Chapter 39

Optimus' POV

"ALLISON!" I called back for the young woman that was taken off my pedes. I had to get to her. I knew she wasn't afraid of the Decepticons, especially Starscream.

"Optimus!" I heard a voice below me. I looked down below me to see two bots.

"Wreckers!" I called back.

"Optimus we're coming." They quickly moved to find a way to get to me.

Sentinel's POV

I stood up from my crouched position on a building in the middle of the city. I opened my com link, "Decepticons around the world, launch the pillars." Pillars started to raise around the city and I knew all over the world they were going up as well. Soon it would all begin and be over. The humans would serve us or die.

Brains POV

We had managed to escape Shockwave for now. "Ahh, we are so lost!" Wheelie yelled walking down the middle of the street beside me. I had no clue where we were but seeing how the sounds of battle were distant we were quite a ways from the others.

"Always left out," I said just as angry as he was. We were small so most think that we wouldn't be any good in battle.

"Excellent. Allison wouldn't have left us out like this!" Wheelie shouted. He was clearly fond of this human who was the protector of the Allspark.

"It's time to lay down the law," I said continuing to move down the street. When I found a Decepticon I was going to use the plan Allison did, CWA. Can of whup ass.

"By to be the hurt now," Wheelie said.

Sam's POV

I was running I front of Epps and the other soldiers with us. Carly was right behind me and I was holding her hand. Blue light was pulsing from the south west corner of the building. "They're starting, you see it?" I asked continuing to run from it. Suddenly Starscream appeared above us. I continued to run forward with Carly. "We can run this way."

Epps POV

As Starscream flew above I ducked into a building, "Get down!" I ordered. Once inside I looked around and saw that we were too short. "Where are Sam and Carly?" I asked the only other black man on the team. He looked around humming in thought, confused. "I give you one thing to do. One thing to do and you drop the ball on that!" I shouted. Those kids were not soldiers.

The only kid out of the bunch that had any training was Allison and only because she insisted. She did not relay on others for protection but herself. "I never signed up for all of this. Got aliens blasting me, running around chasing me. I'm ducking in churches and buildings and all that kind of crap. This is bullshit, I didn't sign up for this, Epps. I'm trying to keep it together."

Allison's POV

Starscream had dropped me off with Sentinel. I was stuck for the moment. Sentinel had threatened to step on me if I tried to run. So I sat silently trying to think of a plan. I didn't dare reveal my bracelets to be weapons are my two necklaces to be a panic button or subspace.

Sam's POV

Carly and I were stuck and alone between two buildings trying to use a flipped school bus for cover. "What a treat, you and me. Alone," Starscream slobbered.

"Come on, come," I said to Carly pulling her close from sitting under the hood of the school bus. "Let's run. He's after me not you. Wait, run, run," I said pulling her through the missing windshield, running the length of the bus as Starscream cut in half.

"You can't hide boy!" Where was Allison? She wasn't afraid to stand up to this guy. She would even talk to him.

"Run, move it," I said pushing Carly to another hiding place.

"I love it when your little insect feet try to run!" Starscream said coming after us. I pulled my bag of my shoulder and pulled out a boom stick and one of the grapple gloves. I slung my bag back over my shoulder. "You!" Starscream shouted as I put the glove on. "Thought you were working for us boy!" I turned on the grapple glove which latched on to Starscream's eye.

"Sam!" Carly screamed as I was pulled off the ground.

"My eye! My eye!" Starscream yelped. I was thrown around and even though a window just as Lennox showed up to see.. Outside I could hear other voices, Carly's be the loudest.

"Sam!"

"Target, Decepticon," I heard Lennox say but just barely over Starscream's screaming.

"Lennox you've got to save Sam! You've got to save him!" Carly yelled.

"What the hell is he doing?" I heard Lennox ask.

I finally managed to get my hands back on the boom stick and activate it as I was pulled back through the window. "This had better work!"

I was dragged out the window as Starscream continued his screaming. Once on his face I drove the boom stick into his other eye. "Ow, ow, ow. I can't see. I can't see." He was banging his head into the pavement, dragging me under his chest.

"Sam, take my hand," Lennox called as I was yo-yo-ed up and down. He managed to grab me and the line.

"Cut the line, cut the line, not that much!" I yelled panicked because there was a bomb right above me.

