Zoro smiled at her as he heading to where Nami stood. "Just come to check whether Killer send you home safely"
Nami smiled knowingly. She knew that wasn't the reason but somehow she found it interesting that she just played along. "He did right?" she assured him.
They fell silence for a while before Zoro broke the silence "Wanna have a cup of tea?"
Nami gave a thought. "I thought, you were in a hurry that you left early"
Zoro looked at his watch and showed her "There's still some time". He let Nami scanned his watch. "So?"
Nami smirked "Sure! Why not?". She then locked her door again as she followed Zoro to the car.
As soon as Nami got into the car, Zoro drove off.
"Where are we going?" Nami turned her head to Zoro as the man set his sight on the road.
"A place you know is good for an upset stomach"
Nami thought of some places, but decided to let the man choose. "Anywhere is fine. Your treat" she demanded.
"Gladly" Zoro smiled and sped off.
Zoro came to a stop at a small teahouse. They got out and headed to teahouse after Zoro parked his car.
"This place sure has changed a lot" Nami said as they stepped inside. She looked around her surrounding. As much as it changed, she felt nostalgic.
They stepped into a room the hostess had led them to. The hostess took their order before she drew away.
Zoro studied her form as she kept studying her surroundings.
Nami's eyes darted from one to another hanging decoration on the ceiling.
"Do you really need to look deep at the very inch of this building?" Zoro asked as he chuckled.
Nami then set her eyes on Zoro. "No… no… I just…" She then looked around her. "It's warm and cozy, isn't it?"
"Is that your only concern?"
"Not really" Nami flushed. Truth be told, she really wanted to ask him lot of questions. However, she didn't know where to start and how to say it. She didn't want him to think she still couldn't get over their past relationship.
The hostess came with their orders on the tray before she left the pair again.
"I couldn't believe you still can maintain your friendship with him despite his twisted personality" Zoro spoke.
Nami knew who he meant. A smile formed on her lips. "The same reason you can make up with him"
"Heh… it was just Killer nagging me"
"Killer was?" Nami blurted. A little shock. "So thoughtful. Put that aside, what's up between you two?"
Zoro settled his cup on the table as he looked at her, "He didn't tell you?"
Nami shook her head.
"Then, there's no reason for me to tell you too" Zoro added.
Nami pouted. "Both of you are just the same" she took her cup and brought it to her lips.
And so they were enjoying their peaceful night exchanging talks and stuffs. After a while, they left the teahouse. Together got inside the car and drove off.
The car came to a stop at the junction of Nami's house. She got out from the car. Soon after, Zoro escorted her to her house.
"Thanks for the treat Zoro" Nami said as she opened the door.
"Aah" He replied. "Are you staying alone?"
"Currently yes" Nami stood, still holding her door as they talked.
Zoro checked on his watch.
"It's late. I'm leaving. See you tomorrow" Zoro said as he backed off slowly.
"Goodnight" Nami said as she watched him turned his body around.
Zoro only replied was rising his hand and waved.
Nami smiled as she closed the door. She leaned her forehead against the door, and placing her palm on her chest trying to settle herself. After a while, she smiled, satisfied.
The next morning, as she was making her way to the bus stop, a car stopped near her. Nami stopped walking and waited for the person to wind down his car window.
"Get inside" Zoro ordered her.
Nami smiled and got into the car.
"You're not drunk, aren't you?" Nami giggled as she pulled the seat belt.
Zoro gave her a questioning look but then understood what she implied. He sighed. "Maybe. I was drunk and didn't realize I drive here"
"That's sneaky" Nami eyed him with suspicious. "Were you driving way from your house to mine?"
"What do you think?" Zoro glanced at her with a smirk.
Nami wanted to know if fetching Tashigi ever came to his mind so she asked him. "Are we just going straight to office?"
"Yes"
Nami smiled. She knew she shouldn't be happy but the thought of Zoro prioritized her over Tashigi made her stomach fluttered.
"Let's go buy breakfast then go to office" Zoro suggested. "I can hear your stomach growling" he added.
Nami flushed. "No! I am not" she hit him playfully. All of sudden, her stomach growled making her stop hitting him. She could feel her blood rushing to her face. She then darted her eyes somewhere else when Zoro turned his head to her giving her his mischievous smirk.
"Told ya" Zoro said.
"Your treat" Nami demanded, nearly died from the embarrassment but tried her hard to cover it up.
"No probs" He then traveled his eyes looking for a drive-thru. Then he saw McDonald's drive-thru ahead of them.
"How about McD?" Zoro asked.
Nami agreed.
Zoro then, carefully took the right lane heading to the McDonald's drive-thru. After ordering their menus through the intercom, he proceed to take their orders.
Zoro parked his car at the reserve parking lot of their office building. Together with Nami, they headed to their department.
