Day 3 of Harry's fasting ritual, now, that Corina's head was working again, she returned to the hospital wing to finish what she had started. With the woman named Alice, it was harder because once she fed the flicking life-spark enough energy and bought her back to herself, there was many more layers of guilt, pain, fear, and most of all was the disappointment of a mother's failing to be there for her child.

Corina's eyelids flew open, she blinked and stared around confused for a few seconds.

"What happened did something go wrong?" Pomfrey asked.

Corina released her physical connection to Alice by taking her fingers off the woman's forehead. The Herald stood up and began pacing the room, thinking of a safe way to get at the person, she needed. "Yes and no. She's not fighting me, I have given her enough emotional energy to begin her recovery, but something else is troubling her."

The Herald had given her oath not to breathe a word of this experiment, but that was difficult to keep this time. Corina stopped pacing, she had of course sworn no oath of a true Healer, so she was going on her morals, and she reached for Dasher.

:Chosen?: the Companion replied

Corina outlined her problem and sought her Companion's advice and guidance.

: Better to beg forgiveness then to get permission.: the Companion answered :I would think in this instance you need the reassurance of the son.:

Corina let out the breath; she didn't know she was holding. She was grateful that her Companion agreed with her.

Corina turned and left the hospital wing, without saying a word to Madam Pomfrey, as a trainee, Corina was often told by the Healers. Once she sought extra tutelage from them other then Talia, seeing, as the Queen's Own had to cut their lessons short when a crisis reared up. The empathic healers always told her that she needed to act on her instinct when she had an idea, it might just work.

Corina followed Neville's fear, if she were one to judge, she would have to say this boy was afraid of his own shadow, the emotional trail led her down into the dungeons, she found a door, and the scent of potions. She knocked on the door before opening it; she went up and grabbed Neville by the shoulder.

"Miss Corina, where do you think you're going with my student?" Snape demanded before they left the room.

"I will give you proper respect when I have it. As such, I need Neville's assistance with a project of mine." Corina replied before, she guided the confused teen out of the room. The Herald took Neville outside the castle all together, and headed directly for her tent.

: No one, in the tent but me.: Dasher commented

The two went into tent, which a tent used by a Herald was large enough to accommodate a Companion too.

Neville was nervous wondering why and what the Herald wanted with him of all people.

"I have been attempting something that will be of use to you, and I fear I will come under the righteous wrath of your formidable grandmother." Corina began to explain.

Neville paled "You truly are a brave person not many willingly cross my gram."

"Brave or crazy, we haven't yet determined which is right to become a Herald, but I bought you out here, since Harry has set up a shield of sorts to avoid eavesdroppers. I have been attempting to bring your parents back into their right minds." Corina explains

The young man gave a nervous chuckle "Really can you do it you're not playing a cruel joke on me."

"Heralds aren't cruel." Corina responds, "We can be ruthless in the name of the Crown, but other than that we're normal as we can get with a big white talking horse in our heads."

Neville blushed "I'm sorry but so many others have promised the same just to fail and take our money."

"I'm doing this for free, but I need you to allow me into your heart, because I need to know your emotions concerning your parents." Corina answers

Dasher gave an angry snort in Neville's direction.

"Dasher, hush it, loveling." Corina states

"O-o-o-of course whatever you need to help." Neville looked around then with a deep breath to calm his nerves "What do I have to do?"

"Nothing." Corina gently reached out with her gift of empathy, and read into Neville's emotional state, under the fear of Snape and his grandmother; she felt pride at being the son of two good aurors. Along with other emotions connected to them.

As she used her gift, she knew the young man had great love of his parents and what they had done.

Dasher looked up suddenly breaking Corina's concentration; the Herald looked at her Companion in silent question. The stallion pulled himself to stand upright. He exited the tent, causing his chosen to scramble to her feet.

