The Prehistoric Island: Little Garden

Calling the island 'Little Garden' was an understatement.

The island was nothing but a little garden.

It was a giant tropical rain forest.

The Going Merry was going up stream, into the island.

"This place looks more like a tropical rain forest than a little garden," Moi commented.

"I've never seen these kind of trees before," Nami said.

There was a large screach that scared Nami and Usopp.

"What was that?" Nami asked.

"You're so cute, Nami!" Sanji responded.

"It was just a bird," Gin said.

"That's no bird!" Usopp yelled pointing.

They look where Usopp was pointing.

Actually it was a bird.

A strange bird with an actual tail (not just tail feathers) and claws coming off it's wings, but a bird.

"Is that suppose to be a bird?" Nami yelled.

"Not a bird I ever heard of," Usopp cried.

"I think I seen a bird like that in books," Moi said.

A huge tiger (like five times bigger than normal) came out of the forest and collapsed into the river, as it had deep life threatening slashes on it.

"This is not a normal forest!" Nami yeled.

"I've decided that we will not go on this island," Usopp said.

"Vivi, will the log post be able to memorize the island's magetic pull without being on the island?" Nami asked.

"It should! Just as long as we stay near the island," Vivi responded.

"Okay! Then I'll stay here and wait out for the log post to memorize the magnetic field," Nami responded.

"Sanji! Prepare a pirate's lunch box!" Luffy ordered.

"Why?" Sanji asked.

"I smell the scent of adventure," Luffy replied with his famous grin.

"Wait a minute! Don't tell me you're planning to go onto the crazy island?" Nami yelled.

"Adventure!" Luffy laughed.

"Don't try to tell him otherwise. He won't listen," Gin responded.

"Sanji! Lunch Box!" Luffy ordered.

"Okay! Just wait!" Sanji told Luffy as he headed into the Galley.

"Can I go with you?" Vivi asked.

"Sure!" Luffy replied.

"You two?" Nami yelled.

"That's right. If I don't do anything, I will keep thinking. I want to relax while I still can," Vivi explained, "After all, if I can't relax, I won't be able to release haki, right?"

"I did say that," Nami admitted.

"I doubt you'll get much relaxation with Luffy," Zoro said.

"I'll go with you!" Moi said, "I did promise Igaram that I would protect you, after all."

"Thank you Moi," Vivi replied, "Carue can come with us too."

"Quack!" Carue responded in total scared-shock.

"Looks like he doesn't want to go," Nami responded with a sweat drop.

"I'll prepare something for Vivi and Moi, too," Sanji said.

"Yes! And prepare a drink for Carue!" Vivi told Sanji.

After packed up and ready to go, Luffy Moi Carue and Vivi got off the ship onto the island.

"Let's go!" Luffy yelled.

"We'll be back!" Vivi yelled as she rode on Carue.

"Vivi is a brave girl," Usopp said.

"That's why she can sneak into an enemy's organization.

"I'm so bored. I think I'll go and take a walk too," Zoro said.

"I'm going too!" Gin said, "I want to try some moves I couldn't use on the ship."

"Yeah! This island does seem like a good practice grounds for Haki training," Zoro agreed.

"Are you serious?" Usopp yelled.

"Wait Zoro! Wait Gin!" Sanji yelled.

"What?" both asked.

"There's no food left. Can you two go hunging for some animals while you're training?" Sanji asked.

"Sure!" Gin agreed.

"Especially since you're too scared too do it yourself," Zoro responded.

"What?" Sanji yelled, "Hey! Wait a minute!"

"What?" Zoro asked.

"Are you saying I can't catch an animal bigger than yours?" Sanji asked.

"That's right!" Zoro agreed.

"Okay! Why don't the three of us compete then?" Sanji requested.

"I didn't even say anything," Gin said.

"The one who catch the biggest animal wins, and the loser has to do dishes for a month," Sanji suggested.

"Your on," Zoro agreed.

"Yeah! Why not?" Gin agreed.

The three of them got off the ship and headed their own way.

"Now those three are gone! Our strongest and best Haki Users left us," Usopp cried.

"We're doom," Nami cried.

"Maybe we should practice using Haki," Usopp responded, "Just incase we need to use it."

"Yeah! That is a good idea," Nami agreed.

There was brief silent.

"Do you want to practice using haki on each other?" Usopp asked.

"As if! I don't have a weapon or special skill that works well with Haki, unlike the rest of you!" Nami yelled, "Only thing I got that works with it is stealing."

"Yeah, and that only goes so far," Usopp agreed.

Usopp then realized something.

"Hey wait! If you want a weapon, I can make you one," Usopp said.

"Really?" Nami asked.

"Yeah!" Usopp responded, "I just need the right tools."

"I don't think we're going to get any tools on this island," Nami said.

"Oh, yeah! Maybe after the next island," Usopp responded.

They sat down and sighed.

"Wait a minute! I think I heard of this island before," Nami realized.

"Huh?" Usopp asked.

"It's familiar. Maybe in one of the books I read," Nami said.

Nami back up and headed to the girl's sleeping cooridors, which she now shares with Vivi and Moi.

Luffy found something in a pond, and pulled out a small squid like creature but with a spiral cone like shell on it's head.

"Hey Vivi! Moi! Look at this! This shell looks like an octopus. I will call it Octopus shell!" Luffy yelled.

