(A/N: Hey, hey, hey. How are y'all doing, fine? Good. Alright, enough small talk. On with the story!)

By the way, this is the next morning.

Zim, now in his Skool disguise, rose out of his toilet in the kitchen after a night of unproductive effort. While his conscience had been...killed, Zim had to admit that he was...right.

About everything. Yes, even the Dib-has-good-fashion-sense thing.

It had been bothering him all night, and it really left him unable to focus.

However, he still had to go to Skool, and take Tak with him, so he tried not to let it deter him from his learning duties.

He found Tak sitting at the kitchen table with her head in her hands. She had had a rough night too.

"Time for Skool!"

Tak perked up. Wordlessly, she switched on her disguise (Darn it! Even as a human, she was pretty!) and headed for the door. Zim followed.

GIR and MiMi were there to see them off, and they left.

Zim and Tak walked in silence. What with all the FEELINGS developing between them now, it was becoming awkward.

Zim didn't like to feel like this. He didn't like having a sense of adoration towards someone other than himself. And, I guess, the Tallest. He felt like he was becoming soft, and as an invader, that wasn't a very good attitude. Who knows how Skoodge got by? Zim told and told himself not to let these affections show.

As the two walked, Tak's hand mistakenly brushed against Zim's. He felt himself blush at the sensation, but swiftly hid it and retaliated by shoving her.

"Hey!" Tak caught herself before she fell."What was that for?!"

"Not so close!" Zim replied. He quickened his pace and marched on ahead.

Tak frowned after him.

What was his problem?

The bell rang.

"It is now time for lunch," Ms. Bitters announced."Go fill up on our cafeteria's delicious peas and relish."

All the students filed out of the classroom and made their way to the lunchroom. Yay, peas and relish!

Remaining awkward, Zim and Tak sat on opposite ends of the cafeteria.

Zim sneered as he prodded his peas. They were really soupy...and gross...Sort of like how Zim felt right now. All these emotions were fairly new to him, and he sure wasn't handling it well. If his vomit were made of love, he would want to throw up.

Just when he thought he was actually going to, he looked up and spotted Tak.

Across the lunchroom, she was...talking to somebody?

Zim leaned to see who it was. His frown deepened.

Dib.

"WHAT is going on?!"

Tak blinked."Zim, there was absolutely no premise to what you just said."

"You know what I meant, you conspirator!" Zim pointed in accusation."Speaking...with the Dib! Treasonous!"

"Were you NOT the one who said that we weren't allies?" asked Tak, arms crossed.

"We're...not!" Zim tried to think of a way around what he said."You should just stay away from Dib! He's like a leech, he'll just attach to your thigh or something and stay there until he's drained your nutrient-rich blood and watched you die a slow, horrific death!"

"...I highly doubt that. By the way, you probably won't be seeing me for a while."

"What, why?!"

Tak put a finger to her chin."Well, Dib didn't specify, but since he's assuming that I'm staying elsewhere, he was wondering if I'd stay with him for a spell. He mentioned something about watching out for me or whatever. But that's not the matter. I'm sure it's for the best."

Zim's jaw dropped as she spoke. He couldn't believe that she would just...AGREE to such things! That she would just LEAVE him like this.

"...I..."

"Hey, Tak!" Dib walked up behind Tak."Everything alright?" He shot Zim a glare as the Irken just gaped.

"Oh, Zim's just a tad upset, because reasons," Tak said casually.

Zim...just watching that...Tak standing with his sworn enemy...it was just so WRONG.

He snapped out of his daze."Dib, tell me what you're planning!"

Dib smirked and his glasses glinted."Just look before you leap, Zim. You may be getting some extra visitors soon enough."

Tak frowned slightly. What did Dib mean by that...?

"Tak, you are making a huge mistake!" Zim told her."You should not side with the human! He shall only bring you misery. I would know."

"What do you care?" Dib put his hands on his hips."Too bad for you, Zim! Prepare to fail your mission. Anyway, Tak, let's- -"

Zim grabbed Tak's wrist and yanked her towards him."NO! She remains here, filthy Dib!"

Dib and Tak stared at Zim in surprise.

Then Dib gripped Tak's other wrist and did the same. He wasn't going down that easily. Plus, it pissed him off that Zim could just touch Tak like that."No way! The deal's done! Let go!"

"Nnno!" Zim pulled harder.

"Ouch!" cried Tak.

"Yyyes!" Dib pulled harder.

"No!"

Yank.

"Yes!"

Yank.

"NO!"

"YES!"

Tak's eyes bulged from the pressure."AGHH! BOTH OF YOU, STOP IT!"

Dib, realizing that he must have really been hurting Tak, instantly let go. Zim still held on, however, and Tak moved to his side.

"VICTORY FOR ZIM!" Zim cheered.

Scowling, Tak smacked his hands off of her arm."Neither of you are telling me where I go! I will decide what to do, and that's THAT! Deal with it!"

She began to trudge back to the building.

"But Tak!" Dib called."What if, by the time you make your decision, it's too late?!"

Tak stopped momentarily."...I'll just have to take that chance."

Zim and Dib were left there, standing alone on the playground. Zim didn't quite know what to say, but Dib did.

"You jerk."

(A/N: I know, I KNOW! You guys want longer chapters! I usually just end them when it "feels right", but I will try to make later ones longer. Again, I promise, all will be explained...

In other news, I'll be posting yet another Invader Zim one-shot sometime in the near future, so keep an eye out! This is pretty much the last update of the year, so...wow.

And I like making Dib's glasses illuminated. It looks cool, like in Hellsing Ultimate.

More stuffffffffffff.
