I just read the reviews for this story, and I have to say, I'm overwhelmed…. Like aww! Anyways, ladies and gentlemen, I give you….
Chapter 2!
Len's POV
"Prom?," I asked as I turned my head to look at my girlfriend, Miku "Isn't it a little early to talk about that?"
She just shook her head and said "It's never too early to talk about prom, plus, I have plans for us to join the Yamaha's Kings and Queens Competition. If we join, we would surely win!" just from the way she talked, you could easily tell she was excited for this.
"I don't know, proms pageants aren't really my thing." I sheepishly told her while rubbing the back of my neck, earning me one of her signature Miku pouts.
The one that gets you every time.
"Please Lenny! Please! It would make me a very happy girl." She pleaded, doing everything she could do to convince me. Slapping my arm, punching my arm, cuddling my arm, cradling my arm, basically anything that has something to do with my arm.
Fearing that it might come off, I sighed and gave in "Fine, I'll do it."
"Yay!" she squealed in joy and proceeded to twirl herself while holding my hand. "Now let's get to class! Kiyoteru gave me a good scolding yesterday when the girls and I arrived late. I swear that midlife loser can't wait a second."
The two of us walked hand in hand to our classroom and saw everyone busy fussing around.
"What's going on?" I asked Miku who was looking at the scene with an utterly bored look on her face.
She rolled her eyes and yawned before saying "Their probably talking about Miki," she probably sensed my confusion as she continued, "She's just some chick from Class 3-C who committed suicide yesterday, I heard it was because her boyfriend broke up with her or something. Pathetic reason, really."
I had to agree with her on that one.
I took a seat on my regular chair, playing games on my phone to pass time. Rin hasn't arrived yet (she's always late to class), so there was nobody to mess with and I was in no mood to talk to anyone.
I was about to reach 21,320 in 2048 before I received a call from an unknown number. I looked around to see if one of my classmates were calling me (stupid, I know), seeing nobody was, I went out and answered the call.
"Hello?"
"Hi Len." A very familiar voice responded from the other line.
A smirk formed on my lips as I heard it.
"Rei, it's been a long time."
Rin's POV
"Bye, I'm going to school!"
I hopped on my bike and cycled my way to school. Checking my watch, I realized that I only had three minutes left before the bell would ring. Damn.
It's not like I had problems in waking up, I just intentionally go to school late just so I could skip any early morning beatings.
By the time I arrived, I felt like my legs were going to fall off. I parked my bike and headed to my classroom.
Kiyoteru-sama scolded me for being late, much to the pleasure of my classmates, and then told me to take my seat.
Class was like usual until a member of the student council entered our classroom to make some major announcement.
"Good morning everyone." The guy greeted with a smile. "I, Piko, am here to announce some major news for you, I'm sure you've all heard of what happened to Miki from Class 3-C."
The class went dead silent.
"Well," he did a fake cough to cover up the awkwardness "It's not yet sure what the cause of her… actions was but whatever it is, the rest of the council and I are trying to find out. To anyone here who has an idea, please don't hesitate to tell us."
"What are you talking about? It's obvious that she did that because her boyfriend broke up with her. I talked with her a couple of times and I know how much of an over-emotional chick that girl could be." Mike spoke out, earning a surprise from all of us.
And it could've been just me, but I noticed Piko's face faltering a bit.
"W-well, as I said, we are still trying to find out and we should not jump to conclusions," he said before awkwardly continuing "but that's quite a guess."
"Anyways, that would be all. Thank you." And with that, he left the room.
By the time we heard the door shut, everyone in the classroom started talking again. Probably about Miki.
I, myself, have my own guess: She could have been bullied.
This is the type of school that would really make one question life, so it's not much of a surprise if that was the reason.
For some reason, this thought seemed to keep lingering inside her mind for the entire day.
