A/N: Something happens in this chapter that you aren't going to like. Sorry about that but I'm afraid it's necessary.
Chapter 44
That night I finally managed to get ahold of the Primes. I told them what was going on and I needed help. "It is a good leader who asks for help when she doesn't know what to do," the tallest Prime said.
"You need Witwicky. You need all of the Allspark to make this work. With its power you can build the rest of the ship, but you'll have to teach him how to use it." I looked to the oldest Prime as he spoke.
"You also must hurry. The government is hunting him and they will not hesitate to kill him young one," the female Prime said.
"I hope to Primus that you get there in time. If you do not the Allspark that lives inside of him will come to you and then you must prove that you are worthy of using its power to build a ship to get you and the others out. We cannot tell you how to do that. You must figure that out for yourself. Now go, dawn is approaching. You must leave now," the oldest Prime spoke again.
With that I jolted awake. I had to get to D.C. I quickly pulled on some clean clothes before running out of the room I was sleeping in. "Sunny! Sides!" I called running through the base. I heard an engine start up and race towards me.
Soon I saw a yellow sports car speed around a corner. "What is it sweet spark?" Sunny asked transforming right in front of me.
"I know what we need to do. We have to go to D.C. Now! We need to get to Sam before the government kills him," I said very quickly.
"When do we leave?"
"Now," I answered just as Ratchet came around the corner.
"Did you just say go to D.C?" Ratchet asked.
"Yes, I have to go, right now. I can use the Allspark to find him. If I don't Ratchet he will be killed. Don't try to stop me," I said as Sunny transformed again and I got into his passenger seat. Ratchet gave Sunny some pain medication for me as we had a ten hour drive ahead of us even with their speeding. As Sunny drove out of the base Sides joined us. I couldn't sit still the whole drive up there and I knew I was driving Sunny crazy but he didn't say anything.
When we got to D.C it was on lockdown for some political thing. "Sunny go to the address I just sent you and take Sides with you. I'll go in alone. One person by herself can sneak in a lot easier. I'll let you know when I have him." I got out of the car.
"You can't go in alone, it's too dangerous," Sunny said.
"I will not lose my friends Sunny. Go to that address. I'll be fine, I promise. If get in trouble I'll call you. Now go, there is no time to waste," I said using the same voice I used with the world council. With that I slipped into the city, avoiding all the cameras and following the Allspark's trail.
I walked for an hour before pain started to set in. I took a deep breath and pushed on. I finally reached his loft and it was completely destroyed. The humans had been here first. I went in to see if anyone was still alive. I found no one, not even the dog, but I did find blood stains on what was once the floor. There was too much there for anyone to have survived and the Allspark was making the blood look like lightening arching in it. Sam was dead.
It was now up to me to try to use the Allspark, but first I had to go see if Sam's parents were still alive, Mikaela. I absorbed the Allspark from Sam's blood and left. I had Lennox and Epps on the base with their families. They had accepted the protection immediately. My family had refused and paid the price, all of them several months ago. I commed Sunny, "We were too late. We need to go check on his parents in Nevada."
"I'll let Optimus know," Sides said.
"I'm sorry Allison," Sunny said as I made my way out of the city avoiding the cameras again.
"Let's just try to save his family," I said. I walked to the abandoned parking lot where there were no cameras where Sides and Sunny were waiting. I got in Sunny's passenger seat, "I need my pain medication Sunny," I said leaning back into his seat. He gave me my medication and I went to sleep while he drove. I had three months left to get the Auto bots out.
