"Who knows what these letters stand for?" He asked the group.

"Japan Tobacco?" Jacobi guessed. Everyone stared at her. "Not that I've ever used it."

"James Taylor?" Chace answered.

"No." Sebastian replied as he wrote some more letters underneath them. "Justin Timberlake. He started his career as part of the Mickey Mouse Club before he joined *NYSNC. He then become comparable to Diana Ross and George Michael in that he had greater success after leaving the group. For the assignment, you'll be performing any songs with Justin Timberlake on them, whether as a lead performer, feature, or member of *NSYNC. However, there will be no Lonely Island songs because they're not school appropriate. Who wants to go first?"

"Chace and I have been working on something." Mustafa replied.

The two of them stepped to the center of the room and Chace began to sing.

After school, Jasmine decided to go somewhere by herself. She wanted to buy a few Justin Timberlake CDs because she didn't know what song that she wanted to sing for the week.

"Ah Justin Timberlake." A guy interrupted. She looked up to see that he had long dark brown hair. "Hey, I know who you are. You're Jasmine Rodriguez from the Songbirds. I remember you as the girl that was in the hospital during Sectionals."

"Funny, I don't know who you are." She quipped.

"Robbie St. James. I go to Carmel High." He declared as he held out his hand for her.

"So you're the enemy." She stated.

"Don't think of me as a competitor. Just think of me as a guy who would love to get to know you." He suggested.

"You know I already have a boyfriend." Jasmine replied.

"High school relationships are very fickle." Robbie commented. "How would you like to have a friendly duet? It doesn't have to mean anything other than two people who enjoy music."

He grabbed a guitar off of the rack and began to play.

As they stood close together, she couldn't help but want to kiss him, but she knew that she had to resist. She walked away, unable to deny how turned on singing with him felt.

The next day Emerson went to find Chace in the hallway. His boyfriend was dressed up in his baseball uniform.

"I thought that you were going to quit the team." Emerson reminded him.

"I decided not to." Chace replied. "I can major in acting in college and still play baseball."

"I don't get you." Emerson declared. "Maybe the music of Justin will help you out."

At lunch, Jasmine met up with Aria. She had something that she needed to talk about that she couldn't say to Mustafa.

"So I have a problem." She explained. "Yesterday, I met this guy. We sang a duet together and I really liked it but aside from the fact that he's not my boyfriend, he also goes to Carmel High."

"Isn't that the school that we're competing with at Regionals?" Aria asked.

"Yes." Jasmine confirmed. "It's not easy to like another guy."

"What's this about?" Mustafa interrupted.

"Nothing happened." Jasmine explained. "We just sang a song together."

"Did you want something to happen?" He asked her.

"That's not the point." She argued. "I'm telling you that nothing happened."

He stormed away from her and she stood there, not sure why he was even upset.

That afternoon in Glee, he was singing a song by himself.

After everything was over, Jasmine decided to go to Carmel High and tell Robbie that she wasn't interested.

"So I see that you can't resist me." He commented.

"Robbie, you seem like a nice guy, but I can't do this." She remarked.

"Are you sure that's what you really want?" He asked.

"You know that there's no way that we could ever work." She pointed out. "We go to separate schools that will be competing at Regionals. Nothing good could come from it."

She turned to walk away, but he grabbed her and kissed her. She wanted to slap him, but instead she kissed back.

"Just give me a chance." He instructed.

She then walked away, now feeling very conflicted.

The following day, they were preparing their group number. Danny was singing lead.
