The next day, Tony and Ziva were at the roller rink and Gibbs and McGee went to Breadstix. Tony was talking to the manager and Ziva was looking around the rink.
"Was Mark a repeat customer?" Tony asked.
"Yeah. He came every Friday with his friends," the manager said.
"Did anything seem unusual the night if his murder?"
"Well for starters it was a Wednesday and he wasn't part of McKinley's Glee Club so he shouldn't have been here," The manager said and then continued. "Well he did have some friends in the Glee Club,"
"Do you know their names?"
"No. But three of them played football with him and the other two are cheerleaders,"
Tony nodded as he wrote in his notebook. "Okay. Thank you," Tony said and walked back over to Ziva. "Let's go," He said and Ziva nodded. "What'd ya find?"
"Nothing really," Ziva said and she turned her head to Tony. "What about you?"
"The kid normally comes in on Fridays with his friends. The manager knows a few kids from the Glee Club that he's friends with," Tony said. They got in the car and drove to the high school again. Tony and Ziva walked into Glee Club and saw that they were singing and dancing. It all stopped when Tony and Ziva came through the door. Tony walked over to Mr. Schue. "We need to talk to Finn, Puck, Mike, Santana, and Brittany,"
"Okay," Mr. Schue said. "Finn, Puck, Mike, Santana, and Brittany go with Agents DiNozzo and David," The five teens got out of their seats and walked with the agents to the auditorium.
"We need to get to the bottom of this," Ziva started. "What did Mark do that he's dead?"
"We don't know lady!" Puck said with force. "Maybe the janitor got pissed for having to clean up all those slushies."
"The janitor?" Ziva asked and Mike nodded.
"Yeah, Crazy Janitor Steve is always complaining about how many slushies he has to clean up." The Asian explained with a shrug. "I don't know. He's always mumbling."
"Mumbling what?" Tony asked. "Do you think it's possible that he did it?"
Finn struggled. "I dunno man. He's like, 45. I don't think an old person could kill someone."
"45 isn't old squishy tits." Santana rolled her eyes.
"But killing someone over slushies?" Brittany asked, a confused look on her face. "That doesn't make sense."
Ziva looked over at Mike who seemed to be the only student willing to help. "Do you have any idea what he could be mumbling."
Mike thought for a second, tilting his head to the side before answering; "He doesn't like how it leaves his hands sticky."
"I like the sticky feeling." Brittany said, smiling over at Mike.
"Thank you Britt," Mike said before turning back to Ziva and Tony. "He didn't like being sticky and leaning down to clean it up hurt his back."
Tony raised an eyebrow. "I don't think that's enough evidence to bring him in."
"You could always bring him in for questioning," Santana said. "You do it to everyone else."
Brittany looked from Ziva to Tony then back to Ziva. She tapped her pointer finger on her chin a few before smiling.
"What are you smiling about?" Puck asked the blond.
"You two should be on Fondue For Two!" Brittany said happily.
"Um.. What's that?" Tony asked.
"My internet show!" The blond said happily. Puck rolled his eyes and shook his head.
"Britt, not now," Santana said.
"No seriously, what is that?" Ziva asked.
"She interviews you,"
"We can't go on that," Ziva said. "We don't know what you're gonna ask,"
"I can tell you before it happens," Brittany chirped. "Maybe you can help my cat kick his smoking addiction."
"You're cat smokes?" Tony asked, raising an eyebrow.
Brittany nodded. "I told him to stop but he won't listen to me. Santana tried too but nothing works."
"And what makes you think that we can stop him?" Ziva asked the girl.
"'Cause you're agents," She looked at them with wide eyes. "If you can't help him I don't know who can!"
"Okay, okay… After we finish this case we'll talk more about being on your show okay?" Ziva said.
"Okie dokie!" Brittany grinned before linking pinkies with Santana and the two girls walked away.
Tony and Ziva shared a look and then walked towards the choir room with the kids. Mike sat back down with Tina and put his arm around her shoulders. She sent him a nervous smile before facing the front of the room again. Mike sent her a worried look and then kissed the crown of her head before turning around and started talking to Sam.
Tina glanced up at the clock, realizing that there was forty-five minutes left of class. She wrung her hands nervously, blinking back tears. She took a shaky breath, trying to calm herself down. Blaine, who was sitting next to her, noticed his friends behavior and took her hands into his. He scooted his chair closer to hers, getting a confused look from Kurt but he ignored it.