"I'm trying!" Lennox yelled back. Both of us were like a yo-yo now.

"The line," I said again still panicked.

"You humans," Starscream growled.

"We have 20 seconds on that bomb!" I shouted.

"What bomb!?" Lennox asked now trying harder to cut the line.

"See that boom?" I asked.

"I got," Lennox replied. "Hold on to me now," he said as the line began to snap. I wrapped my arms around him as we began to fall.

"I'll kick you!" Starscream yelled as he flew up wards. His head exploded just as Bee caught Lennox and I and transforming so we ended up on his hood. He backed up just as Starscream fell where he was parked just seconds ago.

"Well he's dead," I said. I was now running with Lennox and some of his soldiers. "Okay he's going to run with the rest of the Auto bots, meet us at the river." Bee had gone ahead.

"All right," Lennox said.

"We gotta get across the river. You see that?" I asked pointing at the pillar that was glowing blue. "She said the control pillar is that first cupola," I said still running alongside Lennox.

"Go, move, let's move," Lennox said to his men.

Over Lennox's radio came more information about the help that was coming. "Tomahawks are inbound. ETA 20 minutes."

Brain's POV

"He sucked me in, there was nothing I could do." Wheelie had managed to get us into trouble. We had been sucked into a Decepticon which was actually a spaceship. That was his alt mode.

"Uh, oh," I said looking around. "This is a total cluster form." We were screwed. "They have something to guard," I said looking around.

"We're in the heart of their ship, let's give him a little ride," Wheelie said with a devilish grin splitting across his face plates.

"Ho, ho we going to screw this ship up," I said getting the same idea. This was going to be fun even though it would probably kill us.

Simmons's POV

"I'm in the traffic cameras. Four auto bots are captured," Dutch said working on the computer in front of him trying to help our friends from where we were in DC.

"Oh my god, we're helpless," Mearing said seeing the destruction of the city. Bodies lay on the ground and some had been turned to ass, others were under collapsed buildings. The soldiers were standing there, looking for something.

"Just pan the camera around, all right. All right pan." the camera didn't move. Dutch turned to the person sitting next to him. "Pan right, that's you." The bridges were up. "Trying to get into the bridge control."

"What are they doing? They are just standing there," Mearing said.

"Hang on, Dutch, see if you can hack into the bridge," I said and he immediately started typing away on his computer.

Lennox's POV

"The pillar has been set; with those pulses getting faster it's going to happen soon. Still no sign of Optimus," I said over the radio. There was also no sign of Allison. She normally would be with Optimus on something like this so I hoped she was at his side. Currently I was standing on the wrong side of the river to join in the battle. The bridges were up, making getting across impossible. "How do we get these bridges down? Spread out, check in there," I ordered pointing to what looked to be a control center. I noticed Epps coming toward us, on the same side of the river that we were. "Epps, you're here, what are you doing here?"

Epps and I embraced each other in a one arm hug. After pulling apart Epps answered, "Your timing is wack, even worse, we can't get across the river to that dude," Epps said pointing to the roof of the building we needed to get to. Sentinel must be there. "And the Auto bots are upstairs surrounded." That wasn't good. We didn't have enough Auto bots for the amount of Decepticons coming in.

"Sir," one of my men said calling my attention to him. I looked down to him. "The seals are here." I went down the stairs to greet them as they pulled themselves up and out of the water.

"Oh, it's a good day boys, what do you got?" I asked and if Allison was here she would jump on me for improper grammar.

"Got ten maned navy seal element sir, and just charging in Tomahawks," the leader answered.

"How long?" I asked.

"Fifteen," he answered.

"All right you're gonna need your 40 mike-mikes in your frags. Go full auto, the vibrations jack up their circuits. Snipers shoot for the eyes. All right your target is up on that building, in that cupola," I said.

Sentinel's POV

I walked from the northeast cupola to the southeast cupola, "How doomed are Auto bots. Simply fail to understand that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few," I reached out the pillar to turn it on and turned on my com. "Activating the bridge."

Simmons's POV

"It's 128K binary inscription. It's difficult, but not for me, I'm in, bridge down." Dutch hit a key on the key board and we saw on the camera that the bridges went down.

We saw Lennox point to the bridge, "The bridge is coming down. Someone's watching over us."

