Anonymous Review 1: Yes, Jaylin is selfish. That's part of her character flaw. I mean she's not as bad as Seto Kaiba or the asshole kind of selfish, but she is selfish, and this will come back to bite her in the third sequel. Many people in this world have some sort of selfishness inside them. It's what makes us human. What I'm wondering is why you're comparing how Jaylin duels to how things go "in my world"? If you're thinking Jaylin is an author insert character... she's not. Yes, she's a character based off of stereotypical characteristics of mary-sues, but she's not me. I did insert myself in a few fan fictions like Dimensional Wacky Adventures and Kids of the Lab, but so far, those are the only fan fictions I've done that in.
Anonymous Review 2: Well, there wasn't really anything I could add. I just decided to end it from there.
As for Jesse, he doesn't come until WAY later in the third sequel.
Anonymous Review 3: After I'm done with this story, I'll start on the sequels.
Now, here is the chapter that will sorta makeup for the last chapter being cut short. I would've placed more, but the only thing I would've added was Jaylin getting ready for what is going to happen in this chapter. Hopefully, this will be my quirky way of making it up to you guys. Review please!
"Oh my god, this stupid thing is crawling up my ass!" Jaylin complained, trying to pull the pair of Obelisk Blue bloomers, which covered her underwear, from her crouch. Right now, she was only wearing underwear, bloomers and a bra in Alexis' dorm room.
"That's because you're pulling it up too high," Alexis said, pulling the bloomers lower from Jaylin's waist. "I thought, being a dancer, you would've had to wear these."
"Dancing and cheerleading are two different things. Dancers usually wear pants."
"And the Middle School you went to didn't wear skirts?"
"Not really."
Alexis finished fixing the bloomers, then beaminly said, "Perfect! Now, for the costume."
"'Kay," Jaylin replied, reaching the back of her bra, and unclipping the ends, before turning around from Alexis' view, then dropping the bra on the floor. Her breasts hung down from her chest.
"Catch!" Alexis called out, throwing a pink and blue costume, which landed on Jaylin's head.
Jaylin reached for it, then unzipped the back of the dress before stepping her feet into the dress, and pulling the skirt part to her waist. She slid her arms through the arm straps, which were to hang from the sides of her shoulders. Jaylin stuffed her breasts into the underbra, connected to the dress, then pulled the top of the dress up to support them. Alexis walked up to Jaylin, then zipped the back of the dress, which was a Dark Magician Girl costume.
"I suppose I looked better than I expected. I was kinda afraid that it wouldn't support my breasts, and they'd just hang far apart all ugly looking," Jaylin said, showing a hopeful smile.
"That's why it's always better to buy tight dresses," Alexis replied as Jaylin walked in front of the mirror, which was part of the closet door. Alexis placed her arms around Jaylin's waist, her chin resting on Jaylin's shoulder. "You look sexy."
"Damn right," Jaylin replied, then her eyes furrowed. "To be honest though, I've never worn clothes that showed this much cleavage."
"Me neither, but what can you do?" Alexis shrugged, then took off her Cheerleading uniform to place on her costume, which was a light orange Sailor Moon.
"So, tell me again why they chose you to be Sailor Venus?"
"Oh, would you shut it?" Alexis smirked, placing her arms through the arm holes, then pulling the top up to support her breasts. Jaylin then walked up behind her to zip up the dress. "At least I don't have to braid my hair in those long I-can't-believe-anyone-would-have-that-long-of-hair pigtails."
"True, but I've always wondered why the Sailor Scouts never cut their hair. I mean they're fighting evil. Certainly, they'd go to the nearest Salon, and get their hair cut to a more decent length, so their hair won't get in their face, or get pulled during a fight."
"Well, 'Sorry if I'm not gentle,' I can say that in my dreams. My dreams are about to short cir-" Alexis sang before Jaylin pound her head with a pillow.
"Oh, please don't get that song stuck in my head!" Jaylin cried out, then clutched her head. "Damnit! Now that stupid theme song is stuck in my head. Congratulations!"
Alexis laughed aloud, enjoying the idea of getting the Sailor Moon theme song stuck in her friends' heads. She heard the English version used different lyrics, but used the same tune. It was weird. She did admit that the song fit the show better than the original, though found it weird that it included shouting the names of the Sailor Scouts. Was that even necessary? Even rap tries to go with the flow of the song.
Jaylin brushed her hair, trying to braid it so she would fit it all inside the hair net she'd put on for the wig. After placing on the blond wig, she dabbed some makeup on herself, including certain ones she never used before like eyeliner and mascara. Though, she used the ones she was familiar with first before doing so. When trying the eyeliner, she tried drawing it against her lashes, which some of it almost went into her eye, making her cringe.
