Here's the next chapter. Why am I not starting this with the duel with Kaibaman? Because Jaylin has been through a number of shadow games and I feel it would take more than those two to actually make her stress level rise up that high, especially since there's a huge time gap. Anyways, I'm just going to save it for later. Review please!

"So, what do you plan to use your new-found powers for?" Jaylin asked Chazz. She finally got a chance to talk to Chazz, after all the craziness going on, about his possible dark powers.

"I don't know, to be honest. I've always had a thing for seeing illusions that weren't there. This at least tells me that I'm not just seeing things and that there really is a what-the-hell-is-that in polka-doted underwear that won't leave me the hell ALONE!" Chazz explained.

"Oh co'mon, boss! I'm not that bad!" Ojama Yellow said.

"YES YOU ARE, NOW SCRAM!" Chazz shouted, grabbing a hold of his hair.

"You should probably try toning your voice down or find yourself with a crazy stamp on your forehead," Jaylin warned, signally that every student nearby was staring at Chazz. Eventually, everyone returned back to what they were doing, assuming Chazz was just playing around.

"Well, this is great, everyone is going to think I'm crazy every time Yellow tries nagging on me during class," Chazz said grumpily.

"You can try setting limits for Ojama Yellow. Even Kuri has a few limitations for when he sees or talks to me. You probably notice that he's never around me when I'm with everyone. That's because he's usually supposed to not be around me, when I'm with my friends. He's only allowed, if I give him the signal."

"Signal?"

"Yeah, when I do this," Jaylin replied, slightly pulling on the shoulder part of her Slifer Red vest before Kuri appeared on her right shoulder. "Another reason is also because Daddy doesn't like Kuri being with me during school days or out too long."

"So... your Pops has these dark powers too?"

"Sure does! It sometimes runs in families, but mostly its passed on from one person to the next, after the death of that person."

"How do you know..." Chazz asked as Jaylin gave him a bored look. "Right, your Pops is an archaeologist. Got it! So, you got your powers from the Dark Queen, where did your Pops get his?"

"It was inherited to him by an ancient Pharaoh. You see, Daddy has been doing paranormal adventure stuff, since he was... I believe our age."

"Seriously!?"

"Yeah... he was rewarded for helping a spirit crossover to the Underworld by being inherited those power. It took Daddy years for him to completely master his powers and, even to this day, he's still learning. When he learns something, he usually shares it with me and we learn together. Of course, I still am not as skilled as he is, but he still shares what he's learned."

"I have to ask. You say that you can create Shadow Games, yet say you're not ready for it yet. Why?"

"Because Shadow Games requires a bulk of self control, which I don't have yet. Daddy says that learning self control usually requires a very dark heart."

"A dark heart?"

"Yeah, meaning that there has to be a point where you feel a huge amount of emotion that is linked to darkness like hatred, anger, depression, and so forth."

"And you haven't got one yet?"

"Not yet, as far as I know."

"What about your Dad?"

"It took him years... specifically when I was five."

"Do you know what his first Shadow Game was, when he had complete control?"

"Yeah... it's kind of a long story."

Yugi was riding his bike, Jaylin being strapped into a booster seat on the back of the bicycle. Jaylin was laughing happily, feeling the wind blowing against her face and her hair. There was also a little metal basket hooked to the front of the bicycle, where Yugi would usually put any supplies or groceries he'd buy. Though, today was not the time for grocery shopping.

Yugi stopped next to a bike parking space and locked it tight and secure with his bike lock. Then, he unstrapped Jaylin from her booster seat, placing her down on the ground.

"Take my hand, Princess," Yugi said, getting out his hand as Jaylin took it and walked with him onto the sidewalk.

Yugi and Jaylin went inside a place called Pachinko Crazy. There were almost hundreds of Pachinko machines kids, adults and teenagers were playing. Jaylin instantly ran across the room and jumped onto one of the Pachinkos before Yugi laughed, leaning over Jaylin, who was already sitting on the seat.