Optimus' POV

I was still tangled in the lines from the cranes. The Wreckers were trying to untangle me and it was going slow. Unfortunately I couldn't do anything to help. I was worried about Allison. Starscream had taken her and I hadn't seen either of them since. "Prime, they're triggering the pillars," of the Wreckers called with his English accent. I hoped that Allison was okay, as soon as I was free I would have to deal with the pillar and Sentinel. If she was the fighter I had learned her to be, then she would be fine.

Bee's POV

I had been captured and I saw no way of escape. Three cons and me and Wheel Jack surrounded, pushed down on our knees with our hands behind our head. The man that had taken Carly came towards covered in dirt and grime, his suite disheveled. "Prisoners? You're keeping prisoners?"

The Decepticon that he had walked up to answered him, "yeeess," he hissed.

"You need to teach them about respect. This was all business, but now it's personal. Do you understand me?" Was he giving orders to the Decepticons?

The Decepticon laughed, "I understand. No prisoners. Only trophies."

"Bee, I think they're going to kill us," Wheel Jack said. I whirred in acknowledge, fear pumping through, making me want to fight, but I knew it was useless.

The con that had been taking to Dylan, I think his name was pulled Wheel Jack causing him to remain crouched as he tried to walk backwards. "You. Your time is up."

"Wait, wait, wait. We surrender, we give, we're your prisoners," Wheel Jack said. The con had let go of him Wheel Jack was backing away.

"Move it," the Con growled pushing him causing him to stumble.

"Can't we talk this out? We're all a bunch of good chaps. I mean in all…uuh!" he yelled as he was shot. "Why did you?" asked but was cut off by a second shot that took his head off.

"Good bye my old friend," I said hanging my head in grief before I was grabbed by the con that had killed my friend.

"You're mine now," he growled. I heard Sam's voice nearby. With what was going to happen, I didn't want him here. He didn't need to see this.

"I gotta help him."

"What?" I heard Carly ask. They were in the upturned car just a few feet from me. "What are you going to do?"

"I gotta help him."

You can't help him. Sam."

The con pushed me, "turn around," he ordered.

Wheelie's POV

"We, we never had it around," Brains said as we walked around the ship.

"We did it Brains, we did it. Rip this ship apart," I said pulling wires from the wall causing them to spark. Soon the ship started to tilt down, it was going down. We both hugged the wall, standing side by side. "We…we had a nice run Brains, you and me."

"Yeah," Brains agreed. "We're gonna die."

Bee's POV

I looked at Sam, knowing I was about to die. I was pushed to my knees. "We had a hell of run." I said to him without alerting the cons that he was there. I still had to protect him. I saw tears slide down his face as he sat in the car. There was nothing he could do. I just had to hope that Allison could bring me back like she had done for two of the triplets. I heard the gun warming up behind me when I heard the wail of a falling ship.

A con ship was falling out of the sky, it landed on the con behind me giving me the opportunity to kill the other three that were there quickly. Once they were dead I turned to Sam and nodded.

Lennox's POV

(I may have some of this part wrong from the movie. Sorry, but you're just going to have to deal with it. I may fix it later.)

A group of my men ran towards myself and Epps, "Okay baby you're coming with us."

"Epps third floor, we're going to 45." We ran up to the 45th floor and as we approached the windows I ordered for two snipers to take the front windows overlooking where we would be jumping. "All right dock up," I ordered setting up my chute and my men did the same. The others loaded up their guns positioning themselves in the windows overlooking a group of cons. Those who were jumping pulled their chutes on.

"Its up to twenty minutes," one of my men called after looking below us.

Epps' POV

I lead my men so we were right below Lennox and his team. "Set up the shot," I ordered as we reached our location.

Lennox's POV

"All right set up," I ordered. Below me I could hear the cons talking to each other in what sounded like in their native tongue. "We got five targets and Shockwave right below us." I ordered. Soon we were all standing in the window. The plan was to take them surprise.

"Standby to jump," came over the radio.

"All right let's go. Get ready, get ready," I responded. We all got up in the windows. The cons continued to talk below us. Everybody jump," I ordered and then we were flying through the air.

"Go, go," the men ordered as we sailed through the air.

Epps' POV

As Lennox soared through the air falling downward I ordered my men to take out the eyes of the cons. They quickly fired, blinding most of the cons before Lennox and his men landed.

