Preparations for the Next Island
"Nice going Luffy! You just destroyed our best way to Alabasta!" Nami yelled as she kicked Luffy.
"Actually, Luffy did the right thing," Gin responded, "For all we know, she was trying to trick us into a trap."
"I hope we see her again!" Sanji yelled.
"Would someone explain to me what's going on?" Usopp asked, "Like, why is Ms. Wednesday with us along with this lady and a duck?"
The rest of the crew explained to Usopp and Sanji what was really going on.
"What? We're fighting a dangerous enemy!" Usopp yelled.
"Yep." Luffy replied.
"Why did you agree to this?" Usopp asked.
"We didn't have much of a choice. Once we found out who the boss was, the enemy made sure they can recognize us," Gin explained.
"Not Sanji and me! Why didn't you leave us behind?" Usopp yelled.
"Sure, leave two pirates in a town full of Bounty Hunters. That makes sense," said Zoro sarcastically.
"I can't believe you're a princess!" Sanji told Vivi with love intrest, "It's like a dream come true!"
"Say that again, Mr. Chef," Moi threatened cracking her knuckles.
"Relax Moi! Sanji is just being his idiot self," Zoro told her.
"Say that again swordsman?" Sanji threatened.
"Anyways… we should prepare for any threat coming up," Nami said, "That includes getting Princess Vivi started on learning how to use Haki."
"I'll teach it to you," Sanji yelled.
"We already agreed to have the captain teach her," Moi stated.
"Quack!" Carue agreeed.
"What? Why should I let that rough house idiot teach haki to someone as delicate as princess Vivi!" Sanji yelled.
"I'm not delicate," Vivi stated.
"I didn't like the idea of Luffy teaching Vivi either, but it was incisted," Nami explained.
"Okay! Time for Haki lessons!" Luffy yelled.
"Hey! Since we're on the subject about using Haki, the rest of us should train on using Haki," Zoro suggested, "We need to prepare for anything Baroque Works throws at us."
"Sounds good," Gin agreed.
"Might as well," said Nami with a sigh.
…
Vivi and Moi were standing at the deck of the ship in front of Luffy.
"Okay! To learn how to use Haki, you must first unleash Haki," Luffy said.
"How do we do that?" Moi asked.
"You'll see!" Luffy responded.
"Luffy! Be careful!" Nami warned.
"Yeah! Yeah!" Luffy responded.
"Be careful?" Vivi and Moi asked.
Luffy unleashed his haki flare on the two.
Vivi and Moi collapsed, but Moi was doing a better than Vivi.
"If you want to unleash Haki, you need to tap into your will power," Luffy explained.
"Vivi are you okay?" Moi asked.
"Yeah, I think so," Vivi responded.
…
Zoro Gin and Sanji were having a three way sparing match with their Haki.
Usopp was doing some target practice with his Haki and tools.
Nami was watching everyone and sighed.
"What's the point for me to practice! I don't even have a propper weapon that works with Haki," Nami said, "Maybe I can ask Usopp to make me something."
…A Few Days Later…
On an island resort, an odd man with his hair styled in the number: 3, and a young girl were relaxing.
"Mr. Three?" the girl asked.
"Wait a minute!" ordered the man known as Mr. Three.
Mr. Three sipped his hot tea.
"Hmm… Earl Grey is the best tea ever," Mr. Three said.
"Why are we so free?" asked the girl while holding a piece of paper she was reading.
"Why are you complaining? You don't like to work anyway," Mr. Three replied.
"That's true," she agreed.
"Then why don't you just enjoy your free time? Stop complaining. It's our right as officer agents to have this special kind of vacation," Mr. Three explaine, "Besides, would you quit calling me by my code name in public? Otherwise, people will know that I am Mr. Three of Baroque Works."
"Is that so?" the girl responded.
"You've been looking at that piece of paper for two or three days now. What is that?" Mr. Three asked.
"It's boss' orders," replied the girl.