Stepped out the elevator, she noticed their office was still empty. "Woah… I am early".
"It's no wonder. Normally, you took bus, so it will take some time" Zoro flicked the switches. He put the beverages on the small round table in front of the pantry. "Nami, let's eat"
Nami nodded and took a seat next to him, began eating their breakfast.
"At what time normally they come?" Nami asked as she bite the pancake.
Zoro looked at his watch, "They won't come unless it is after 8.00"
Nami nodded. "So you always come this early"
"Or Smoker" Zoro replied.
Both of them stopped eating for a while when they heard footsteps towards their office.
"Probably Smoker" Zoro guessed continued chewing his food.
She then heard someone clearing his throat. Zoro guessed right because when she turned her head, she saw Smoker came and headed to where they sat.
Nami felt uneasy. What would Smoker think when he saw them sitting and eating breakfast together. Would he suspect anything.
"Morning" Smoker greeted.
Zoro and Nami nodded, "Morning"
"You come early than usual Nami" Smoker said while looking at her.
That just made Nami become more nervous than she already did. Nami just laughed a little, didn't know what to say.
"And enjoying unhealthy breakfast too" with that Smoker left them and headed to the office.
Nami felt a little bit relief when she saw him left. "So he didn't suspect anything?" she questioned herself.
After a while, Smoker exited his room.
"By the way, I won't be here today. I need to go to visit a new site" Smoker than darted his eyes to Nami.
"New?" Zoro asked.
"Seems so" with that he left.
"Are you seeing ghost?" Zoro asked, noticing Nami just kept silence.
"Huh?" Nami startled. "No… no…" Nami shook her head then continue eating her breakfast. "By the way Zoro. During the presentation, are you going to be there too?"
"Yes. But you will be presenting alone" Zoro watched her as she was deep in thought. "Why? You need me?" he smirked.
Nami gave him funny look.
"Don't worry, you're not going to present in the board meeting. Even so, I know you will have no problem because you already saw the map, don't you? We did measure everything. And all that left is to put them into words"
Nami nodded thoughtfully.
"And if Smoker acknowledges your performance, in no time, he will delegate a big task to you like the others"
A smile bloomed on her lips. "I can't wait". She got up, still holding her coffee cup. "I think, I need to prepare all the necessary documents, don't you think so?" she headed to her table.
Zoro shrugged with a smile, tidying up all the leftovers and dumped it into the nearest dustbin, as he also was ready to start his task.
After half an hour, Tashigi arrived. Then several minutes later, Sanji and the rest came..
"Nami-san! You are early" Tashigi greeted.
"Mmm… Just a change of mood" Nami replied as she flipped through her files.
"Wanna go for breakfast? We still have some time before starting our work" Tashigi invited.
"No thanks. I've had my breakfast already" Nami showed her the coffee cup.
"Okay" Tashigi nodded and went to Zoro's room.
"Morning, Zoro-san!"
Zoro looked up just to see Tashigi popped her head behind the door. He lifted her head a little to acknowledge her presence.
Tashigi came in and sat in front of him.
"Wanna go for a breakfast?" Tashigi asked.
"Thanks. I had mine. Go with Vivi and the others"
Tashigi nodded. "Are you sure?"
"Yes" Zoro nodded.
"Then, I'll be going" Tashigi rose to her feet and left Zoro.
She then went to Vivi's table. As she passed the pantry, she got a glance at the McD's wrapper inside the dustbin. Second later, Tashigi, Vivi, Sanji, Usopp and Luffy left the office. Only Brook left as he spent his time making his own coffee.
And as usual, the office seemed to be quiet during the office hour. They were focusing on their tasks respectively.
Having focusing too much at her task, Nami noticed it was nearly the end of the office hour. So she decided to stop.
"Ahhh… I'm beat" Nami said as she stretched.
That was once Nami noticed a cup of coffee on her table. She looked up just to see Tashigi smiled at her.
"You work really hard, Nami-san" Tashigi said as she sat on Nami's table. "Rest a while"
Nami nodded as she took the cup.
"You didn't even take your lunch"
"Oh, that! I'm not that hungry. And I can still hold on until dinner"
"How convenient" Tashigi said with a smile.
The ladies were talking through the evening waiting for the hour to end.
As soon as the punch card machine sang, they tidying up their table, getting ready to leave.
Altogether they exited the building and walked to the opposite direction. Tashigi and the others to the parking lot while Nami to the bus stop. Everyday, it went on just like that.
"Bye! See you tomorrow Nami-san!" Tashigi waved her goodbye. As usual, they split into the opposite direction.
Nami was leaning her head against the pole waiting for a bus. It'd been three days since Law left. She thought of calling him but then thinking he would be busy, she gave up the idea. Somehow, she thought, she neglected Law. But she was also busy with her tasks and the latter didn't call or text her too, so she thought he might be busy too.
