*Hi... I'm back... :D*

"Geez... It's really been three months since Christmas already..?" I sat splayed, spread eagle on the floor in front of the fire place. "I mean, it's what, three weeks until-"

"Yes, I know." Taka's mother smiled as she rolled her eyes at the food she was preparing in the kitchen. She'd listened to me rant, rave, and rattle on about the wedding that was, in fact, in three and a half weeks. "Have you two decided on a house yet?"

I sighed, lifting my arms to see the four houses Takashi and I had narrowed our search down to. We'd been shopping for a while, but he had no real preference. So of course- he'd left it to me. "No... It's just so hard to decide! They all have the classic architecture I love, they're all spacious, they're all relatively close to home, friends, and our respective colleges... How am I supposed to make up my mind?!"

"Well, go with your gut. It's a big decision, to be honest. I think that Taka should be helping you more. Where is he, anyway?"

"Uh, I think he's checking in with the venue, caterer and the hotels to see that everything is going smoothly."

"Didn't he do that last week?"

I grinned, "Yep. And the week before that, and the week before that, too."

"I'd almost think he's avoiding you- but there's no way. Not with the way he's attached to you."

My grin faded to a satisfied smile, remembering Christmas like it was yesterday. After the family's house- and getting Taka-chan addicted to Doctor Who- we'd spent a day in Chicago(just because we could) before returning to Japan to spend a few days with my fiance's family. Much more reserved than my family had been, we'd managed to get to sleep on time for the first time in weeks. They'd gotten me a delicate silver ring, the family crest carved into a flat face.

It was extremely simple, and I loved it. It was a mark of my joining their family.

After that, we'd washed our clothes from our trips and re-packed our bags for our third trip in a month. Going to Karuizawa with the hosts had been a lot less dramatic than I'd thought it would be. Especially with Tama-chan there.

I distinctly remember a very effervescent cross-dressing man, Misuzu I believe, absolutely going insane over Taka and I's engagement. He even threw us a sort of party. It was themed "Refreshing Love". For some reason, the host club all cringed at the word 'refreshing'. I shrugged it off. Mori had taken me for a tour of the town and the surrounding landscape, the rest of the host club trailing behind. I did a video entry for the family- an especially long one with lots of scenery and my friends being stupid- and then we'd gone home. Just three days long.

After that, it was wedding fever. Screw school, I was getting married!

As Takashi hadn't approved of my neglecting school, he was seeing to basically all the preparations while I focused on my studies. We hadboth already been accepted to schools, so that was done- but we did have to finish our last year of high school. As for the dress and the things Takashi couldn't/wasn't allowed to do, his mother was a huge help. She'd helped me do basically everything I needed done, and had been more than happy to help. Now though, Takashi and I had finished finals, and were going full blast wedding planners. All we had to do was go to graduation and then wait a week to get married. It was going to be fantastic.

But somehow, through out all the madness of the trips and school and planning and prepping- he hadn't left my side more than he absolutely needed to. His mother was absolutely correct.

"Hm... He has been taking an awful lot of time to do all this for me... Do you think he's stressed?" I asked her as I glanced halfheartedly again at the four houses I had to choose between, "Do you think I should be doing more?"

"Honey, what will he let you do?"

"Good point."

"If he wants to take on all this wedding stuff for you, it's because he wants you to be relaxed and happy. You know that every single thing he does he does for your benefit."

"This is true."

"So let him be a busy body! He prefers it."

"...He's not seeing to wedding preparations, is he?"

"...Hmm?"

"...He's getting me a present, isn't he?"

"...Uh, whatever could you mean, dear?"

"...He totally is."

"Oh ho ho, I highly doubt that he'd-"

"And I haven't gotten him anything yet."

"Now don't be so rash-"

"I'm going out! I'll be back soon with the perfect present!"

I shot upright and ran to put my shoes on, hearing her sigh behind me, still cooking, as I shut the door- "I can't believe she didn't figure that out sooner."
