OMG! I cannot believe this happened! This chapter got deleted and now I have to do the freakin' thing all over again! UGH! I will only do the first part of this chapter, which was supposed to be a nightmare. The rest I will summarize over. I normally am not this lazy, but I seriously don't want to do the stupid duel all over again, so yeah. I'm really sorry. This also is not edited. I seriously apologize. This will be one time I do this kind of thing. Review please!
There was small living room with a very dark tanned carpet with black spots, coffee stains, beer stains and food stains with a couch and TV across from it. The TV had a DVD player on the top, playing Sleeping Beauty, which was what a small little five-year-old Jaylin was watching, sitting on the floor with her legs crossed. The volume was turned down very low due to fearing that the dog would wake up. Stains showed on the bottom of her pink overalls from the dirty floor she was sitting on.
Jaylin had been taken back home, by her parents, from the orphanage. She wanted to watch a movie to drown out the idea that she may not ever see her daddy again. She had faith in her heart that Daddy was looking for her right now, but wasn't sure if she'd be found or not. She watched as the Evil Fairy was telling Prince Philip that Princess Aurora was in a deep sleep, trapped in the castle. The prince tried to free himself from his chains, but was trapped.
Suddenly, Jaylin's stomach rumbled. The young girl clutched onto her stomach, looking to her left where the kitchen was located, including the snoring dog. She knew, if she woke the dog up, he'd try to eat her. She tried to ignore the hunger, but her stomach hurt so bad.
"I'm so hungry, but if I go to get food, the boogie man will wake up and try to eat me," Jaylin whispered. She paused the movie, then quietly walked into her parents bedroom. They were both on the air mattress, both having drunk themselves to sleep. Beer bottles were shown right next to the mattress. The young girl shook her father. "I'm hungry. I'm hungry." Neither parent awoke from their sleep. Jaylin looked directly at the location of the kitchen. "What should I do?" She kept staring at the kitchen, then made a decision. "Maybe if I tip-toe around the boogie man, he won't try to eat me and my stomach won't hurt so bad."
Jaylin began tip-toing from her parents' bedroom and into the kitchen. She saw the huge messy tanned dog with dark spots along its back. Its length was three inches longer than her. She snuck to the refrigerator, opening the door carefully and looking inside. There was soy sauce and catchup on the refrigerator door, and some cheese, bottles of beer, and a huge bowl of sticky rice deep inside.
Jaylin took the bowl of sticky rice, tip-toing pass the dog, using her back to carefully close the refrigerator door. Then, she quietly snuck to the table, across from the kitchen, and carefully placed the bowl of sticky rice. She then made herself a couple of rice balls, placing them on a clean paper towel.
After making the rice balls, Jaylin carefully walked to the refrigerator, using one hand to open the refrigerator, but the bowl was so big that she couldn't hold it with one hand. The bowl slipped from her tiny arm, rice poured all over the dog and the red bowl banged onto the floor right in front of it. Jaylin froze in fear as the dog opened its eyes and growled.
Jaylin instantly ran from the dog, who was running after her in all four legs. She screamed, crying fearful tears, as she made her way to the bathroom, closing it in front of the dog and locking it. She began weeping in terror as she heard the dog pouncing against the door. She slowly backed away, looking around at the light brown stained pale yellow walls, covering the bathroom. The toilet had three yellow rings inside.
"What should I do? What should I do?" Jaylin cried, weeping hot tears. "How can I get out of here and bet passed the boogie man?" The dog eventually stopped pouncing on the door and began laying and waiting for Jaylin to get out. She looked under the crack of the door, knowing the dog was waiting for her to get out. "I have to get out of here and find Daddy, but how? The door is locked and the dragon and witch are sleeping."
Jaylin sat on the toilet seat, weeping. She had to think of a plan to get out. She was waiting for the dog to be asleep again, but time passed and it was still awake. She knew she had to go passed the dog somehow. She stared at a high heel shoe next to the toilet, conjuring up a plan.
"The dragon and witch have a window. Maybe I can throw this out the window and get out of here. I will have to run as fast as I can. Though, how can I keep the dog from pouncing on me?" Jaylin asked herself. "Maybe, when I open the door, I can move that way and the dog will miss me. Alright, that's what I'll do. I'll get out, move the other way, then run as fast as I can. Then, I can throw this and run out the window. I have to do this. If I don't, then the boogie man will get me."
