Chris sat in the lifeguard chair by the end of the dock drinking coffee.
"Last time on Total Drama Island, our Final 4 competitors were left under Chef's care for the challenge while I was away doing some urgent business. Their challenge: navigate the caves and complete a number of challenges to get through to the other side. Our 4 campers proved to be as tough as nails as they pushed through. In the end of it all, Corlissa won immunity and Dutch finally took his leave. We're down to the Final 3! Who will make it to the finale? Will it be Michael, Astrid or Corlissa? The Final 3 were still asleep in the cabins, though this rest didn't last long as Chris woke them up with his airhorn.
"Good morning Final 3! Head over to the mess hall to get your breakfast then meet up with me by the docks. That is all."

Michael: I made it to the semifinals and I am not going to be beaten now!
Astrid: I knew I could make it here! Now all I have to do is beat Michael!
Corlissa: You know, I never really expected to make it this far. But I'm not quitting, I came here to win and that's what I'm going to do!
*end confessionals*
An hour later, the 3 contestants met up with Chris on the docks. He seemed a bit more cheerful than usual.
"Good morning Final 3! Today's challenge will decide who gets to move on to the finale!" Chris announced. The three campers cheered at his announcement. "Now today's challenge will not be easy. Meet me at the cliff and I'll explain the challenge.
On the way to the cliffs, Corlissa spoke with Astrid, she whispered to make sure Michael wouldn't hear.
"Psst. Astrid, we need to team up so we can take Michael down!"
"I'm with you, Michael is a strong guy and he's our last obstacle." Astrid noted
"Let's just promise that when we make it to the finale, it'll be a fair fight." Corlissa proposed, the two girls shook their hands in agreement.
*confessionals*
Michael: The girls are probably working together to get me voted off, but I didn't get this far just to lose now. Whatever they're planning, I won't fall for it!
Corlissa: I need to win this challenge! If I don't Astrid at least needs to, it wouldn't make much sense to actually vote for an elimination so Chris will probably have the winner pick who goes with them to the finale.
Astrid: I'm going to the finale no matter what, and honestly, I don't mind who I have to face. Corlissa is a solid competitor and a good friend, but I know she won't go easy on me. Michael would be a good challenge, but I'm definitely not going to let some guy beat me!
*end confessionals*
The 3 campers met up with Chris on the same cliffs as the first challenge. There were 3 platforms leaning off of the edge of the cliff, the platforms were held in place by some sort of machine. The interns were also there, each of them held a stack of papers.
"Glad you three could make it. I'll cut to the chase, you'll stand on the 3 platforms and be asked various trivia questions, if you get a question correct, nothing happens. But if you get a question wrong, the platform will get shorter. The first one to lose their footing and fall into the water below is eliminated and the last 2 standing move on to the finale!" Chris explained.
"So you're trying to kill us again?" Corlissa hissed.
"Don't worry, the Boat of Losers is waiting below and it has enough pillows and mattresses to cushion your fall." Chris replied, the others still seemed unsure. They stepped onto the three platforms, trying not to look down at the water below. They turned to face Chris and the interns, the latter each had a large list of quiz questions that would last all day.
"First question: who won the Wheel of Food challenge?"
"Tamara did!" Astrid chimed, a bell chime was heard, indicating that her answer was correct.
"Next question!" Chris announced. "Who won Chef's Boot Camp challenge?"
"Dutch won, didn't he?" Michael answered, the bell chimed again.
The questions continued coming, nobody was giving up. The game continued until the sun was high above the island.
"How many tokens did Ben bring back at the end of the second challenge?" Briar asked.
"It was two wasn't it?" Michael answered, a buzzer sound blared, indicating Michael's answer was wrong, his platform became shorter by about 2 inches.
"That's wrong, anyone else want to answer that question?"
"He only brought back one." Corlissa stated, the bell chime was heard. Astrid gave Corlissa a thumbs up.
"Ok, next question: what was Hayden afraid of?" Johan asked the three. It took them a while, but Astrid finally answered.
"Oh, he was afraid of clowns!"
The questions continued, Chris had long since left the interns to ask the questions. As for the interns themselves, the decided that they would take turns staying in at their cabin and staying with the Final 3. At this point Ciana and Sapphire were helping with the challenge. The others were taking a break.
"They're really focused on this aren't they!" Mike noted.
"Yeah, they really want to win." Nikki replied.
"I can't blame them, they really close to that $100,000. If that was me answering those questions, I wouldn't want to lose either!" Johan added.
"Hey Briar, you've been trying to show Dutch something for a while now. What is it?" Mike asked.
"Well you see, I found this note that was addressed to everyone regarding Charlotte. I was hoping to show it to Dutch because he might take a big interest into it. Why don't you read it for yourself." Briar explained, she took out the letter from her pocket and handed it to Nikki, Mike and Johan leaned in to read it as well. The three interns looked surprised when they finished reading it, Nikki even gasped in excitement.
About an hour and a half later, Nikki and Johan went to go tend to the final 3. At the same time, Sapphire and Ciana returned from their shift.
"Hey girls, how are they holding up?" Briar asked.
"They've all gotten a few questions wrong, but Astrid is in the lead right now. Michael and Corlissa are neck and neck. At this rate one of them will probably go down by dark." Sapphire explained.
"You have to admire their fortitude." Briar noted.
"Who do you think will make it to the finale?" Mike asked.
"They've all fought long and hard to get this far, they all deserve to make it to the finale in my opinion."
"That's true, but I honestly think the ones who'll make it to the finale are Michael and Astrid. I don't hate Corlissa, but I'm kind of confused how she got this far." Sapphire added.
"I don't care honestly, if it was me in their place I would have won by now!" Ciana boasted.