"We have to buy our tokens, Princess," Yugi explained to Jaylin, who moaned, getting off the seat. "Now co'mon. Don't get all grumpy on me. It won't take long."

"Okay."

"That's my girl!" Yugi replied, patting Jaylin's head before taking the girl's hand and walking toward the counter.

Yugi bought Jaylin some Pachinko Tokens and let her play several Pachinko games. Yugi enjoyed watching her have fun playing and laughing about. There were days like these when Yugi no longer had to worry about watching his back or running from bullies all over again like when he was in middle school. He could just easily enjoy himself watching his little girl have fun and be playful.

Jaylin was able to win a number of toys with the balls she won. One of those was a little silver crown, which she placed upon her head. She also won a little stuffed doll with black yarn hair and a little blue dress and shoes. She held it with one arm as she walked out of Pachinko Crazy, also carrying her little small bag of other small prizes like stickers and such.

"I love my new dolly. I think I'll call her Lady Mimi. It's a cute name, don't cha think?" Jaylin asked.

"Yes, I think it's a very lovely name," Yugi agreed, placing Jaylin onto her booster seat, while a couple of men came from behind Yugi.

The man in the middle took Yugi by the back of the shirt, then punched him across the face, knocking him to the ground. The men laughed as Jaylin screamed, "DADDY!"

"You like kidnapping little girls from their parents, punk?" The other guy smirked, kicking Yugi, who got up.

"Please... let my daughter and I go in peace. You're setting a bad example to her," Yugi pleaded.

"So, beating you up in front of a child is bad, but kidnapping 'em from their parents is okay? You're the hypocritical one," the third guy smirked as the group began kicking Yugi to the ground over and over.

"STOP IT! STOP IT!" Jaylin screamed, her eyes glowing gold

"JAYLIN NO!" Yugi screamed, being kicked and rolling on the ground.

"Please!" Jaylin cried, her eyes changing back to brown, trying to control her powers. "Leave Daddy alone!"

"Hate to break it to ya kid, but he ain't your Daddy," The third guy smirked.

"But don't worry. We'll take really good care of you until your parents get out of probation," the middle guy said. Then, his foot was grabbed.

"You... leave my little girl... alone!" Yugi threatened darkly.

The middle guy laughed, kicking Yugi across the face before the first guy began unstrapping Jaylin. She cried, "HELP! LEAVE ME ALONE!" She screamed, kicking as the first guy took a good hold of her.

"Shut up, you little twerp!" the middle guy shouted, slapping Jaylin across the face before the men found themselves frozen in place.

"No! No! NO! I tried not to do it!" Jaylin cried, covering her eyes and not wanting to see the results

"It wasn't you... Princess," Yugi muttered darkly as Jaylin peeked between her fingers and saw his eyes glowing crimson and the Eye of Horus glowing on his forehead. "I challenged all of you and you lost the game. I had not kidnapped any child, but you tried to kidnap Jaylin and hurt her. PENALTY GAME!"

The thugs screamed bloody murder as Jaylin squirmed out of their grasp, running to Yugi, who was lying on the ground. The three thugs began running and screaming aimlessly like a couple of mad men. More tears rolled down Jaylin's cheeks. Yugi looked up and stared at the red mark where Jaylin was slapped.

"I thought you told me you couldn't control a Shadow Game, unless you had a dark heart," Jaylin said, tears still rolling down.

"I did and I do," Yugi muttered quietly, reaching his hand to the red mark on Jaylin's cheek. "I can't forgive anyone, who hurts you. I'm sorry for being such a poor example. You should always forgive others that afflict you."

"Yes Daddy," Jaylin replied, still crying. She lifted Yugi's upper body, then wrapped her arms around her father's neck.

Yugi held Jaylin close, then picked himself up with his bike. Jaylin climbed on her booster seat to strap herself in, not wanting her father to perform anymore burdens. Yugi rode his bicycle all the way back home to treat his wounds and comfort Jaylin.

