DarkPriestess66: The chapter everyone has been waiting for, when Harry returns to his birth world, only a few exceptions, Harry is not a "wizard" as defined by the wizarding world, he is a Herald-Mage, he can access nodes or ley-lines that runs under Hogwarts. That normal wizards can't access.
It had been two weeks, since Harry had returned from his Internship, and was granted full herald status. He had not received his new assignment by himself, so he was volunteering at the Mage's Collegium.
He had taken the time to get his room back in order, as his and Corina's uniforms were scattered all over the floor, of course, he and his life-partner had sat down and discussed their relationship and with a long suffering sigh, he had given up his room and moved into Corina's room in one of the towers.
:Chosen, I dislike bothering you while you are doing domestic chores. However, I need your physical attention.: Morgan voice startled him as she was uneasy about something.
Harry hurried down to the field to find out what is wrong with Morgan.
Morgan waited on the bridge that kept Companion's Field separate from the palace and Collegium complex. Her coat was quivering, the only sign that she was deeply unsure about why the Grove-Born stallion had asked her to bring her Chosen to the Grove.
: I'm here now, what's wrong? You look like you seen a demon wolf or something?: Harry sent as he came closer to Morgan.
Morgan moved into position for her Chosen to mount. : I don't know, and that is what troubles me, I have been ordered to bring you to the Grove.:
Harry faltered as he began to mount. : The grove, why am I needed there of all places? :
Morgan swung her head to the side to look at her Chosen. : I have already answered that question.:
:I know I'm just shocked that's all and worried this can't be a good thing.: Harry replied as he swung up on Morgan's bare back.
The Companion moved off into a canter in the direction of the grove. Once they entered the grove, the Herald and Companion were shocked as four other Companions were waiting for them.
Harry looked around wondering what was going on. "What's happening here why was I asked to be brought here?"
:Chosen, show some respect, That's the Grove-Born Rolan, also with him are Caryo and Jasan.: Morgan
: It is all right: a masculine voice sounded in Harry's mind that rang with otherworldly power.
Harry paled and nodded in respect. "I'm sorry I meant no disrespect."
Rolan stepped forward until he could be seen clearly. :I too must apologize for summoning you, do not be alarmed, I am not Choosing you. Merely acting as a messenger.:
Harry was confused as was Morgan, who stared confused at Rolan.
: I am given to understand you are confused to your birth parentage?: Rolan questions
"Yes, I always wondered about that but I just don't worry about it till after I became a full Herald." Harry answered
:You are a Full Herald.: Morgan commented
Rolan heaved a sigh, :I know some of the answers, you are from another world.:
Harry's jaw fell open in shock. "Another world, how lord of lights why?"
:The how, I can answer as to the why, I was not given that answer. How you got here was the Lord of Light brought you here.: Rolan answered
Harry felt his legs give out and he flopped down on the ground, he had to take a few deep breaths to keep from passing out.
Morgan was rock steady, and lowered her head to touch her Chosen's shoulder in suppose.
Harry reached over and ran his hand over Morgan's snout trying to calm him down and restart his brain.
:The reason, you are finding out now, is that you needed the training here to help you deal with those who would seek to use you in this other world.: Rolan explained, he nervously flicked his tail. :Now, I can tell the Lord, he can leave you be and you can go about as you were other day or you can chose to go to this other world, because they need the help of a Herald-Mage rather badly.:
"Well I need to know more but if they need help, how can I refuse?" Harry responds
:Yes, now you know that part, I wanted Caryo and Jasan here as their Chosen are your Queen and Prince-Consort.: Rolan states
The third Companion stallion huffed and pawed the ground.
Rolan looked over at the other stallion. :Of course, Dasher. Because I would horrible not include your life-partner, Chosen of Morgan.:
Harry readied himself for whatever Rolan had to say next, "Okay, so how am I supposed to get to this other world and what is it I need to do there?"