"You're supposed to put it right under the eyelash, not on it," Alexis instructed. "You want me to-"
"No. No. I got this," Jaylin assured, this time applying the eyeliner under the lashes. "They still look odd."
"You have to rub it in after applying it."
"Ah, okay!"
Jaylin rubbed in the eyeliner, making it blend with her lids, then began putting on mascara, remembering what Alexis told her about applying it. She blinked a few times, then placed on the blue hat on her wigged head. She checked herself in the mirror, turning her hips left, then right, smiling the entire time.
"Not bad. I'm actually glad my team picked me to be Dark Magician Girl," Jaylin said.
"Well, you have the body. With all the extreme exercise you put yourself through, you've developed yourself a very sexy body every girl wishes she'd have. I'd bet ya ten bucks that even Dark Magician Girl wishes she had that body."
"Now, you're just trippin'."
"Is that even a word?"
"It must be, since it's in the slang dictionary."
"There's a slang dictionary?" Alexis asked in surprise before hearing a knock on her door. She placed on the red bow on her head. "Come in!"
Rachel and a member of cheerleading appeared, both gasping at the same time. The cheerleader had a Sailor Mars outfit on, while Rachel had a Mystical Elf outfit. The dance team had decided for them all to dress as female duel monsters of different types. Jaylin was chosen to be the spellcaster type Dark Magician Girl, since she had the right body figure. The cheer squad, though, was to dress up as Sailor Moon characters.
"You both look so cute!" Rachel squeaked.
"Really? You sure my breasts don't look tacky?" Jaylin asked, looking at her cleavage.
"No girl, they look smexy! Guys are gonna eat you up in that."
"Oh crap, now you're making me hungry!" Jaylin glared as the girls laughed.
"Here you go," Rachel offered a snickers candy bar as Jaylin snatched it, and took a bite out of it."
"Thanks a lot," Jaylin thanked Rachel with her mouth full.
"Just don't get that outfit stained, it's dry clean only."
"I know!"
"So, who do you think is going to arrive for our Spirit Day Festival?" Alexis asked.
"You mean besides our folks? I think some people from Domino. Kaiba might arrive too," the cheerleader member replied, brushing her long black hair.
"Say, isn't your father arriving?" Alexis asked Jaylin, who was silent for a mere second.
"No," Jaylin lied. "Archeology means going to different countries, you know?"
"That's too bad."
"Yeah."
Jaylin didn't quite trust her friends at Duel Academy just yet. She still needed time to get to know them a bit. It was bad enough some of her friends at this school already knew, and was grateful they didn't tell anyone. Belowski only knew about Yugi, because his father was obviously Director and Chairman with certain records. If anyone of Duel Academy knew about Yugi being Jaylin's father, they usually found out themselves. Right now, Jaylin ONLY told her close friends that she was adopted, and that was it.
Tons of people from Domino City or slightly farther, who happened to be parents of the students of Duel Academy, attended the Spirit Day Festival on the small island. Each of the stands from each group included some sort of game or activity. The game would include prizes or candy. There was also food served like sushi, rice balls, shish kebab, and takoyaki.
Ronda and Carl were working behind the Spirit Club stand, which consisted of a tub filled with small floating balls, and yellow scoops laid in the middle of a floating colorless tupperware. They were among other members of Spirit Club, watching as kids, adults and teenagers try to collect as many balls as they can to win small prizes. The ones that were interested the most were mainly kids. They'd all try their best to collect the most balls and win prizes.
The next group in line were two older women, one in her 50's, and the other in her early 30's. There were two young boys with them, who almost raced to the end of the tub to play the game. Ronda smiled at the older women. The one in her 50's had some gray, though hints of black, short hair with light brown eyes, wearing a simple pair of jeans and a blouse. The woman in her 30's had longer black hair tied in a ponytail, and noticeable green eyes, wearing a plaid green shirt and brown pants. The boys had hazel, one looking very dark blue, and the other looking a very dark green. The taller boy had a striped red and brown shirt, and jeans, while the shorter boy had a red shirt and jean overalls.
"I'm going to get more balls than you!" The boy with the striped shirt challenged.
"Are not!" The other boy replied.
"I'm so glad you guys came!" Ronda beamed.
"Well, need to find some way to keep these boys busy, instead of pestering their grandma all the day long," the woman with the ponytailed hair replied.
"I'm still glad you came, Jean," Ronda said.
"Hm?" Carl questioned.
"This is my family, or at least part. That's mom," Ronda introduced, pointing to the elderly woman. "That's my oldest sister Jean," She pointed to Jean. "And those two are Mat and Dave. Dave is the older, taller one."
"See, told ya I'd get more balls than you!" Dave bragged, showing his scooper full of balls.
"No fair!" Mat glared.