: Morgan, is in trouble: Dasher informed

"Go back to class, Neville, I'll call on you later to tell you if my plan had worked." Corina ordered as she pulled herself on Dasher's back, the stallion galloped off nearly flying across the lawn.

Morgan was drinking from the lake, and trying her hardest to reach the grove-born, Rolan or Gwena, she didn't care whom. She turned and was planned to go to the green house to see if there were anything, she could nibble on with permission of course. When some of the students of the house of snakes cornered her.

The green robed blonde just smiled as he walked closer to her. "You're not so special, I bet I can ride you just like loony Lovegood."

So this little cretin thought she was a highly trained beast, Morgan snorted and moved away.

"Get back here don't think you're getting away from me." The blonde-haired person growled out.

Morgan continued to leave before she ended up shoving the little cretin.

The blonde-haired person pulls out his wand and readies to cast a spell on her.

Morgan stopped and stared at the human, she wasn't going to stand for being threatened. She reared and kicked the cretin with enough force to knock his breath out and leave a good bruise.

Two of the older Slytherins were highly embarrassed by the actions of their housemate, the house of Slytherin was regarded as being the next generation of Death Eaters, but some of them weren't like that, and two such snakes ran over as the enraged Malfoy was about to hex the Companion.

The blonde shoots up once more wheezing and trying to catch his breath" You'll pay for that you filthy beast."

The older Slytherins reached Malfoy, and grabbed him just as the stallion and his rider leapt over them to land in between Malfoy and the mare.

"Draco, just let it go you heard the two Heralds." One of the boys warns him.

"Listening and hearing are two different things." Corina's young voice rang with authority. Dasher had just told her everything.

"Let me go that beast attacked me and I will teach it a lesson." Draco shouted

"No, she was defending herself, as my fellow Herald and I told you they would do." Corina replies, "Since you seem to not understand the warning, perhaps you will understand this, would you attack visiting pure-blood at your house?"

"Of course, I would never cause the death of a noble or a blood feud." Draco answered

Morgan glared at Draco. :That is what you did. You little cretin.:

Draco jumped at the strange voice in his head "Where did that voice come from, who spoke?"

Morgan step around the stallion, : I did, you idiot.: she tossed her head, and pawed the ground.

"What how is that possible?" Draco stammered stepping back in shock.

Dasher hung his head, whickering a laugh.

"Companions can mentally speak to those who have the gift to understand them, and do you have any broken bones, No, because it was a Companion that kicked you, if it were a regular horse, you wouldn't be standing." Corina answered

Draco's face flashed with different emotions as his brained tried to understand what just happened.

Morgan stared Draco straight in the eyes. : Do not ever come near me again or else. You are so lucky, that my Chosen is not here, he would deal with you far worse than I did.:

One of the older boys stepped forward with a bow "Forgive him herald, we'll get him out of your hair don't judge us all by his action, please."

"Its not me, he needs to earn forgiveness from." Corina replied soberly.

Morgan snorted, turned and trotted away with her tail flagged.

"To tell the truth, no Companion ever forgives an insult." Corina commented before Dasher started after Morgan.

The boys just drag Draco off back towards the castle speaking softly and harshly to him.

Meanwhile, in an empty classroom, the Herald-mage's eyes flew open and he was pissed. Harry stood up and stretched briefly before exiting the room, that he had holed up inside.

As he walked down the halls, he had two things in mind. One trapping the blood path wizard and two dealing with the one who tried to hurt Morgan.

Harry entered into defense classroom that was cursed; he tranced down and began the countering magic. As he stripped away years of the curse to find the core of the spell.

The whole castle named Hogwarts began to vibrate as the counter-magic too affect. Harry slowly saw that what went in to the spell and it pissed him off even more. Harry pushed more power, drawing on the node under Hogwarts itself, to fulfill his desire to rid this curse.

What could be called an audible snap could be heard in every corner of Hogwarts.

Harry's face was white as his uniform, panting slightly he exited the room, and promptly passed out at the nearest teacher's feet.
