Author's Note: Hi guys! I'm slowly getting back to writing and trying to update these older fics. So, here's the next (sort of short) chapter! Let's see where Mordo and company go first to look for treasure! :D Oh and just in case anyone forgot, slanted words with ' ' around them (but not bold) mean a character is thinking, not speaking the words.

After driving back into the city from the beach, Mordecai handed Rigby the map, "So, where do we go, dude?"

The raccoon began fumbling with the map, trying to understand it, "Uh...Eileen? Can you help?"

Eileen smiled, scooting closer to Rigby to examine the paper, "Hmm...I think the first place we should go is," she paused, "Um..."

"What is it?" Mordecai asked.

"This is weird. Most of these places aren't actually named; they just have a riddle for the location."

"So, what's the first riddle?"

Eileen read aloud:

"'Whoever finds this map, take heed;

Solve the riddles to do your deed.

The first stop is 'round the bend;

One step closer to the end.'"

Rigby scratched his head, "Huh? What does that even mean?"

Eileen shrugged, "Well, there's some pictures too. This first one looks kinda like an...egg, I think? But...what's nearby that looks like that?"

Rigby thought for a moment. He smiled, waving his arms, "Oh, I know! It means it's gotta be that Eggscellent place! Am I right?!"

The mole was surprised, "Wow. Didn't think it'd be that obvious..."

Mordecai warned, "Don't get any ideas, Rigby."

The raccoon scoffed, "Pfft, like I'm gonna eat that many eggs again."

Mordecai groaned, "You can't eat any eggs again, idiot! You're allergic, remember?!"

"Shut up!"

In between arguments, they drove to Eggscellent. Margaret stared at the restaurant's sign, "Ya know, I've never been here before. Is it actually good?"

Rigby shrugged, "Yeah, if you can get over the weird staff."

Mordecai chimed in, "Dude, you almost got us banned from here. You're the reason they're weird."

"Oh...yeah..."

"And don't forget the metal detector, dude. You're on carry duty."

The raccoon muttered, lugging it behind himself, "Yeah, yeah, I got it."

When they stepped inside, a waiter was taking an order. He looked up from his notepad and rubbed his forehead in anger, "Oh, no, not them..."

He approached the group, faking a smile, "Hello! Welcome to Eggscellent! May I seat you? I have a table-"

Mordecai stopped him, "Uh, sir? We aren't hungry."

The raccoon clutched his stomach, "Speak for yourself..."

"We actually need some help," the bird continued, holding up the map, "See, we got this old pirate map and-"

Suddenly, the waiter backed away from them in horror, "P-P-Pirates? Did you say 'pirates'?"

The blue jay gave him a funny look, "Uh...yeah? Why?"

His voice became a whisper, "You never heard the town legend?!" He led the kids to an empty table and sat with them, "See, it all started back in the late 1600's when-"

Rigby slouched over the table, barely holding himself up, 'Ugh! Here we go with the weird magic crap again...'

After explaining the long, boring history, Mordecai gave the waiter the map. He read it, "Hmm. Yeah, I think I can help you guys out. But, what I'm about to show you is really, really secretive. You must swear to not tell anyone else."

Everyone raised their hands, but Rigby sighed, "Whatever."

"SWEAR!"

"Augh! Okay, okay! I swear, geez!"

The man took them behind the restaurant and into the kitchen, then into a small storage room. He pulled a lightbulb, which made a staircase jut out from underground. He grabbed a torch along the side, "Please follow me."

The group reached the bottom, walking down a dimly-lit hallway littered with coffins and skeletons. The waiter explained, "This restaurant was built on top of a pirate burial room. Hundreds of pirates landed here, each looking for food, shelter, and treasure. They claimed this land from the natives, killing most of them off but keeping a few as slaves. With the land being right near the ocean and all, it was working really good for them, until the remaining natives cursed the pirates with immortality when they refused to leave. And then-"

Rigby interrupted, "Wait, so they never die? How is that a bad thing?"

He corrected the raccoon, "Oh, they died in the physical sense, but their spirits live on."

"So, what? They're ghosts? That doesn't sound so scary."

"Not exactly. The spirits were trapped in the decaying, rotted bodies, similar to zombies, but that old, 'shoot-it-in-the-head' trick wouldn't do anything. Trust me, people tried and...failed. I've even heard stories of some regenerating limbs."

Mordecai spoke, "So...then how would you stop them?"

The waiter shrugged, "I dunno. But, we shouldn't have anything to worry about. No one's seen one of them for over a hundred years."

Margaret grabbed her arms, "Um, can we hurry up, please? I'm getting the chills from this place."

The man apologized, "Sorry, ma'am. We're almost to the end."

"What's down here, anyways?" Eileen asked.

"We're here," the man stopped, setting the torch in a slot by an old iron door, "Just go through that door and you'll find your answer. I've gotta get back upstairs, we've got a huge lunch rush coming in. Good luck!"

They looked back to the waiter, "Thanks!"

Rigby stared at the huge door, "Well, who wants to go first?"

"You're the one with the detector."

"So?"

Mordecai punched him, "So use it to detect stuff!"

"Ow! Alright!" Rigby raised the detector up, listening for a beeping noise. He hovered over the door.

Beep...beep...beep...

"Can you guys open the door?"

The two birds were barely able to pull the heavy door, letting Rigby walk inside. He kept scanning the room.

Beep...beep...beeeeeep!

Rigby fist-pumped, "Aw, yeah! I got something!" Everyone joined him in a corner of the small, dark room.

"Uh, what did you find?" Margaret asked.

Rigby set the detector down, digging through the spot in the ground, "Aw, what?! It's just a bunch of dust and bones!"

Mordecai came up next to him, "No, dude, look at the floor..."

Rigby picked up a glimmering piece of gold, "Huh? A part of a coin?! What a rip off!"

"No, stupid!" He snatched it from the raccoon's paw, "It's a clue!"

"Oh. What's it say?"

Mordecai squinted, "Uh...I can't read anything on it. It looks like it has the letters S and N? Hmm..." He handed Eileen the coin part, "We'll check it out later if we find more. For now, I'm gonna trust you to hold onto it, Eileen."

"Thanks, Mordecai," she smiled, putting the coin in her backpack she'd been carrying.

Margaret shivered, "So, are we done here?"

Mordecai smiled, "Yep. Let's go find the next place..."