"Oh my god," Chazz responded quietly. Of course, he was left out the part where Jaylin was adopted and Yugi was the father, but the rest was straightforward.

"Yeah," Jaylin said, a smile appearing across her face. "Of course, I'm grown and it's a bit harder to actually hurt me, so to speak. Though, Daddy still has that side and it's that side that gives him better control over the Shadow Games. He says, when my heart starts getting really dark, then I can create Shadow Games at will and control them."

"Huh."

"Hey Chazz!" Chancellor Shepard called from the steps in front of the school, which was not too far from the courtyard where Chazz and Jaylin were talking. "There's some people wanting to talk to you."

"Is it Slade and Jagger again?" Chazz asked in annoyance, folding his arms as Chancellor Shepard nodded. "Of course. Tell them I'm not in the mood and I'm done with them!"

"I'm afraid it's more serious than that. They're challenging you to a duel to buy off Kaiba Corp, if they win."

Jaylin burst out laughing, responding, "What!? Okay, I gotta see this! Kaiba seriously must be having a bad day or he's high!"

"I'd take the first option, honestly," Chazz muttered, Chancellor Shepard giving him the iPad, which showed Slade and Jagger Princeton. "You say you want to duel me or something?"

"You heard! We're close to spreading our Electronics all across the globe! We can gain higher profit and reach to foreign countries, fulfilling our dreams for our company to monopolize the Electronic Industries nation wide!" Jagger stated.

"Though, Mr. Kaiba says that we have to win in a duel against one of his students with a deck of monsters under 1000 attack points and, being that you're a student, you'd be perfect to duel against!" Shade finished.

"Wow, Kaiba really is having a bad day," Jaylin chuckled.

"Say, who's your girlfriend?" Shade asked.

"She's not my girlfriend!" Chazz glared, his cheeks turning red.

"Why does everyone assume I'm someone's girlfriend?" Jaylin wondered.

"Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Anyways, how about it, Chazzy? We duel, you lose, and we'll be living high off the hog!"

"You always say that and I'm always the underdog of the group! In fact, it's only now that you've started giving me a little more respect, since Mom and Dad died! First, you shove me into a number of boarding schools, say I'm never going to make it in life, threaten to put me on the streets, and now you're asking me to lose for you and assume I'll give a damn!?" Chazz snapped.

"Isn't it obvious? They're plotting world domination," Jaylin grinned as Chazz looked at her, wondering if she had been smoking pot.

"What?"

"Think about it, Chazz. With politics, finance and card games, they can rule the world... somehow!"

"And... how the hell does that work?"

"Co'mon Chazz, do I have to spell it out for ya? Finance, plus politics, plus card games, plus god card juice, equals world freakin' domination!"

"Oh HA-HA! You're such a comedian!" Jagger snapped sarcastically as Jaylin burst out laughing.

"You're apparently a high school student and yet fail grade 1 math," Chazz responded boredly with a grim look on his face. He sighed and looked back at his brothers. "Anyways, you heard what I said. The day you come here, I'm gonna kick your ass to the curb! My time here is already paid for my our parents' inheritance and you have no way of taking it off of my account without talking to my lawyer, so FORGET IT!"

"You have a lawyer?" Jaylin asked with widened eyes.

"FINE! But just so you know, I'll be dueling with the best cards and you can only duel with monsters under 1000 life points," Slade stated.

"Don't you mean attack points?" Chazz corrected grimly.

"Shut the f**k up."

"And aside from what Chazz already pointed out, I call bullshit. Unless you pull off a Dimitri and steal Yugi's deck, you can take what you say about dueling with the best cards and shove it up your ass," Jaylin smirked.

"Someone's got a mouth," Jagger glared.

"And having strong or best cards doesn't define your chances of winning. Winning a duel also requires being skilled in the game. Being that Kaiba is allowing you to do this, tells me that you're not even a duelist at all, meaning your ass was already kicked before Chazz's foot could reach it. I don't know whether to call you noobs or just plain stupid."