The man beside me got on his radio, "all right demo team let's crank steel." The fired at them to distract them before sticking bombs into their, then quickly backing off.

"Turning steel," one of them said over the radio as they continued to stick bombs in the feet of the cons.

Men fired from the ground as Lennox and his team was drifting in the air. Lennox's chute got wrapped around the horns of Shockwave. When he landed he fired his gun. One of my men fired and I turned to him, "Don't fire till I tell you." My men were starting to land among the cons; firing now could kill my men. Someone landed on Shockwave's neck and fired into what would be his spine.

If he were human it would have killed him. A man got thrown onto a roof of a car and Lennox rushed over to him. Through my scope I could see it was just a kid. "All right, good job kid," Lennox said.

"Fire!" I yelled as I turned to my men before facing out the window and firing. The gun fire coming from several directions seemed to confuse the Cons. Two of the Wreckers drove up, also firing. When Shockwave started to fall I yelled, "We got him!"

"Yeah," the man beside me said.

Bee's POV

As I pulled up to where Lennox was with some other Auto bots I made a comment about the cons, "On the run." I let Sam and Carly out of my front seats.

"Mortar that bridge," Ratchet said to some humans in the top of a military vehicle. Sam and Carly ran through the city to a phone booth, looking for a safe place to hide, which was right next to where Ratchet was standing.

I could hear Sentinel's voice carrying over the city towards us, "It's our world now. Commence transport." Suddenly Cybertron appeared, it was being pulled into earth's atmosphere.

"Oh my god," Sam said stepping out of the bus stop or phone booth that he was in. With that Allison appeared on scene with a few scratches and bruises.

Allison's POV

Sentinel had been distracted by bringing Cybertron here. I used that to time to slip away. Bee was right below me. When I reached Sam and Carly I looked more at the dead planet come closer and closer. It was huge. Sam, Carly, and I moved back into the bus stop cover that he had been using as debris started to fly around us.

I heard the flight engines of an Auto bot and looked up to see Optimus. "Optimus!" Sam shouted. Optimus drove right into the blade, using his blades as he danced through the cons, humans, and Auto bots. I ran to move with him, staying under him as I fought, firing my canon. I could feel the heat from the explosions singe the hair on my arms as I moved through the city. Cars were being thrown by Optimus' blades.

As Optimus did a dive tuck roll I broke off from him to go stand next to Bee and Ratchet. I would rejoin him later. "Squishy!" I heard someone yell. It could only be one bot.

I turned to see a tall golden mech with a few dents and scratches in his paint. "Sunny!" I called running toward him. I ran onto an upturned car and jumped into the air as I reached the front bumper. Sunny caught me and held me close to him. If we weren't in battle I would have this stranger than I did now. I had finally figured out that I loved this mech. Now I just had to figure out if he felt the same.

I heard Optimus growl, "You die." I turned to see him tearing Shockwave apart. He fired at the pillar. It went crashing to the ground.

"Nooo!" Sentinel cried. The transport stopped, it had been disconnected.

"Put me down Sunny, I need to get to that pillar." He set me down but stopped me before I could run off.

"You be careful."

"I will, make sure you do the same," I answered before running off not wanting for his promise.

"Get down here Sentinel," Optimus called.

Sentinel spun his blade in a circle. "Optimus, you forget your place." He slid down the building using his blade to slow him down. "I bring you Cybertron, your home, and still you choose humanity."

Optimus loaded his weapons, a blade and an axe with red hot edges. "You were the one who taught me freedom is everyone's right." They both started to duel each other as I ran for the pillar.

"I will retrigger that pillar," Sentinel yelled. Not on my watch he wouldn't.

"Then you'll have to go through me," Optimus replied. Optimus pinned him to the side of the building. A few minutes later Sam was running next to me. I heard Sentinel break free of Optimus' grasp.

"Carly is going to kill you if you die," I said not even out of breath, my long hair whipping around my face.

"Guards to the pillar!" Sentinel shouted. I ran with Sam who was out of breath.

"Odds are not in our favor right now," Sam said.

"For winning, yes they are. The question is what price will we have to pay? I'm more worried about after when I have to deal with the world leaders because the Auto bots were exiled. They ignored a direct order and I may not be able to protect them." I put on extra speed give to me by the Allspark and pulled a head of Sam. I started up my laser and fired at the pillar.

