A few more years have passed, Harry's friends the gryphons have shown up when they felt like it, but other than that, they have traveled to k'Leshya to see if there for any other young unmated gryphons that took their fancy.
One day spring day, Harry and the others of his year group were unaware that they were going up for evaluation to be passed into interning Herald status.
That afternoon, Harry heard a knock on his door, as he was in his room. Harry answered thinking it was one of his friends.
There stood two Heralds were larges smiles on their faces; it was Kris and Jerome.
"Heyla Kris , Jerome what's going on guys." Harry asks
"Nothing, much Harry." Kris replies, before both senior Heralds took Harry by the shoulders and dragged him out of his student dorm.
"What in the .. where were going?" Harry asked utterly confused
"To the Seneschal's office to get your new room." Kris answers
"New room what's?" Harry asked and then closed his mouth as he put the pieces together.
"Kris and I volunteered to give you the good news." Jerome states
"You volunteer? You noticed that I was heading toward the boys' side of the student dorms, and nearly ran me over to find out if Harry passed evaluation." Kris mock growled at his friend.
"You're mad the both of you." Harry laughed at two of his oldest friends as he walked to the office.
"So are you!" Jerome crowed, but grew serious as he thought of his recent circuit, "But then again, all of us are mad to take on the job of Herald, we have peaceful relations with all the nations, except the Eastern Empire."
"True we're all mad but let's be realistic if we don't do it no one else will." Kris added.
Harry nods.
It didn't take long for Harry to get his new room assignment, and then before his next breath, he was staring at himself, in his new white uniform in the mirror.
"Why don't the Grays looked this good." Harry asked as he tugged the tunic in place.
Jerome sat on the couch in the other room, "Because you wouldn't have your mind on your studies. Same reason, we aren't sharing space with the girls either."
:Don't stare to long you might get stuck there.: Harry heard Morgan say.
: Oh, like you haven't found a found a reflective surface to stare at yourself after you been groomed.: Harry replied
:I am not that vain, I just check to see if you missed a spot that's all: Morgan replied in good humor.
Harry didn't respond but exited his new bedroom, he chosen a ground floor room.
"At least this room doesn't give you a workout." Kris commented
"True and the view is pretty good here as well." Jerome added as well.
"Not what I meant, You haven't been up to Dirk's and Talia's room." Kris disagreed, he looked away, "but my name does bring back memories good and bad to them."
"No, I haven't." Jerome said
"They live in one of the towers." Harry supplied
"How do you know where Talia's room is?" Kris asks
"Corina's an empath." Harry answered
Once Corina's gift became strong enough, she felt Harry's feelings for her. So she is the one, who turned their very close friendship into a real relationship and brought their lifebonding into the sunlight.