At the same time, she wandered about Zoro. For the past few days, she had noticed that Zoro became so gentle, warm, kind, and… simply saying, making her comfortable. And somehow, he spent almost of his time teasing her in which making Tashigi and Vivi kinda shocked. Tashigi said, he was just so happy because Smoker praised their work while Vivi stated that Zoro began to open up a little to Nami.
Nami didn't say anything about that. Just leaving them with their own assumptions. Not that she lied; she just felt she needn't to tell them everything about her past. That just wasn't necessary. Moreover, Zoro didn't seem to tell Tashigi about them either since Tashigi never brought up story about Zoro's past.
Now that she thought about it, was Zoro having difficulties to tell Tashigi about them like she did? For someone like him, he also had that trouble. Although he had that cold exterior, deep inside, he was actually a very considerate person. Not that she didn't know. She knew, but she forgot about that.
"Dreaming are you?" a voice pulled Nami from her continuous train of thoughts. When she looked up, she saw Zoro stood next to her.
"Zo-Zoro…" Nami stood.
"I've been standing here for quite some time you know. And you keep ignoring me"
"I-I… I didn't realize" Nami explained. "Sorry"
"Why so serious? You seemed to be in a deep thought you missed two busses already"
"I-I did?" Nami eyes widened. She checked the time on her phone. It was past ten minutes. The bus should be there around 5.30 pm. Nami then gave him a stern look.
"Just kidding" Zoro chuckled. "What were you thinking?" he then turned his head to see her.
Nami looked up to meet his eyes. "There's no where in hell I'm going to tell you I was thinking about you". She battled within herself but then replied out loud, "Nothing". She returned her gaze to the front.
Zoro shrugged. They kept silence for a while and waiting for the bus.
"Zoro…" Before Nami could continue, she realized Zoro already pulled her wrist. She looked up "What?"
"Come with me"
Without saying anything, Nami stood and followed him. Zoro still held her wrist as he led her to his car. She knew pretty well she could just pull her hand away but part of her wanted the contact. So she let him holding her wrist.
Nami looked at their conjoined hand. She smiled as he watched his back. Had she known better, the man in front of her was also smiling, enjoying the little contact they just had.
Zoro tightened his hold on her wrist but not hurting her. He opened the door and put Nami on the front seat as he took the driver seat.
"Where are we going exactly?" Nami asked when Zoro started his engine.
"Your house" Zoro answered shortly.
Nami shocked. "Zoro?"
"If I ask you, I know you'll decline. So this is the only way" Zoro said.
Nami sighed and darted her eyes to the road. "You got me good".
"I know what to do" Zoro said as he glanced at her.
Zoro escorted Nami to her house.
"Would you mind to stay for a coffee?" Nami asked.
Zoro smirked. "I'll be more than happy to accept that"
"Come on in" Nami opened the door. As she walked inside, she battled with her mind, thinking about things she should and shouldn't say. She could hear his footstep following her to the living room. She knew, she shouldn't bring him there but her body just moved automatically.
"Just wait here. I'm going to serve coffee"
Zoro sat on the couch. He looked at his surroundings. That brought lot of memories too. He used to stay in this house when Nojiko was away.
"Where's Nojiko?" Zoro asked when he saw Nami came.
"She is attending a short course" Nami poured the coffee into the cup and passed it to Zoro.
"Thanks"
She took a seat next to him. There was silence between them. Just before Nami open her mouth, her phone rang. Nami excused herself as she picked her phone.
"Hello!" A smile spread on her lips.
Zoro watched her answering the phone excitedly. He didn't have to guess who the person at the other side was. He studied her form as she talked. Watching her hand unconsciously grabbing her necklace. He winced at the sight, feeling a stab to his heart. The fact that she was no longer his rang in his mind.
"Miss you too"
Zoro snapped back when he heard her voice.
Nami paused a little, a smile slowly vanished. "Bye Tora" she said softly.
"Law?" Zoro asked as she put her phone on the table.
Nami nodded.
"Didn't see him for quite some time" Zoro took his cup.
"He is outstation. He told me about press conference or something along the line"
Zoro just nodded and eyeing her. He noticed a change in her expression.
"Why Nami?"
""Nothing really. Maybe I am just tired" Nami unconsciously massaged her neck.
"You are lying sweetheart". But he didn't say anything about that and kept sipping his coffee.
Nami stared off remembering her conversation with Law just now. Although she could tell him she missed him, but when Law uttered "I love you" she lost it. She couldn't reply him back. She just couldn't.
"Nami"
She heard Zoro called her.
"What is troubling you?"
