Ch: 34 Runt Sickness
The lights in the circus tent began to dim upon the cheering crowd, quieting them. The spotlights all turned to shine on Vitally as he began to apply the hair conditioner to his fur. He then directed his attention to the hoop. The hoop now had a hole the size just slightly thinner than a drinking straw. "Light the hoop on fire!" he yelled. Stefano struck a match and held it to the tiny hoop. The tiny hoop was filled with a small flame around it. The Siberian tiger charged, and passed through the tiny hoop. The cubs, Alex, and Gia stood at the top of the circus tent on the platforms they would jump off into the rings spinning below. In the background, they heard the music to begin to play. The four cubs leapt all at once. The cubs let themselves fall until the last second, when they all grabbed the last set of rings that catapulted them back into the air. They were then were joined by their parents, just as in the background the sound of Stefano and Marty being fired from cannons erupted into the ears of the amassed crowd. (the rest of the show and other animals acts are slightly similar the original one in the third movie).
(two hours later)
The man that Ryan had spotted turned out to be a New Jersey circus promoter and had disparity wanted the circus to come to Hoboken. While the chimps signed the contract in the tent, the cubs and Adora were in Kowalski's lab as AJ booked a cargo ship to take the circus to New Jersey.
"The sooner we get to Hoboken the better, so I can rescue the penguins and we can leave." Said AJ as he typed. "AJ, I really to save the penguins just as much as anyone else but you seem to want to far more than us. Why is zat?" asked Adora. AJ sighed and turned to face the young jaguar. "Adora, I owe the penguins my life." Said the liguar. "If not for them I wouldn't be alive today." Adora stared at AJ, stunned by his words.
"What?" she asked quietly. "When I was a newborn, my runtism caused me to get very sick. The disease has no name, but it affects all runts. In most, it is almost doesn't affect them. In some, it is like a cold or a mild case of the flu. But in very rare cases, the disease is so bad that the runt doesn't live a few weeks past birth." Said AJ. "The penguins saved my life, now I want to save theirs."
Adora sensed something else wrong with AJ, not about the penguins but something or someone in Hoboken was bothering him. "AJ what else es le matter." Asked the French jaguar. Without answering her question, AJ turned off his computer and turned to face them. "I should go tell the others I ordered the ship ticket." Without another word, he left the train cart.
Adora turned to Bella, Ryan, and Serena. "What is it in Hoboken that is making him act like this? He hasn't slept in two days. Please tell me why he es acting like this." She asked a little forcefully.
Bella sighed and turned to her siblings, who nodded in agreement. "Ok Adora, we will tell you, but you may not believe us."
