"What kind of deal, Herald?" He asked the young man with his eyebrow quirked up.

"I'm sure you are summoned or know of this Dark Lord's supporters, from now on you are a working for me. Therefore, I want to know everything that goes on and you will mention my existence next time you meet with someone on that side." Harry replies, in the back of his mind, he felt Morgan's approval of using the situation to benefit them.

Snape smile a truly evil smiled "An idea worthy of Salazar himself, if you had a way to hide yourself I would take you to the next meeting myself."

"I do not want to go to him; I want him to come to me. I am not stupid, far from that. I have learned from the past and the last thing I will do is call Final Strike." Harry replied his eyes narrowed "Trust me, when I say, I am more powerful." As to prove a point, Harry lifted his hand and it glowed an eerie blue.

Snape leaned back from the blue light "No need to prove your power to me, and I think I know a way to lure him closer as well but it's not without risk."

"Snape, you are good potions brewer, but you are truly stupid in the ways of Strategy. I wouldn't really trust you to watch my back even if you were close with my birth mother." Harry replied, "You will do this my way."

Morgan made her presence known in Harry's mind. :Chosen, bring him here.:

Harry turned and began to walk to the courtyard "Follow me, my Companion wishes to meet you."

Severus followed his black robes billowing out as he thought he and Harry were the living representatives of good and evil respectfully.

They entered the courtyard and found the Companion waiting looking both gentle and as a wrath.

Snape gapped at the being before him, she radiated magic, but there was something else.

Morgan looked at Harry, imparting to him what she wanted.

"She wants you to look into her eyes." Harry instructed, "Let down your protections, she wishes to test your soul. Whatever that means."

Snape shook off the eerie feeling then lowered his shield and stared in to Morgan's eyes. What he saw was strange, it was like paradise, but there was a woman standing in between him and it. The woman was wearing the same type of uniform as the two Heralds but it was antique.

Morgan read into the man's soul, he was truly regretful of his past sins. She broke contact. :His soul is broken but mending. He is regretful of his actions, Chosen.:

Harry nods and looked slightly confused as to the idea forming in his Companion's mind. Nevertheless, whatever the Companion wanted to do, she would do so without telling him.

:I must consult someone that really knows the truth of the matter.: Morgan states as she turned and trotted out of the court yard.

Harry turned to Snape, "I don't suppose you know of something that belonged to this blood-path wizard?"

"Yes I do but most are well guarded by his most loyal followers." Snape answered

"Anything that is useful without having to meet up with his cronies?" Harry asks

"But I know one thing he might have forgotten about give me a day and I'll bring you it to you." Snape replies

Harry nods.

Morgan went around to where she had a clear view of the headmaster's office. :Firebird, you awake?:

:Yes, Companion; how may I help you?: Fawkes sent back.

:I believe I know someone who could use your abilities better then that graybeard.: Morgan answers

:Really, it saddens me to think he once was a good man when I bonded first to him.: Fawkes replies

:I thought as much, the one that I think you would be interested in, has a mending soul, he needs someone to unburden himself with, and you're smarter than others of your kind.: Morgan replies

Morgan heard Fawkes thinking and then answered. :Fine, I will see what happens next with the potions master.:

Morgan rolled her eyes. :Point of show, I would suggest making your new Choice in public say dinner.:

Fawkes laughs at the idea. :Yes that would be fitting indeed.:

Morgan left and went to graze.

Fawkes kept an eye on Snape, and deemed him worthy of himself. He looked down at the bowl that Dumbledore kept for him and found lemon drops.

Finally, dinnertime rolled around, about half way through the meal Fawkes flamed in to the room directly over Dumbledore with a bowl in his claws. With a squawk, Fawkes dumped the bowl over his head, flew over to Snape, and landed on his shoulder.

Snape stared confusingly at the phoenix.

:I like you, we be bonded, yes?: Fawkes questions

Both Heralds spat out their drinks and stared wide eyed at their Companions.