Nami didn't reply him instead; she slid her eyes to Zoro who was not watching her. When their eyes met, her heart beat fast. They stared into each other's eyes. She then realized the reason she couldn't tell Law because Zoro was there. She was aware about the fact very well. But she couldn't hate Zoro for that reason. She just couldn't.
She shouldn't let Zoro stay in her house longer than it already was. She knew she should ask him to leave her but another part of her disapproved the idea and she seconded on that. She knew, if he were here, something would really happen that could change everything she knew. She should ask him to leave. But then again, she just didn't know, why her other part didn't allow her to even say a simple command.
Zoro knew something was lingering in her mind. It was all reflected on her eyes. Confusion, denial, guilty. Everything he could see. He didn't want to know the reason though. He already knew. Guessing would just hurt him so he decided to push all the thought aside. But then, he knew he was already there. He knew he was searching for a chance and this was the right time for him to take the opportunity. One thing for sure, if he didn't do it, he would lose the chance. Just this once, he would know the answer afterwards.
Slowly he took her hand which was clutching on her neck. He could feel her stiffen as he leaned closer to her. When he felt she didn't flinch. He pulled her body closer to his by her shoulder and he could feel her allowing herself to be guided. Their faces now were inch closer. Their eyes met. Zoro waited for her denial to come, but there was nothing.
Zoro gazed at her intensely. He was waiting for her responses; rejecting or accepting. But she didn't give her answer he demanded. He slid his hand on her nape and slowly brought her face closer into his. Sensually, he pressed his mouth unto hers. He waited for her to react, waiting for her denial but there was nothing. So he took that as acceptance.
Nami felt her heart vibrated when his burning eyes shot her. She just couldn't move her eyes away from him. His eyes were like a magnet for hers. The moment Zoro leaned closer and pressed his mouth firmly upon hers, she knew she lost the battle. She already let the man took everything she had stored for another man.
Nami realized his kiss was sensuous and slow compared to the last time where he had been so forceful and dominating. She felt his light brushing giving away to another hard rubbing as he waited for her to respond to his kiss. Nami tentatively brushed her lips against his making him growled.
Zoro took the opportunity to nibble on her bottom lips earning a gasp from her. He leaned forward until he was hovering her. His other thigh slid between her legs as his other hand grabbing her face as he suck and nibble her lower lip. Zoro forcefully slid his tongue inside her mouth tasting her whole before breaking the kiss. He placed another quick kiss at the corner of her mouth before lifting his body up, just above her to watch her.
He brushed his hand gently against her cheek and was rewarded with a lifted lids and relief sigh. Her face reddened. He still could see Nami's eyes were heavy with the passion he just sparked inside her. He knew her confusion and denial were warring against the same passion. He didn't have to guess what cause those emotions. As of now, her affection was firmly set on Law. But, the one who was inspiring passion inside the woman at the moment was him. She might fight all she wanted but he knew she wanted him as much as he did. He couldn't careless about anything, and he was going to make her scream his name tonight.

Arigattey to those who read my story. Not to forget, my constant reviewers, daisuki da yo~
And not to forget, new followers; and those who just added my story into their favourite lists… you know that means a lot to me.
Those anonymous/silence readers who read my story. I know you see this, thank you so much for spending some of your time to read this piece of crap. I hope you like it.
Last but not least, haters: I know there are no haters. Hohoho. So I have nothing to say to you.
Ugghhh! Namiiii what are you doing? Why do I feel like Zoro and Nami are hitting each other again? -_-
Secret Otaku19: Heh, yeah! ZoNa strikes again. I miss ZoNa… I don't know if I will be able to keep LawNa after this ZoNa chapter. :/
KakashiXSakura16: And, here I am presenting another long (eh?) chapter.
Novichan83: Yep… there'll be ZoNa moments starting from this chapter, I think. I also didn't read that novel anymore. Too extreme for me… I would prefer the love scene which didn't highlight the private parts… :3.
ShadouMage: If you have read this chapter, do you think Zoro tried to win Nami back? '3'. I am NamiXHarem (Zoro, Law,Kidd) fan. Before Law and Kidd, I ship ZoNa so hard… for almost 10 years I think… but then when Law appears in the Punk Hazard, I began to ship Law and Nami. Kidd just happened to be in the list because he is cool (and look OK with Nami too)… oh no! I am blabbering too much.
Ahisa Usami: Me also LawXNami fan… but ZoroXNami too and KiddXNami too… so I don't know which one to choose… but I ship ZoroNami a lot… they are my fave pairing ever since I like One Piece. But that doesn't mean I end Nami with Zoro (but who knows). It depends on the plot.
Oh… I didn't check this. So expect lot of mistakes here. Sumimasendeshita~
SPOILER: Hey, do you like love scene between Zoro & Nami? Lalalala~~~