Vivi took a closer look.

"This is an anomite," Vivi said.

"So it is octopus shell, right?" Luffy asked, obviously oblivious.

"That means the bird from before was an Archeopteryx," Moi responded.

"Ache-what-trips?" Luffy asked.

"Princess, you know what this means, right?" Moi asked.

"Yes!" Vivi agreed.

There was a large yet brief shake in the ground.

"What was that?" Moi asked.

"Whoa! How come there's a sea king on this island?" Luffy asked.

"Sea King?" Moi and Vivi asked.

They look to see Sauropod dinosaur (dinosaurs with the long necks and huge bodies).

"Dinosaur!" Moi and Vivi yelled.

"Dinosaur?" Luffy asked.

"Without of a doubt, this is an ancient island," Vivi said.

"Huh? This place is in the dinosaur era?" Luffy asked.

"Because the hardness of traveling in the Grand Line, each island will build an unique civilization and maintain that," Moi explained.

"When there is a high civilization island, there also is an uncivilized one that haven't changed for millions of years," Vivi explained.

"However, some animals and plants from different eras were able to grow in the same prehistoric island as those that might have been from a different era and adapt to live with each other," Moi explained, "That's why there are tigers and dinosaurs are able to live in the same island, even though there weren't tigers during the dinosaur era. There might be even dinosaurs that lived in different periods from each other on the same island."

"There weren't tigers during the dinosaur era?" Luffy asked, "Then how come we saw that tiger earlier?"

"I just explain why!" Moi responded.

"With the Atmosphere of the Grand Line, anything is possible," Vivi finished.

"Oh!" Luffy said.

Then he got a crazy idea.

"So this island is a prehistoric island. But why did Ms. All Sunday made it sound like we'll be on this island for a long time?" Vivi wondered.

"Maybe it was a trick," Moi responded, "Or maybe it has to do with the magnetic field of this island."

"Gum-Gum Rocket!" Luffy yelled.

"Huh?" Vivi and Moi responded.

Apparently Luffy had somehow stretched his arm to the neck of the dinosaur, and now has rocketed himself toward the dinosaur.

Luffy kept his grip on the dinosaur instead of letting go, like he usually do when he use Gum-Gum Rocket, and pull himself onto the dinosaur's neck.

Surprisingly, the Sauropod only reacted as if it got a very small stung on its neck and ignored Luffy.

"This is so cool!" Luffy yelled.

"Who told you to go up there!" Vivi yelled.

"Did he stretch?" Moi asked.

"It must be some kind of devil fruit power," Vivi responded.

Gin was face to face with a stegosaurus that was grazing.

Gin was mainly focus on the spikes on the stegosaurus' tail.

"Not worth it," Gin sighed, "There's no way that thing can fit in the Galley anyways."

He heard a series of rustling.

A couple dozen velociraptors came out of the bushes of forest.

"Now these are more my style," Gin said as he took out his his guns and focus his haki.

The velociraptors started coming at Gin and the Stegosaurus.

Gin sensed out the raptor's movements and focus Haki into the gun and fired at each raptor.

One by one the velociraptors were either killed.

Gin put away his guns.

"And I got some carry able food with me," Gin said.

Gin turned to the stegosaurus, which has returned to it's grazing.

"Why I saved this guy is beyond me though?" Gin asked.

The stegosaurus grunted, which Gin figured was a thank you.

"Don't take it lightly," Gin responded, "I was only catching my crew's next meal."

Gin counted the velociraptors, which came out to be an even dozen.

"Well, this might not win me the competition, but it would feed the crew," Gin said, "Now how do I take these back to the ship?"

Gin then got a good idea.

"Maybe you can repay the dept," Gin told the stegosaurus.

The stegosaurus snorted as it ate.

Sanji has kicked a tyrannosaurus rex to death.

"This will have to do," Sanji said, "No way Gin and that swordsman could beat this."

Zoro killed a triceratops.

"No way Sanji and Gin could beat this," Zoro said as he dragged the Triceratops off to the ship.

Sadly, of course, Zoro was going the wrong way.

Luffy was now on top of the Sauropod's head.

"This is a good view! Oh! There's a volcano! And over there is a big whole! Ooh! Look at that lake! I want to have lunch there!" Luffy yelled.

"Get off there Luffy!" Vivi yelled.

"Why? This guy seems to only eat vegetables!" Luffy yelled, "I don't think he even noticed me!"

Just then, something huge came out of nowhere and chopped the head of the dinosaur's head off, forcing Luffy to fall off.

But before Luffy hit the ground, the thing caught him.

Nami threw every book she had search through until she found the one she was lookinf for.

"Usopp! I found the book!" Nami yelled.

"Huh?" Usopp asked.

"We got to call everyone back! This is an emergency!" Nami yelled.

"What is it?" Usopp asked.

"This island is full of…"

Before Nami could answer, a giant shadow came out of the forest.

Luffy look up to see it was a giant human.

With this, most of the Straw Hats learned that this island was an island of giants.

A/N: Too make clear! There were no tigers during the dinosaur era. Tyrannosaurus did not appear until the last 5 million years of the Cretaceous period, and stegosaurus was only around during the early to mid of the Jurassic Period. And if you need to know what a velociraptors and stegosaurus look it up under dinosaurs.