"What? Why didn't you tell me, Ms. Golden Week?" Mr. Three yelled.
The girl known as Ms. Golden Week handed Mr. Three the sheet of paper.
"It seems that Mr. Five and his partner were defeated," Mr. Three read, "Hmph! I wished Mr. Two was the one defeated."
"Yes. So you would get a promotion," Ms. Golden Week agreed.
"Mr. Five was beaten up. That's not interesting. After all, he's just another person who is proud of his special power too much. Even though he has a powerful skill, he didn't use it wisely. What a waste," Mr. Three said, "Only the perfect criminal can create the perfect crime. We have to teach those people the lesson of being an enemy of our organization."
…
After requesting for a break Vivi relaxed and sigh.
Moi already started summoning Haki armor, which apparently was her best Haki power.
But Vivi was having a hard time summoning her.
"Are you okay?" someone asked.
Vivi turned to Nami.
"Yeah! I just didn't think learning how to use Haki would be so tough for me," Vivi explained.
"I can understand. I had the same problem when I started learning," Nami responded.
"Really?" Vivi asked.
"Yeah. I figured out that it was the stress of me trying to buy back my town from a pirate and buying everyone's freedom that was holding me back even though it was my inspiration to keep on going," Nami explained.
"I thought will power was the key," Vivi responded.
"It is, but if you have too much negative thoughts going through your head, your not really relying on will power," Nami explained, "Don't think about the outcomes, just do what you can."
"I guess that makes sense," Vivi responded, "It sounds like you have some experience."
"Well, in a lot of ways, each of us has something that held us back from reaching what we want," Nami explained, "We don't talk about it much, but we just know it."
"Luffy doesn't seem to be the case," Vivi replied.
"Well, Luffy has more experience than us, plus he isn't the type to think about stuff like that," Nami responded, "But I do think Luffy does have some kind of issue. He just doesn't talk about it very much."
"Hey everyone! How about we have a smoothie break!" Sanji offered as he carried out smoothies.
"Sounds good!" Nami agreed.
Sanji handed Nami and Vivi the first two glasses, but had everyone else grab their own.
Vivi remembered something she heard about Luffy.
"Whose Luffy's brother?" Vivi asked.
"Hmm?" Nami asked.
Vivi watched Luffy and Usopp were trying to get Carue to try the smoothie.
"I remember you guys mention a brother," Vivi replied.
"Oh! Well, Luffy had two brothers growing up: Ace and Sabo," Nami explained, "I don't know much about them, other than what I heard, but what I did hear was that they weren't blood related, but had a deep connection like brothers. One of them: Sabo, was a noblekid who ran away from home after couldn't take the life style his parents pushed on him. One day Sabo tried to leave home to become a pirate, but was killed before he could leave their hometown."
"That's so sad," Vivi explained, "Why did Sabo tried to leave?"
"That's a good question, but I'm not the one you should ask," Nami explained, "You should ask Luffy."
Carue finally tried the smoothie, and drank so much that he got a brain freeze.
"I guess so," Vivi responded.
"Hey look! A dolphin!" Luffy yelled.
They look to see a dolphin jumping out of the water right at them.
The only problem was that the dolphin was 10 times bigger than the Going Merry.
"Run away!" Luffy yelled.
"Aye aye catain!" the crew yelled.
The crew work together to dodge the dolphin.
…
After getting away from the 'playful' dolphin, and returning back on course, Nami saw the next island.
"There it is! The next island!" Nami announced, "We made it to the next island of the Grand Line!"
"Be careful guys! I'm just worried about what Ms. All Sunday told us," Vivi told everyone.
"Will there be monsters here?" Usopp asked.
"I don't know, but we need to find more food since we didn't buy any in the last town," Sanji responded.
"Let's go!" Luffy yelled.
A/N: I changed some of the chapter's chapter titles. They are the same as I originally had in the chapter, but I don't think it matters as they basically mean the same thing or just have a little bit more clues on the characters. Expect changes in the chapter titles, even after posting.