"Be nice, boys," Jean rebuked the boys.
"Still, that means you both get prizes," Ronda said, counting the balls. She led them to the prize box. "Dave can choose from here to here, and you can choose from here to here." She pointed to the prizes they were able to choose based on the amount of balls each scooped up.
"Aw," Mat whined.
"Now, don't be a poor sport."
"But I wanted to win Astro Boy."
"I didn't win it either, Mat," Dave said, choosing a spider as his prize.
"I guess I can choose these," Mat sighed, choosing a bouncy ball and a yo-yo.
"How many balls does that require to win the Astro Boy toy?" A familiar voice asked, which the boys turned, their faces becoming blank.
"It requires 20 balls," Ronda replied offhandedly before seeing who it was, and her eyes almost blinking in surprise.
"Well, what do ya know," the voice replied, which happened to come from Yugi Moto himself, who had collected the exact number of balls in his little scooper. He walked over to the prize box, retrieved the Astro Boy toy, and gave it to Mat. "Here you go."
"A-Are you really Yugi Moto, the king of games?" Mat asked in excitement, then realized what just happened. "Is this for me?"
"Yep."
"Thanks a bunch!"
"Your welcome."
"That was very kind of you, Mr. Moto," Jean said, extremely stunned she was talking to the famous king of games.
"Call me Yugi. Mr. Moto is my Grandpa, and it is my pleasure," Yugi winked before leaving with a woman that had long, straight brown hair in a side ponytail with a butterfly braid.
"You wouldn't happen to have been flirting with that woman, would you?" The woman with the brown hair asked teasingly, who wore a short pink frilly skirt, a green shirt with pink dots all over it, green stockings, and black high heel boots.
"Yes Tea, I'm totally cheating on my fiancee right in front of her eyes," Yugi replied sarcastically as Tea laughed. "I thought you got over that jealousy phase when you realized the impossibility of a sixteen-year-old boy falling for a twelve-year-old girl."
"Now there! Says the guy, who got jealous of an infant hitting on me," Tea smirked, stopping, and placing her hands on her hips.
"Point taken, but Rebecca was more decent compared to Jouji. She at least kept her hands to herself."
"Excuses. Excuses."
"Oh my god," Yugi said, pinching the bridge of his nose, while his eyes closed and his head shook.
"What?" Tea asked, her eyebrows furrowed.
"My daughter is making the typical American girl look more modest."
Tea burst out laughing, rolling her eyes, seeing Jaylin at the Dance Team stand dressed as Dark Magician Girl. Tea said, "and who's famous for having that magician in his deck, might I ask?"
"Yes, but her breasts aren't watermelon sized!" Yugi cried out. Tea burst into laughter, so hard that tears were coming out of her eyes. It was a good thing that the area was noisy, or everyone would've heard what Yugi said. Though, a few people gave some glances, which made Yugi feel embarrassed.
Tea wiped her tears, then said, "you know Yugi, you amaze me sometimes, the things you see."
"Saw. I stopped watching porn a long time ago."
"Gee, I wonder why."
"Shut it."
The Dance Team's stand's activity was basically a dancing game. There was a large flat screen TV with an Xbox Kinect that could detect each player's dancing moves. There were two lines for each person to play against each other, and the winner won a little bag of treats. Each person had fun dancing and/or winning. Sometimes the kids would go back in line to try again.
When Tea arrived, Jaylin placed her fingers in her mouth to make a loud whistle, which got the dancers' attention. When they all saw Tea, they all cried out, applauding and whistling. Tea was a famous professional dancer in Tokyo after all. On top of that, she is Jaylin's former dance teacher. Tea walked over to the team.
"I can't believe you're here!" Jaylin almost screamed, hugging Tea tightly.
"Why would I miss something as exciting as this?" Tea grinned, then looked at Jaylin's outfit. "Dark Magician Girl, huh?"
"Yeah, they said I was the only girl with the right body," Jaylin blushed, which made Yugi sigh to himself, looking away.
"Say, how about you dance for us?" Crystal offered.
"Sure. Anyone want to go against me?" Tea offered, folding her arms.
"He does!" Everyone heard Atticus shout, pushing Zane out in front, which made him annoyed. Atticus was dressed as a pirate, and Zane was in a Dark Magician outfit, much to his embarrassment. Though, a bet was a bet, and he lost it, so now he had to wear a Dark Magician outfit to match with Jaylin's Dark Magician Girl.
"You're an asshole!" Zane snapped.
"I'll pay you 2000 yen," Jaylin smirked.
"I'll agree, if Yugi agrees to go against you first."