Jaylin took the shoe, then approached the door. She unlocked the door and slowly turned the knob. She counted inside her head, then opened the door. She moved to her right as the dog pounced inside the bathroom, missing its target. Jaylin ran as fast as she could, running to her parents' bedroom and throwing the shoe. It crashed through the window before she stepped out of the broken window, hoping she wouldn't cut herself.
Unfortunately, Jaylin ended up in the backyard, which was fenced, as she ran around as fast as she could, screaming and wailing. The dog kept chasing her, running on all four legs. Jaylin kept screaming, wailing and running at the same time before she slipped on a small pile of mud. She fell on her front just as she tried to get up and the dog bit her on her arm.
Jaylin screamed at the top of her lungs, her eyes turning from chocolate brown to gold and the dog froze where it was at. Its jaw was removed from the girl's arm and its limbs began twisting in many directions, bones cracking. Jaylin kept crying, her arm hurting as the dog's legs kept moving and bones cracking. The dog screamed and wailed in pain as this was going on.
Jaylin's father ran from the back door to the young girl yanking her by her good arm and yelled, "what did you do to the dog!?"
"My arm hurts!" Jaylin screamed.
"Let go of the dog right now, young lady!"
"I can't! I want Daddy!"
"Yugi is not your daddy! I'm your daddy! If you call that bastard Daddy one more time, I'm kicking you out of the house!"
"Daddy!"
"That's it!" Jaylin's dad shouted, yanking Jaylin's good arm and dragging the wounded girl out the door, almost throwing her. "You can cry alligator tears out here for the rest of the night!" The dad slammed the door as Jaylin got up, blood seeping from her arm.
Jaylin kept crying, though not as loudly, since the dog was gone. She was out of the house, where she wanted to be. She lied on the side of the sidewalk, blood streaming from her arm to the edge of the sidewalk, dripping onto the street. The young girl kept shedding tears and eventually passed out to sleep.
Neighbors and pedestrians, living on the streets, began stopping, noticing the young abandoned girl. One by one, they kept surrounding the young girl lying on the sidewalk. Her hair was dirty and lying across her face, which showed smudges of dirt. Her pink overalls showed some mud stains and a huge black stain on her bottom where she sat. Blood was seeping from her right arm.
One of the neighbors immediately ran to the young girl, trying to stop the bleeding. The others began talking among themselves. Finally, an elderly woman said, "I'm calling 911!" dialing on her cell phone
One person asked, "I wonder who did this?"
"I bet it was a step parent!" Another person stated.
"JAYLIN!" A worried older man, 20 years of age, who was non other than Yugi Moto, pushed passed everyone and ran to Jaylin's aid, taking the young girl from the man, who was helping stop the bleeding. "Let me have her."
"Are you a brother or friend of the family?" The man asked as Yugi used the jacket, which the man used to stop the bleeding, to press against Jaylin's wound.
"I'm actually her father... or at least I am now," Yugi replied, stunning everyone in disbelief. "I was going to talk to her parents and ask about adopting her, since they have a dog that keeps hurting her and would want her to have a safe place to live. I guess I was wrong."
The door opened, revealing Jaylin's mother and father. Jaylin's father glared at Yugi, saying, "you-"
"NO! YOU STAY AWAY FROM HER!" Yugi shouted with such threat, his eyes glowing red and the eye of horus glowing on his forehead, which made Jaylin's parents step back. "You chose your dog over your flesh and blood. You sicken me. I will make sure that you NEVER see her again! I will fight for custody over her and I will win! And, if you come one inch toward her, I will kill you!"
The ambulance truck came and Yugi picked up the small girl bridal style and headed over to the ambulance truck.
A/N: There was more after this, like revealing that this was a nightmare and Jaylin dueling Belowski. Though, it's not really important, so I will stop it here. I guess, if you want to know, Jaylin wakes up earlier than usual, decides to find someone to duel, decides to go to the school roof, meets Belowski, and duels him. Come to find out, Belowski is the son of Dr. Crowler and is in middle school, being home-schooled with Marcel, since he's in middle school. Belowski also has a crush on Jaylin and asks her on a date after the duel. Jaylin agrees, much to her friends' shock.
I'm sorry I have to skim through the rest of the end of this chapter, but it got deleted and I really don't want to repeat a duel I already did, so... yeah. I promise I won't do this again ;) this is just a one time deal.