Snape eyes nearly bulged at hearing the words from the Phoenix. :i-i-i guess so.: As Snape fell back in to his chair.

Fawkes' mental presence came to nest within Snape's mind. : Poor Severus, She was right, you need me.:

Snape just shook his head to stunned to speak.

:Was? When am I not right?: Morgan questions, looking at her fellow Companion.

Luna stood up and walked up to the Companions' who welcomed her. "The Light's representative has come home to roost."

The whole hall was silent after that.

"Luna?" Corina asks, "Surely you do not mean the Lord of Light?"

Luna nodded "The Light is annoyed that His worshipers in this world have placed their faith in someone mortal." She then just gave the same smile, she always had. "I think I want some pudding."

Corina and Harry stared at each other for a few seconds.

`"Master Snape? Look at us, I mean really look at us." Corina requested

Snape looked up and faced the two Heralds and his face paled. He felt rather than really seen what both Heralds were all about, his mental senses were sharpen due to his new bonding with the phoenix.

"What happened?" Draco of all the Slytherins questions

"The Firebird has chosen to abandon his previous bonded and choose a new one." Harry answers "apparently, Morgan approves of the match as well."

The hall began to fill with the students trying to make sense of what just happened and how it was even possible.

Severus turned to glare coldly at the headmaster, "You are senile; you were trying to feed a carnivore lemon drops."

"Those were merely a treat; I do feed him properly, Severus." Dumbledore replied unable to fathom why the phoenix would change sides so quickly.

Severus' eyes widen, he realized just what was happening. Fawkes gave him the knowledge of how to use mind-to-mind speech with another human. He reached out with his mind to Harry.

Harry's eye flickered to Snape. :Yes?:

:Please meet me in my office with Herald Corina.: Snape requested

The two Heralds nods and stand to leave that hall.

Severus stood with Fawkes on his shoulder; he made eye contact with Draco. Silently telling him to come with them.

Draco also stood waving his two goons back and left to follow the potions master.

The four-member group entered into Snape's office. Snape went to one section of his collection of potions, "That daft codger!" he turned suddenly startling the phoenix into mantling. "Sorry, Fawkes. Never accept anything from Dumbledore."

"What do you mean Snape?" Harry asked

"He's been stealing my potions; I've been tasked to create a potion to weaken mental defenses." Severus answers, "And Draco, I'm invoking my rights as your godfather."

Both the heralds shot up in outrage and were ready to bring the head master to justice.

:Chosen, you forget, we are not within Valdemar, you can just bring the graybeard to justice.: both Companions spoke as one to both of their Chosen.

"I was working on that when Herald Corina busted down my door. Needless to say, he's not going like what I did." Severus confessed

"Can you reverse the effects of the potion but in a way that the Old fool won't notice?" Corina asks

"Heralds, you misunderstand, I kept that section for my failed attempts. I just haven't labeled them, those were just magical mineral water, I have never been able to create a potion to weaken mental defenses, and I am the only one who is an expert in that field." Snape replied he turned to Draco, "Tell them everything, about what your father has been doing."

Draco looked at Snape then at the Heralds. Corina projected courage at the boy.

Draco felt courage flow in to him he took a deep breath and began to tell of what he knew of his father's plans. "The Dark Lord's taken over Malfoy Manor."

"Really?" Harry questions, he looked at Fawkes, "Say bird, you know where Dumbledore keeps something of the Dark Lord's?"

:Yes, he has the diary in his office.: Fawkes answers.

Corina gasped as a memory hit from her own Magic or fakery class, "You mean you think this guy's has his own way of surviving death?"

"Yes, he does and it's the fullest form of magic ever the price for it is never worth it." Snape explains.

"Get me that book." Harry demanded

"Already on it by tonight the book will be in your hands." Snape replies

Harry was sure that this Voldemort was wondering about who was strong enough to use wandless magic about time, they met face to face.