At that moment, everyone cheered, almost screaming at the top of their lungs as Yugi looked behind him, and began blushing a little. Crowds wasn't, and still isn't his thing. He sighed, then smiled at Jaylin, who showed a look of challenge. Yugi and Jaylin accepted the agreement Zane gave, and decided to have their turn. The crowd, who were in line, moved out of the way for Yugi and Jaylin to go up and start grooving.
Jaylin and Yugi started together, moving their bodies to how the dancers on screen were dancing. Both would be gaining points, depending on how perfect their moves were to fitting the style of the move. Despite everyone being slightly surprised that Yugi could dance pretty good, Jaylin still gained more points. This was expected, since Yugi was the king of games and not the king of dancing.
Everyone applauded and cheered aloud, while the duo danced, until they were done. Yugi laughed afterward, wiping the sweat from his forehead before him and Jaylin gave each other a high five. They stepped down, so Tea and Zane would step forward to start their dance. Yugi stood beside Jaylin almost casual like.
"Nice outfit," Yugi muttered as Jaylin rolled her lips inside her mouth awkwardly.
"Thanks," Jaylin replied after moments of silence.
Zane and Tea began dancing, points rising higher and higher for the both of them, seemingly being neck in neck. The crowd was screaming, Tea having the most joyous time. Zane was stoic at first, but then steadily began enjoying himself, being that he was being pushed to his limits. This was the first time Zane ever had a dance off against a professional dancer.
It was close, but Tea won, both panting. She laughed, telling Zane, "you're really good! Have you had lessons?"
"I had a private dance teacher when I was young," Zane replied. "I was taught professional dancing, including couple dancing."
"You know, there is a contest in Tokyo that will be starting summer next year, if you're interested."
"I'll keep it in mind," Zane replied as Tea nodded, showing her brilliant smile.
"You're wonderful, and you're Jaylin's dance teacher?" Lindsey asked.
"I am," Tea replied.
"Jaylin is absolutely talented. She continually surprises me with what she can do. How long have you been teaching her?"
"I believe since she was six."
"Really?"
"The young girl had lived a very hard life, and just moved into a new family during the time. I found she had such a high spirit, and enjoyed moving around. I thought maybe I could give her a few lessons. She grew to love it."
"That's so awesome!" Rachel replied, turning to Jaylin, giving her a smirk. "I bet you get to see the king of games a lot, being that you're the pupil of his fiancee."
"You could say that," Jaylin said, rubbing the back of her neck.
"When do you two plan on marrying?" Cindy asked curiously.
"I was thinking when my daughter graduates, but she persuaded me to marry her next summer," Yugi replied.
"WOW! I bet you're excited!" Crystal grinned.
"Very."
"So, besides visiting with your fiancee's former student, what brings you here?"
"Obviously to play a few games, and revisit my daughter."
"Did you see her yet?"
"Actually, I did."
"That's great! I hope you have fun for the rest of this festival!" Jaylin said as Yugi nodded, waving before him and Tea walked to the next stand.
Jaylin continued working with her team on the stand. The festival was fun for everyone, and soon it was time for lunch. Because the crowd was huge, everyone found a random place to eat at that spread throughout all three campus'. Of course, the Slifer Red campus wasn't a very popular eating spot. Despite this, Yugi and Tea found themselves walking along this area. Since there was only a few eating around this area, Yugi and Tea were able to sneak upon the rocks below the cliff.
"Why am I not surprised to find you here?" Yugi teased as Jaylin, who was sitting inside the cave below the cliff in her Dark Magician Girl outfit, rolled her eyes.
Yugi and Tea crawled inside the cave, Tea saying, "so, this is Jaylie's favorite hiding place?"
"Yep, the same as it was when Kaiba first bought this island," Yugi said as Jaylin blushed slightly.
"It was smaller than when I first came in here," Jaylin said.
"Oh my, I wonder why," Yugi smirked as Jaylin chuckled.
"Well, you were 10," Tea said, showing her small smile. She took a bite of sushi.
"I've been observing your grades this semester on the school's website," Yugi said, placing a hand on Jaylin's and squeezing it. "I'm proud of you, Princess."
"Thank you, Daddy," Jaylin grinned. "And thanks for coming."
"Your very welcome. I'll be happy for you to return home in time for Christmas."
"And the tournament?"
"Yes, that too, though mostly Christmas. I'm smelling your Christmas Fudge and cake already."
"Yum," Tea replied as Jaylin smiled brightly. Other than dancing, Jaylin was also an amazing cook, learning from her grandmother, than reading recipes. She eventually became the main cook of the house.
"Do you think Nightshroud can be kept at bay throughout winter break?" Jaylin asked.
"I'll make sure of that. For you, you can enjoy yourself at the tournament," Yugi winked as Jaylin smiled brightly.
"Thanks."
"Wow, these kebabs are out of this world!" Tea said aloud as Yugi and Jaylin laughed, continuing to mow down their food.