"What are you doing?" Sam asked.

"Making it so if that is restarted that it will blow up. I got to go help Optimus. Will you be all right on your own?" I asked.

"Reinforcements to me. Decepticon six, fire at Optimus!" Sentinel ordered. I growled looking at him. How could he do this? Optimus had been his student, they had been brothers.

"Yeah, go help Optimus," Sam said. I ran up beside Lennox, "when are those tomahawks coming?"

He spoke into his radio, "Fire, I need those tomahawks here now!"

"First wave incoming," was the answer that came over the radio.

"We have to lay down cover for Optimus. I need to get to him, Sentinel will try to kill him if Optimus doesn't do what he wants," I said to Lennox.

"Trigger the pillars!" Sentinel cried. If he did have some retrigger them then there would be an explosion. Lennox nodded to me. I took that as my que. "Decepticons, trigger the pillar. Restart that pillar."

I ran towards Optimus, he had Sentinel pinned against the side of the building but Sentinel broke free. "I can't hold him, this step I must bend," Optimus said. Sentinel was thrown to the ground and he transformed and drove off. Optimus ran after him. Bullets flew by my head and I weaved in and out of fallen Cybertronians, humans, and upturned cars.

Soon gunfire was soon hitting Sentinel. I continued to ran after them as they kept moving away from me. I then heard one of the Primes, "Go to the bridge youngling and wait. They will come to you, help Optimus when he is down." I listened and went off my current course and let the Allspark take me to where I need to go.

Sam's POV

I saw Dylan ahead of me, he was heading for the pillar. "Dylan!" I shouted at him. He was already climbing the pieces of fallen building to reach the pillar.

"No!" he shouted at me before kicking a column down to greet me. It took me off my feet. I got back up and held my hands up to show that I didn't want to fight.

"Dylan stop, stop."

"No," he said as though we were two and he was winning the argument over the toy.

"You can't do this, okay?" I asked. I was trying to make him understand that life as he knew it would be cover if this happened. "If you turn that thing back on it will blow up."

"There's only one future for me," Dylan replied before restarting the pillar despite me pulling at him to try to stop him.

Megatron's POV

I sat against a building that was almost completely destroyed. I leaned back pulling some cloth from my head that I had worn in Africa. When this was over I would be able to study that little human who had ruined my plans one to many times. "Cybertron, you are saved, at last." I then noticed one of the insects coming up to me, as though she weren't afraid. But this was not Allison. "Oh, have you come to surrender?" I asked.

She climbed up onto fallen decries and I ignored her. She was of no significance. Once she was eye level with my sitting form she started talking. "Was it all worth it?"

"Obviously," I answered looking away.

"All your work to bring Sentinel back and now clearly he has all the power. It's actually almost tragic."

I turned to her and swiped at her, knocking her off her feet. "You dare lecture me, slave," I growled.

"You're Decepticons finally conquering this planet and yet their leader won't be you," she said in a strong voice, though fear was in her eyes.

"It will be me, it will always be me," I growled completely pissed.

We were inches apart from each other, she glared at me. "Any minute now, you'll be nothing but Sentinel's bitch." I growled at her and reached for her. I stopped, realizing that she was right. The other cons would be laughing at me.

Sam's POV

Dylan was stomping on me trying to push me down and away from the pillar. "You chose side, you chose." He kept stomping on me till I fell and my back collided with something hard. My world went black.

Allison's POV

I watched as Sentinel and Optimus exchanged blows with their blades. Both of them were now on the opposite side of the bridge that I was on. "Always the bravest of us Optimus, but you never could make the hard decisions. Now! Our planet will survive."

"No," Optimus said. Sentinel then drove his sword into the joint of Optimus' shoulder. He pushed the blade out to the side removing Optimus' arm.

I moved to intervene. "Not yet young one, just wait a few more seconds," one of the primes said to me. I resisted the urge to run to Optimus' side. He was crawling on the ground, using his good arm. He reached for Sentinel and begged for him to stop.

"We were gods once, all of us." He kicked Optimus off of him and started to raise his blade above his head.

"Now young one." I raced forward at the Prime's command, transforming into a wolf as I went.

