Harry spent the rest if the day in his loft sorting everything out in his own mind.
Then decided it did not matter at all for the time being, maybe someday he would have more answers, but right now, he would survive his training and become a Full Herald.
Morgan backed up to the stall wall, and lifted one hoof and kicked the wall. :Harry, are you planning to spend the night up there:
"Have more surprises, like you kicking down the loft?" Harry answered, "You nearly scared me to death."
:You've been up there all day and your parents are getting worried. :
Harry rolled his eyes, but the urge to get up and do something was driving him insane, so he rolled over and climbed down the ladder.
Morgan made her way over to Harry and gave a soft nuzzle to his side.
:At least, I have you in all this madness.: Harry replied as he reached up to scratch behind Morgan's ears, in the special spot that it seemed that only his fingers could find.
:Mmm right there and of course you have me you couldn't get rid of me if you tried.:
Harry chuckled and stopped scratching before going back into the manor house, which to him, wasn't giving off the home-feeling anymore, or it was more of the home of his childhood and precious memories.
"Harry, are you alright, son, I was worried about you." Angelina spoke softly.
"You'll always be worried about me." Harry replied "But I'm not a child to be looked over every second of the day."
"You're right." She nodded
Midwinter feast started out as every year, only this year, Harry's little cousins were taking more time to pay attention to the Heraldic Trainee than normal, most of the others wanted to know if Harry's Companion would give them rides, which Morgan did, bless her heart as a her own midwinter gifting as it were. Normally, Companions did not consent to bare anyone but their Chosen.
The children enjoyed themselves and Harry was glad to see his family but his mind was distracted as well.
At the feast itself, Harry sat with the adults unlike any other midwinter that he could recall he sat with the children.
Harry enjoyed the meal but he seemed to go through the motions smiling and not really enjoying the company.
:Seems, you're starting to feel homesick for the Collegium.: Morgan commented as she was enjoying her own midwinter feast that one of the servants had brought out for her.
Harry gave a heavy sigh, :You're right, I guess I really did out grew this place.:
:You didn't really outgrow your first home, you just found a different type of family.: Morgan reasons, :Besides we got another day before we need to leave to go back to the Collegium.:
:Yeah, you're right. Let's enjoy it, I got the feeling when we get back there's gonna be a big a surprise waiting for us.: Harry replied
Another day passed, Harry refused to bring along most of the gifts that his parents had given him; they would send was strictly needed to the Collegium when the next bard came through.
Harry enjoyed the ride back to haven and his friends at school.
Corina tended to avoid eye contact with him, as if she was embarrassed by something.
Corina spent her time in classes fingering the pendant that Harry gave her for mid-winter.
The others of their year-group noticed that they were avoiding each other and decided that they should do something about it.
After dinner, Bryan, Stephen had cornered Harry in the bathing room. While one held Harry's bathrobe and towel away from him.
"What are you two doing? I don't have time for your pranks, I need to study." Harry asks.
"Well its noticeable that you and lovely Corina, have been avoiding each other lately." Stephen replies, sharing a good-humored look with his year-mate.
"We want to know why." Bryan replies, "And I know my sister is doing the same thing to Corina."
"It's nothing okay really can you just give me my stuff back." Harry states
"The term 'nothing' wouldn't have you acting like scared sparrows around each other." Stephen replies, "So you have two choices, First is to tell us or Second, is risk getting caught naked on the run to your room."
Harry thought about it for a minute hating the fact that his room was so far down the hall. The more he thought about it the more he knew his luck wasn't that good. With a heavy sigh of defeat, "Fine, I'll talk but not here okay please."
"Why not here? Afraid someone might overhear?" Bryan asks
:Only ones you have to worry about overhearing is us, Companions. But we don't share secrets that are confided in us, unless its needed to be known.: Morgan states, unexpectedly
:Morgan, you're not helping right now I'm trying not to talk about it: Harry replied
:You should by now that you can trust your year-mates with issues, you do not know about. Otherwise it will eat you alive.: Morgan advised
"Fine, if you guys want to be so nosy, I don't know what happened at Rina's home; but for the most part I was teased by my parents about me being infatuated with her and now well you see." Harry explained
Bryan's eyes went unfocused the normal sign of someone mindspeaking, before a slow grin graced his lips.
"Why is it that when you smile like that I get worried." Harry told him.
Bryan shook his head, "Just give it, time. If what we think is true, it will happen when it does." He tossed the bathrobe to Harry.
"Like that's suppose to make me feel better. " he grumbled to himself.
:They just mean, they aren't going to torment you about something just let, unless you don't acknowledge at a later date.: Morgan explained
:You're no better Morgan you're as cryptic as an Oracle. :
:I have to be, for right now. Seeing as you're still young.: Morgan replies
:whatever, hay burner, I'm off to bed night.:
