One of the servants of Ashkevron manor, came in to sweep out the fireplace. She stopped as she saw the babe on the hearth,

"Lord of Light," she breathed as she approached the babe. "Where you come from child you don't belong to none in this house"

the babe just continued to fuss, as the servant rocked the infant in her arms, as she turned and walked out of the room to head to where the Lady of the house was located at.

The servant knocked on the door to the lady's chambers, and slipped inside "Begging your pardon, my Lady. But I found this babe on the hearth, I know not to whom he belongs."

"Well let me see this child" as she held the child he slowly calmed a smile formed on the lady's face "My you are a lovely child." she continue to rock him as he fell asleep once more, the Lady dismissed the servant and thought about what to do with the child. She decided that she needed to speak with her Lord husband before completely deciding on what she should do.

She thought about what she would say to her husband, "My dear, this child was found on the hearth, this morning. What do you think we shall do with him?"

As she walked though the manor looking for her husband the small child looked at her with a smile and cooed out the word mama. the lady froze for a moment then hurried faster to find her husband.

as she found him in the study she came near him with the child and explained to him what happened this morning the lord looked at the child.

The current lord stared at the child, a mop of raven black hair adored and green eyes the same shade as the leaves in summer, "He stays with us, the gods have said as much."

The felt a joy rise up in her chest from her lord's word "If we are to raise him what shall be his name."

A voice barely whispered in the lord of the manor's ear, "Harry."

"His name will be Harry."

"Harry a fitting name for him my Lord and today shall be his naming day. We must present him to the court." She murmured as she swept the hair away from the baby's eyes.

The baby wriggled in her arms giving a happy giggle reaching for her hand as it moved by his face.

The Lord of the manor sighed as his Lady did not quite remember that a noble presented to the court meant being old enough to become a suitor for those of noble rank.

"My lord we must get a healer to see him the child is bleeding." She cried out

The lord called out for one of his servants "Yes My lord Jehan how may i be of service." the young maid asked.

"Call for a healer." Sir Jehan ordered.

"Yes my lord." She quickly curtsy and left the room, a short time later she returned with a healer looking as he just woke up "My lord Jehan what can i do for you this night."

Jehan motioned to his Lady, who was holding the babe. "The Gods have graced us with another child, but we do not know much about his health..."

The Healer took the babe and sat down in the chair that the Lord offered him, and went into a light trance. Sometime later the healer left the trance "My lord, the child seem to be in good health but he may need glasses in the future."

Jehan nodded his head in thanks and turned to his wife with a small smile on his face "Well wife think you're ready to do this one more time and raise a child."

"Yes, the manor needs the sound of little feet again," His wife replied

They both moved to the nursery with a crib ready and placed Harry and wrapped him in a blanket.

As the years passed, Harry Ashkevron grew into a respectable and at times, mischievous boy. As such, the boy was up in the hayloft, with his laying in the sweet smelling hay, reading a tale.

"Master Harry, where are you, your mother is looking for you, it's time for your lessons." one of the maids called out looking in the stable for him.

Harry ducked into the loft; he did not like his lessons. What boy at the age of ten did? He wanted adventure, he knew about caring for horses, but he witnessed one thing that he was extremely jealous of the person. A Companion had come into the village, while he was on an error for his father, and witnessed a Choosing.

"Master Harry, I know you're up there please young sir don't make me climb up there." the maid pleaded. As harry buried himself further in to the hay he wished he could be a Herald and travel the land as if he saw many times before.

Harry groaned and put the piece of twine that he found to use as a bookmark, and rolled over to the ladder that led down from the loft, "Fine." He adjusted his wire-framed glasses.

"Thank you young master your mother is waiting in the study i suggest you clean yourself off before you see her."

Harry nodded and the maid knew that was his way of dismissing her, Harry walked slowly into the manor and up to his room, and washed his face and changed his clothing before going to the study.

"Harry, I'm glad you're here your teacher has been waiting for a while now please you need to learn all this is your to be at court." His mother gently scolded him.

Harry bit back the words he wanted to say, he knew he would not stand a chance in the Queen's court.

Throughout his lessons, his mind was not on the teacher, but the he just could not focus.

He saw his teacher, she was an older woman that was around before the Queen was crowned but she was quick to put harry in his place should he act up.

A faint sound caught Harry's ears, as his teacher was droning on about some custom or another.

As he quickly looked out the window, his eyes widen at what he saw a Companion was outside the window and she was looking right at him.

Harry stood up and ran out of the study, down the stairs and out to where the Companion was waiting. The majestic white creature was waiting looking proud but with purpose for being at the manor.

Harry and the Companion locked eyes, emerald eyes meets sapphire blue.

: I am Morgan, and I choose you: the Companion spoke.
