Corina knocked on Harry's new suit of rooms' door, in Herald's Wing. Before rolling her eyes, she let herself in, "Honestly, when is he going to learn bolts work best when they are locked."
"Hey!" Harry exclaimed as he heard the door opening,
"You passed into Herald status, and you still don't know how to lock your door." Corina sighed as she flung herself onto the couch, "Anyone could knife you in the back."
"That's not true Morgan would have warned me." Harry argued back
:Me warn you from Companion's Field? Oh, there is a bird nest in the tree. Doesn't help you any does it. Just because We companions can go into the palace, doesn't mean we choose too.: Morgan replied
"Well I still haven't had time to set any thing up yet." Harry replied to both Corina and Morgan.
:You don't have to set up the bolt, they're already in the door.: Morgan pointed out. :I'm never going to survive your Internship.:
:Fine Morgan, I'll remember to lock up and don't worry we'll survive. : Harry replied, "where's your room at?"
The Companion's presence faded to the back of Harry's mind.
"So have you found out who you're interning under?" Corina asks, "Kyril only told me, that the Herald, I'm interning with is still out in the Field." Corina smiled, "One of the towers. My Gift isn't as strong as Talia's but I don't want my sleep interrupted by nightly activities of our fellow Heralds."
"I haven't a clue either I don't even know if mine is here or in the field. " Harry answered, "Oh not even, if it's me, that's interrupting?"
"Who are you sleeping with beside me, that is?" Corina asks, "Because I'm sure no one touches you, it's not a secret we're Lifebonded."
"You know you're the only one for me I was trying to be seductive with you." Harry wrapped his arms around Corina's waist and pulled her in to him.
"Trying to fool an Empath? Not a good idea, Love." Corina sighed; she unshielded enough to pull Harry into her rapport.
"No, you know I would never lie to you Rina even if we're not bonded." Harry leans in and gives a kiss on her neck.
A knock on the door sounded causing the two Heralds to pull apart with a groan. Harry went and opened the door, and found a Page there with a note in hand. Harry read the note and then passed it to Rina then grabbed his shirt.
"Kyril needs to see you." Corina states,
"Oh Milady Herald, Herald Talia wanted me to tell you to see her as soon as possible." The Page states before waiting for a dismissal.
"Thank you." Corina states and the Page left.
Harry looked up. "Yeah I think the Herald I'm interning with.
Corina shook her head, "Kyril is a Herald but he doesn't ride circuits, Herald Kyril is the Seneschal's Herald."
"I know I'm thinking that the Herald is there." Harry replies
"I doubt it." Corina replied, she knew what the Seneschal's Herald wanted Harry for and she wasn't allowed to tell about it.
Harry finished getting dress and gave a kiss to Corina "I'll be back, meet you by our spot later; love?"
"No thanks." Corina states, "I have an appointment with the Healers."
"Rina why do you need to go to the healers is something wrong?" His voice filled with concern.
Corina blinked then she started laughing, after a few seconds, she got her control back, "Harry, I'm a mind-healer, who just happens to be a Herald, so I am drawn to those in need, so I work with Talia in the House of Healing, we give back the emotional energy it takes from healing." She tugged her tunic back in place, "but Talia doesn't have the time, since she is Queen's Own, so I have been doing most of the rounds with Healer Deven."
"Don't scare me like that I got worried so how about if we both don't get sent out tomorrow we have a nice dinner in town."
"Harry, I can't. In addition, you cannot. You seem to be forgetting that we're going on Internship." Corina states. "So stop thinking like you're not a Herald." She left the room.
Harry left a few seconds after her and ran into Dirk on the way to Kyril's office.
"Empath troubles?" Dirk asks as he seen the expression on the former Trainee's face.
"Some but nothing to big yet." Harry answers
"You might be wearing Whites but you're still a teenage boy, so you're thinking with other parts other than your mind." Dirk states, "As with Empaths, they are called away to help others but they make up for it."
"Your right Herald Dirk but I just enjoy spending time with her but we do need to through our internship before we go further." Harry states
"And its Dirk, you're not my student." Dirk requests, "You better treat Corina right, or I'll unleash Kero and Elspeth on you."
Harry went on his way to Kyril's office. Where the senior Herald greeted him with a wave of his hand.
"You wanted to see me Herald Kyril? " he asked as he walked in.
Kyril began his normal speech to an interning Herald, "You must know that there are some things, which you would learn once you earned your whites. Do you know why Heralds are required to learn archery? Even Herald Mages."
"To help us focus, I thought." Harry answers
"No, the excuse to carry arrows." Kyril replied and then told Harry about the Arrow Code. He taught Harry how to pattern the fletching in the new Herald-Mage's code, even in the dark.
By the time, Kyril called a halt to Harry's drilling of the arrow code, the elder Herald looked even older, then he was. "I never want to see another Black ringed arrow again." with a clear dismissal along with telling Harry that his counselor would meet him in the Companion stable two days from now.
Harry made his way back to his room.