"Are you okay Queen T?" Blaine asked quietly.
Tina only nodded, giving her friend a weary smile and squeezed his hand.
"It's okay to be scared," Blaine said. "Honestly I'm scared too. I really hope they catch whoever did this."
Tony and Ziva were watched over the glee kids for their own protection as they sang songs. Tony noticed that Ziva was tapping her foot along with the beat. Tony smiled and nudged her.
"What? I like this song,"
Tony looked her in the eyes and smiled. He took her hand and said, "Dance with me,"
"What? No. We're on duty and this isn't even a dancing song,"
"Just for a little bit. I'll even ask Mr. Schue if he can play our song," Tony smirked at the mention of the time when they were in Berlin. Ziva smiled.
"Alright everyone! I think Kurt and Blaine have a song they want to share with all of you for regionals," Mr. Schue said as Kurt and Blaine stood up and walked to the front of the room.
"I swear if it's a love song or a Broadway number I'm walking out!" Santana yelled from her seat.
"Shut up Santana," Rachel said as she turned around from her seat in the front. "Let Kurt and Blaine sing whatever they want! You're always complaining about Finn and I singing love songs to each other, don't start on Kurt and Blaine."
"Hearing Lady Hummel and Frodo singing is better than you and squishy tits anyday." Santana remarked with a glare.
"Santana, Rachel.. enough." Mr. Schue scowled. "Let Kurt and Blaine sing please."
The girls stopped bickering, going back to ignoring each other as Kurt sent Mr. Schue a thankful look. Blaine talked to the band about the song before coming back to the center of the room and smiled at his fellow glee clubbers.
"I know this song isn't our usual style but Kurt and I thought that it would be fun to switch it up a bit." Blaine explained as his boyfriend nodded along with him.
He looked over at the band, giving them a nod and they started playing. Blaine nodded his head along with the drum beat as the bass came in before singing.
"She says she's no good with words but I'm worse. Barely stuttered out "A joke of a romantic", or just stuck to my tongue. Weighed down with words too over-dramatic. Tonight it's "It can't get much worse", Vs. "No one should ever feel like..." Blaine sung.
Kurt jumped in with the next verse, "I'm two quarters and a heart down. And I don't want to forget how your voice sounds. These words are all I have so I'll write them. So you need them just to get by,"
Blaine and Kurt both sang, "Dance, dance. We're falling apart to half time. Dance, dance. And these are the lives you'd love to lead. Dance, this is the way they'd love. If they knew how misery loved me. You always fold just before you're found out. Drink up it's last call. Last resort. But only the first mistake,"
Blaine just sang, "I'm two quarters and a heart down. And I don't want to forget how your voice sounds. These words are all I have so I'll write them. So you need them just to get by."
Kurt singing behind Blaine, "Why don't you show me a little bit of spine. You've been saving for his mattress, love,"
Together, "Dance, dance. We're falling apart to half time. Dance, dance. And these are the lives you'd love to lead. Dance, this is the way they'd love. If they knew how misery loved me. Why don't you show me a little bit of spine. You've been saving for his mattress (mattress, mattress). I only want sympathy in the form of you crawling into bed with me. Dance, dance. We're falling apart to half time. Dance, dance. And these are the lives you'd love to lead. Dance this is the way they'd love (way they'd love). Dance this is the way they'd love (way they'd love). Dance this is the way they'd love. If they knew how misery loved me. Dance, dance. Dance, dance. Dance, dance. Dance, dance,"
When they finished, Santana looked at them and smiled, "Wow Fall Out Boy. Who knew you guys could sing that?"
"Santana, leave them alone," Rachel said.
"It was better than you and squishy tits could sing,"
"I would like to see you sing something like that," Finn said. Santana just smirked and kept quiet.
Sam rose his hand. "Yes Sam?"
"I think we should do original songs for regionals again,"
"Original songs?" Tony asked.
"Yeah, we wrote our own songs for regionals and nationals last year," Rachel said.
Tony looked at Mr. Schue, "Wait, seriously?"
"Yeah. These kids are really talented," Mr. Schue smiled. "Sam, that is a great idea but I feel like we would just be repeating what we did. We need something fresh and new,"
"Can we sing Riptide by Vance Joy for regionals?" Puck asked.
"Yes. I like that idea," Mr. Schue. "Good job, Puck."