"I'd go with either one," Chazz agreed.

"I suppose we'll see when we get to the island. I hope you're ready, because we're bringing the camera crew and the duel will be seen from around the world," Jagger smirked as Jaylin burst into laughter, tears pouring from her eyes as she rolled onto the ground, clutching onto her stomach.

"OH MY GOD, THIS IS TOO MUCH! I'M SO TEXTING DADDY ABOUT THIS! OH MY GOD!" Jaylin laughed aloud, rolling on her stomach and pounding the ground with her fists from such laughter. Of course, everyone was staring at her, wondering what she was laughing about.

"In fact, we just decided to turn it into a tag-team and have your girlfriend join, since she seems to be full of herself today. We'll be here tomorrow. See you on the other side!" Slade smirked before the screen closed.

Jaylin continually laughed harder and harder, pounding her fists onto the ground and tears bursting from her eyes. She cried, "they... they... are gonna put it on live TV... and... and... challenge us to Duel Monsters... and..." She kept laughing harder and harder, burying her face in her arms, which folded into a pillow. After a while, she finally calmed her laughter.

"You done?" Chazz asked boredly.

"Yes!" Jaylin replied with her laughing voice.

"Hey Jaylin, what's with the laughter? You're looking like some sort of crazy psycho," Carl smirked. Alexis and Ronda were behind her.

"You're going to love this. My brothers are trying to buy Kaiba Corp. by challenging one or two of the students to a duel. They chose Jaylin and I, expecting to win, and are wanting to broadcast it live on TV," Chazz smirked as the girls laughed.

"Wow! This should be excellent!" Alexis said.

"I know and this will probably be the first time I'll actually get to duel live on television," Jaylin grinned excitedly.

"Except you need to create your deck with monsters under 1000 attack points," Chazz pointed out.

"Chazz, it's not like I can't create a deck like that," Jaylin stated, rolling her eyes.

"But aren't most of your monsters over 1000 attack?"

"In the deck you're currently seeing, but I've created other decks, besides Elemental Hero. I'll just create a low level deck."

"Do you have enough monsters to do that?" Ronda asked. "I could let you borrow a few of my cards."

"I'm good, Ronda. Listen, I'm all good. I just need to set up a low level deck and I've got the cards to do so. In fact, I think I'll start building one now," Jaylin promised, running straight for her dorm room.

When Jaylin got to her dorm room, she dumped all her Duel Monsters cards onto the ground and started looking at each and every one of them. Of course, while she did so, she text Yugi about what had happened moments ago. Jaylin began looking through her cards, trying to find out which of her monsters would work for her new deck she would use against Slade and Jagger. Any card with monsters over 1000 attack points were tossed aside.

Kuri appeared peering over Jaylin's shoulder, glancing to see what Jaylin was doing. She bit the corner of her lip, looking over at Kuri.

"Do you think I should use this?" Jaylin asked.

"Kuri!" Kuri replied.

"Hm..." Jaylin thought, looking at the card in her hand. A chuckle escaped her nose and a smile appeared across her face. "I'm sure Pegasus would be happy, if I used this."

"Kur-Kuri!"

"Though, Kaiba would surely get a kick out of me using this one," Jaylin thought, picking up a card from her pile. "Hey, maybe I can use a combination of cards everyone's given me. I'm sure I can make all of them happy, right?"

"Kuri! Kuri!" Kuri chirped showing a smile as Jaylin gave one back, then placed several cards in her new deck.

"Then, it's official! The deck I'll make will be a combination of every card everyone has given to me. That way, when they see me duel on live television, it'll be like a shout out to them! Besides, it's the least I can do, after giving Kaiba a hard time lately with the whole Abandoned Dorm thing. I mean he was the one, who gave Daddy the chance he needed to adopt me and each card everyone has given me represents a part of them I will always cherish in my heart."

"Kurrrri!"

"I love you too, Kuri," Jaylin replied, petting Kuri from the top of his head.