:Meet me at the Death bell tower at dawn.: Rolan states, :That way, you have time to pack this will an extended circuit of a sort. You need not bring provisions, I believe where you will end up will provide food other that I do not know.:
Harry stood and bowed to Rolan "I'll meet you there at dawn thank you for everything. "
Rolan whickered which sounded like a human chuckle. :None of the bowing, I am a servant, nothing more.: he then looked at Morgan for a few seconds without Harry knowing what was being said.
Morgan dipped her head in respect.
Harry and Morgan left the grove and made their way back to the edge of the companion's field.
:Well, you got a few questions answered and thousand more in their place, Chosen.: Morgan commented.
Harry nodded and went to his room. As he entered his room, he found Corina waiting for him.
"If you think you're going off to some strange world without me, you have holes in your head." Corina states as she sat on the couch in the other room.
"Like I would do that such a thing, I was going to tell you to pack up and get ready for a long circuit." Harry replied
"I know, Dasher was giving me the news." Corina replies, "and having an empath with you might not be such a bad thing."
"Just as I was thinking plus I want you there with me anyway." He reached over and gave her a hug and a deep kiss.
Corina unshielded herself just a little to allow her lifemate to share what she was feeling.
"Did I tell you how much I love you lately." Harry said as he broke the kiss.
"Not really, but I can feel it." Corina answers, "I'll go down to the guard station, and get two tents, seeing as we're treating this as a circuit."
"Of course and anything else you can think of and I'll start packing our things." Harry replies
"Grooming supplies for the four-feets, I think they can survive on grazing, and we can give up some of our food if we have vegetables, bedrolls, clothes, and our weapons. That way, we're not relying solely on Gifts alone." Corina answers "You spent an internship out in the Field, You should know by now field Heralds are ready to go at a moment's notice."
"Yes, I know and I do have my pack ready just want to add a few things as well." Harry replies
"Not too much, cause Dasher and Morgan are carrying us and our packs." Corina responds she then left their room, to get the tents from the guard supply.
Meanwhile, in a castle, named Hogwarts sat an elderly wizard who was vastly worried and confused at the same thing; his Boy-Who-Lived had not arrived at Hogwarts when he was supposed to.
Dumbledore was beginning to panic as the years passed he could not keep the lies for too much longer. The fire in his office crackled.
"You won't find him." stated a voice from seemingly out of nowhere.
Dumbledore's hand jumped to his wand as he looked around to find the source of the strange voice.
Out of the ray of sunlight on the floor appeared a small child, who had flame red hair and bright blue eyes. He was wearing red orange tunic and trews.
"Who are you and how did you get in here." The old wizard demanded.
"I go by many names, but you can call me Kantis." The child answers as he grinned, "Like I said you won't find him."
Dumbledore looked the child over he knew that he was not one of his students and he felt the power flowing of him. "Then where is he surely you know where he is?"
"Of course, I know where he is. I'm the one who took him." Kantis answers. His child-like eyes grew serious, "He will not be used by you, and He has a greater destiny ahead of him as defined by me."
"What do you mean he's going to save our world what greater Destiny is there and I shall be the one to lead him?" Dumbledore questions
"Blah, mortals." Kantis states as he shifted forms between adult and child. "You all think you're superior, I have news for you, you do not control fate; I do."
Dumbledore took a deep breath and sat down once more. "By Merlin's beard just exactly what or who are you?"
"When you figure it out, I will be merely surprised, the child of my protection will return here and will go back to where I placed him, and if you interfere, I am not sure of your fate when you meet me at my throne." Kantis states as he went and disappeared in a shaft of sunlight.
Dumbledore shook his head and looked around the office thinking he's been working to hard.
Back in Valdemar, the first rays of sunlight was just rising. Two Heralds woke early, gathered their packs, and met their Companions.
They mounted and made their way to the death bell tower, when they got there they found Rolan waiting from them as the base of the tower.
The archway that was the remains of the chapel glowed with power before showing a hall of sorts, with children ranging in ages.
Harry saw this and shook his head it was like that dream he had a few years back.
The Companions moved forward into the Gate.
