Chapter: 33 circus set up
Two days later, the circus reached North Africa. The animals were setting up for a show while Alex tried to get Gia to talk to him. Even after two days, his mate had been not been talking to him. Gia stood in a supply cart looking for more neon glowing paint, when she heard Alex's voice. "Gia, please talk to me. I'm sorry for letting my parents come with us. I forgot at the moment about your parents thoughts about my species. Just don't be mad at me." Begged the lion. Gia turned to her mate. "I am not mad at you. I am scared because of how my parents will act later when they lose their temper on you." "Relax my angle things will turn out good in the end." Alex told her as he hugged her. When they broke the hug, Gia looked at Alex. "My love there is something I should tell you….." Gia was then interrupted by the sound of Serena's voice. "Mom, Dad it is time to start the show?" Alex turned to Gia "You can tell me later, the show can't wait."

AJ and Serena where putting the last bit of neon glowing paint on themselves, when they heard Ryan's voice on a walkie talkie. "Hey guys I think I found a New Jersey circus promoter." Said Ryan from the rafters above. AJ grabbed the walkie talkie and asked. "How do you know?" "He's wearing an 'I heart Hoboken NJ' button on his coat. He has to be from there, why else would he wear it?" Ryan answered. "Good tell the others the news because we start in five minutes." Answered AJ. "What now?" asked Adora. "Now comes the fun part, preforming" answered Serena, as she put away the paint. "What do you need me to do?" asked Adora turning to AJ. However the feline didn't answer, instead he stood looking out at the crowd of people. His sister walked over to him. "What's wrong Alex?" The cat turned to face them. "Dubois." He stated simply. Like a balloon being popped by a pin, fear exploded through them. "Zat sorcière is here?" whimpered Adora, as she remembered the chip in her brain and the pain Dubois had used it to inflict her with. "No, she isn't. That is what is worrying me. She has a prime opportunity to kill us and instead according to flight records I examined she left Africa to return to Monty Carlo. She isn't even in the continent anymore." AJ was then interrupted by his brother. "Guys vitally is about to start, we need to get into place." Said Ryan. "Alright we are coming." Said AJ, as he attempted to tuck his fears of what Dubois might be planning into his mind. However he still had a bad feeling.