"But here," Sentinel said bringing the blade even higher.

"Please," Optimus begged beginning kicked down again.

"There will only be one." With that I was jumping off of Optimus' shoulder, using like a spring board to get the speed I needed, as I soared through the air towards Sentinel and I pushed my front paws into his shoulder, knocking him off balance.

"While I'm here you won't be hurting anyone." Before he could react to me Megatron fired upon him.

"This is MY planet." I let them duke it out and went to check on Optimus.

Sam's POV

I had come to and picked up a steel rod with a big clump of cement on the end. When rubble fell off of it he turned to look at me. "I just saved a whole other world. You think you're a hero? Huh, you think you're a hero?" he shouted.

I tightened my grip on the pole. "No. I'm just a messenger," I said hitting him in the head with the cement. He fell into the pillar that had somehow managed not to blow up when he turned it back on. He was shocked by the pillar and when it let him go he fell to the ground dead. I dropped my weapon and looked in shock at what I had done.

"The pillar's still connected," Ratchet called.

"Watch, wait up," one of the Wreckers said. He had an English accent.

"Bee!" Ratchet called as Bee raced toward the pillar.

"Get going, get going. Let's move it!" I could hear Lennox shouting. Someone else said that the pillar was still connected.

"Bring that pillar down," the same Wrecker from earlier said. Someone shot as Bee curled his body around it. I hoped it wouldn't explode and kill Bee. As it turned out the explosion was very small, but Cybertron imploded in on itself. Lennox stood next to me as we watched the Auto bots home be completely destroyed.

Allison's POV

Sentinel was down on the ground, Megatron standing over him, but ignoring him. "No," Sentinel said and I could hear the pain in his voice. If he hadn't had started all this I might actually feel sorry for him. For Optimus and the others I definitely felt sorry for. They had just given up their home to protect ours.

"We need a truce. All I wanted was to be back in charge, besides…who would you be without me? Prime." Megatron asked.

Optimus got back on his feet and picked up his axe. "Time to find out," he answered. He dropped his shield and engaged Megatron in battle. The whole fight lasted less than fifteen seconds. He embedded his axe into his brother's head and ripped from his body. He dropped the axe to the ground and raised his shield.

Optimus bent down to pick up Megatron's gun. His one good arm all he had to fight with. The wires in his other shoulder were sparking and leaking Energon. "Optimus. All I ever wanted was the survival of our race. You must see why I had to betray you." Sentinel was on his knees. He wouldn't look at Optimus.

"None of your plans were necessary. The original primes want me to help your race survive, to have helped Cybertron," I said.

Optimus cocked the gun, "You didn't betray me, you betrayed yourself."

"NO, Optimus!" Sentinel cried before Optimus fired. The first shot didn't kill him so Optimus fired again. When Sentinel was dead Optimus sighed and I could hear the sad hum that his vents let out. I walked up to him and placed my hand on his leg. He looked down at me and I could see the grief in his optics.

"I'm sorry you had to do that Optimus," I said.

"Thank you Allison. I'm sorry that I didn't listen to you."

"Don't worry about that Optimus. What's done is done. Now my job is to convince the world leaders to let you stay."

"Sam," Lennox said drawing our attention elsewhere. Sam looked to see Carly running to him, pushing her way through some soldiers.

When Sam reached her he embraced her and kissed her. "I love you."

"I love you," he replied. "You're the only thing I need in this world, and I'll do anything to make it up to you. I promise."

"I'm gonna hold you to that, just never let me go," Carly said.

"Promise," Sam said still holding her. Bee opened his chasis and pulled put some gears and threw them to the ground.

"Oh rings," Carly said picking one up and looking at before wrapping her fingers around it. Bee started to play a wedding tune of when the bride walks down the aisle. "I love this car," she said smiling.

"But you gotta slow down. You gotta slow way down, okay?" Sam asked.

Bee rolled his shoulders before replying, "I'm just trying to help out." I laughed.

Ratchet put his hand on Bee's shoulder, "You fought bravely. I turned to look at Optimus and I could hear him over my com link.

"In any war there are calms between storms. There will be days when we lose faith, days when our allies turn against us. But the day will never come that we forsake this planet, and its people." That I wasn't sure about. I had to fight the humans now to get them to allow the Auto bots to stay. This wasn't going to be easy.