Mike: You know I really admire Ciana's self confidence. Kinda wish I was as confident as her.
*end confessional*
The hours continued to pass, Chris returned to see how the finalists were doing. The platforms that the final 3 had to stand on were about 7 ft. In their full length and whenever a question was answered wrong, the platform would retract 1 ft. Right now however, Astrid was down to about 4 ft. of her platform left, Michael and Astrid both had only way ft. left. (For the readers who use meters instead of feet, I don't know what 7 feet converted into yards is. Sorry)
"What is with you guys? Come on, go down already!" Chris taunted. The finalists Gabe him a nasty glare.
"Ok, next question." Johan announced. "What was my challenge back in the maze in the beginning of the season?"
"Oh, I know it was- wait... no... um... Pass?" Astrid stuttered, she had a sheepish smile on her face. The buzzer sounded and her platform retraced double the usual amount.
"You cannot pass a question, doing so will cause an additional penalty, and from the looks of it, none of you can afford losing the amount of ground you have left!" Chris teased.
"Psst!" Astrid whispered, Corlissa turned to face her (thankfully they were next to each other so Michael didn't hear them).
"We can't target Michael this way, all we can do now is hope he doesn't answer his questions correctly!" Astrid said.
"I don't think that might be a problem, he's been getting the most problems wrong, at this rate he'll be gone before we know it!" Corlissa replied.

Michael: I know the girls are planning to get rid of me. Honestly I can't blame them, I'm a threat to them and they're trying to win. But they're fools if they think I'll go down without a fight!
*end confessional*
"What was challenge #7?" Nikki questioned the group.
"It was the trip to Boney Island!" Michael answered.
"What 2 couples were established during the cooking challenge?" Johan asked.
"One was Tamara and Hayden... that jerk. But what was the other one?" Astrid answered.
"It was me and Damion..." Corlissa said sadly.
The others gave her a sympathetic look.
"Which of the interns is a musician?"
"Um... I'm guessing it's Ciana?" Astrid answered, Johan face palmed as Astrid's platform retracted and the buzzer was heard again.

Astrid: What?! The pressure was getting to me, the same would happen to you if you were hanging off of a cliff!
*end confessional*
"Who were the 5 guests we had on the show?" Johan asked.
"The twins: Amy and Samey, Dawn and Ella, and I think the last one was Bella and Derek's mom." Michael answered, he crossed his fingers and held his breath in fear of getting the question wrong. Though his tension quickly ceased when he heard the ring if the bell.
Another half hour passed, eventually the three contestants had only 1 foot of their platforms left, if anyone got one more question wrong, the would fall and be eliminated...
"Alright, now that we're almost done with the challenge, let's mix it up a little bit! This time I'll go back to asking the questions. So interns, you're done!" Chris announced.
"Finally." Nikki said with relief. She and her boyfriend went back to their cabin.
"Now I'm not sure if you three have noticed, but the questions have been asked and any one of you could have answered the question. But this time I'll be asking one of you a question and only that person can answer!" Chris explained. "Let's start with Michael, who brought back the cursed item from Boney Island?"
Michael sighed in defeat before answering his question. "It was Kristen..."
The girls gave him a sympathetic look before Chris snapped them out of it.
"Astrid, what animal did Viola have to catch for the animal hunting challenge?"
"It was a bear wasn't it?" Astrid answered, the bell chimed again.
"Corlissa, what was the last food Ruby had to eat in the wheel of food challenge?"
"Oh, it was chocolate!" She answered without hesitation.
"Michael, who was the last person dug up for the Bass in the buried alive challenge?"
"I think it was Michiko..." Michael answered with a hint of doubt. Just like before, this doubt went away when he found out he was correct.
"Corlissa! Who was the fourth contest to arrive on the island?"
"Crap..." Corlissa cursed to herself, she didn't know the answer. All she could do now... was take a guess.
"I think it was Ruby?" She answered. Everything was silent until the buzzer rang and Corlissa's platform retracted right below her feet like a trapdoor. She screamed as she feel, thankfully the boat that was still there cushioned her fall with all the pillows and mattresses. From inside the boat, Chef was fast asleep, though when Corlissa landed on the boat he sprang up. He turned on the engine and took Corlissa to the Playa de Losers. From the top of the cliffs, Michael and Astrid's platforms went back to their original positions, allowing the two to walk back into solid ground. The looked to see Corlissa waving goodbye to them from the Boat of Losers down below. They waved back at her.
"And with that we have our two finalists! Who will take home the grand prize? Find out on the epic conclusion of Total Drama Island!"

Michael: I barely made it through that one! Now I just need to beat Astrid... Facing her is going to be the toughest challenge of all...
Astrid: It sucks that Corlissa lost, but I made it to the finale and I need to win!

And then there were 2! Corlissa as a character received very mixed reception, some people liked her and some didn't. Though I suppose you can't like everybody. I liked Corlissa though, anyway, the next chapter is the finale! Who will bring home the gold? Who are you rooting for? Michael or Astrid?
