Corina had no idea what a Friday was, but she did not bother thinking about it.
Later at dinner, she saw Draco sitting by himself at the far end of the table just staring at his plate.
Corina stood up abruptly, went over to Draco, "Come with me."
Draco's head snapped up at the sound of her voice and Corina felt the fear roll off him. "Please I promise, I won't disturb the class anymore. J-j-just no more please." He whispered to her.
The others saw this and wondered what was going on between the two of them.
Corina didn't reply, but she just waited for the boy, to stand and join her.
Draco stood and made to follow the Herald once more out of the hall.
Corina sensed Dasher following them, she did not comment on it. "You and I share a lot of common background. Aside being born in two different worlds."
Draco didn't reply he just stared at the ground. Corina still felt the fear but confusion was mixing in as well.
"I am Highborn, which in your terms means, I'm a pure-blood. So I know what it feels like to be expected to be perfect." Corina explains, "aside from my being female. Everything is the same."
Draco barely lifted his head "No its not, you know where you stand most of the time and you got real friends to stand by you not goons."
"I didn't get 'real' friends until after I was Chosen. I was always with my tutors; would you call them friends? I was drowning in lace and satin gowns; I won't touch those unless even if I was offered Dasher and Morgan's combined weight in gold." Corina replied, "As I have said before, if I wasn't Chosen, I would have been in an arranged marriage right now."
Draco laughed a little at that, he raised his head and looked into her eyes she saw they were blank like those after the war.
Corina shook her head, "Someday, you will need to think for yourself and choose a side, either you choose to be good or evil, either way someone will stop you. I have the honor of being a Herald but there were still people who thought about me, and wondered if I was going to follow in my Great-uncle's footsteps."
Draco shook his head as if shaking so thoughts from his head. "I didn't know how all I was ever shown was what father wanted how I should act what people I should know, I HATE THIS I don't want it anymore." He flopped down on to the floor pulling his legs close.
"Only one way to solve this problem." Harry states coming up behind them.
Draco jumped at his voice slowly backing up from Harry.
"Lord of Light, do you think I'm going to call you to task for being an idiot? If I was, I'm sure Corina will have me measuring my length on the ground before I open my mouth." Harry continued
Draco stood still trying to fixed himself. "No, no, I'm just a bit on edge that's all."
Harry shrugged, "and I'm sure Corina would unleash the Weaponsmaster on me as well."
Draco took a deep breath "Herald Harry Ashkevron, I Draco Malfoy wish to offer a formal apology for my actions this afternoon." Draco bowed his head and waited.
"You have nothing to apologize for, everyone makes mistakes, even Heralds, and of course we do not like to admit." Harry replies "But to make up for it, you could help me with something?"
"What are going to have me do, herald?" Draco wondered.
"You could tell be what a Grin-gotts is?" Harry asks
"Yes, it's the wizarding bank every wizard uses it in one form or another." Draco answers
"Then why would they send me a letter by owl?" Harry questions
"May I see it please and I may be able to tell you." Draco requested
Harry reached into his belt pouch and pulled out a folded piece of parchment. He then summoned up mage-light.
Draco read the letter then gave it back "It's about the potter family vaults, as you're the last heir they wish to settle the account and their wills with you."
"What do I have to do tell everyone, I do not wish to stay here?" Harry questions
"Well you have to go to the local branch and tell them what you want done with the vaults and the stuff in them." Draco answers
Harry began pacing as he thought about that.
Draco saw this and offered some advice "Look Herald I know you won't be staying but im sure the bank can send a representative to deal with this.
"I like that idea." Corina seconded before she dropped low and swept Harry's legs from under him. "Enough with the pacing."
Harry picked himself up and dusted off "Fine we'll do that first thing in the morning the faster the better."
"See and you were afraid that our lifebonding was a bad thing." Corina teased
"True what was I ever thinking dearheart? Thank you Draco see you tomorrow." Harry states
"Draco, will you consider returning to Valdemar with us?" Corina questions
Draco tripped at her question "What after how I acted you make me that offer but what about my godfather?"
"If he wants he can come too, besides you two need MindHealers with more experience then I have." Corina replies
Then yes but only if things are settled here first." With that he turned and quickly left the two alone.
Corina turned to Harry, "So how are we going to end this?"
Harry looked at Corina, "I have an idea, but I do not know if this idea will work."
"It will work, I just want all of us to get back home in one piece. " Corina replied
Harry shook his head, "Your faith in me traveling to and returning from the astral plane is slightly disturbing."
