Wup. Loser here. Hey so… my updating is very unstable and stuff…. It's like when something comes it just does. What else… ummm-
Ruiko: Can we just go on with the story?
Author: *facepalms* Okay, now I have to put extra effort and put a name before a sentence just to know who's who just cuz of you. You are evil.
Ruiko: Hime-sama is nether evil nor good because Hime-sama is Hime-sama
Author: That doesn't even make sense. I can't believe I made you.
Ruiko: You're nothing without Hime-sama.
Author: There's no use arguing with you anyway so just go on with the disclaimer.
Ruiko: Good you finally realized. Loser ON Parole does not own Prince of tennis.
CHAPTER 6:
It was around seven in the morning and the day was nice and bright…
"Where's Hime-sama's water?" Ruiko demanded as she stared at the match in front of her, it was Ryo and Yuushi and Yuushi was winning. Some of the tennis club members were by her side aiding her in whatever she needed, running around whenever she wanted something.
"Her queen mode is… intimidating." Yuushi commented as he finished his match.
"I think it's her strength?"
The blue-haired tennis player raised a brow, "Even you seem unsure. I think she just needs a boyfriend."
Ryo roared with laughter, "Ruiko? Have a boyfriend? He'd rather be her servant than be her lover."
"I wouldn't mind being her lover." Then Ryo stared at his companion. What the fudge did he just say. The megane simply shrugged and continued, "Well, she's cute and nice and well… Hime-sama."
"I seriously don't get you."
Then an idea popped in his mind. "I've got an idea, call everyone to this dark and shady place and I mean the regulars, just not the Atobes."
"Dark and shady pla-"
"Just do it."
/IN THE DARK AND SHADY PLACE/
"Whoever gets to make Ruiko go on a date with him wins."
"But Ruiko-senpai is dating Yukimura-san, right?" Ootori asked.
"Usu."
"Not interested," Wakashi stated as he was headed to the door out of the 'dark and shady place'.
" Ah… Hiyoshi, don't be like that, whoever wins will get to be with Ruiko-chan anyway and she's single at the moment."
"I don't really like Atobe-san in that-"
But the next words reached his ears, "You can ask her to play a match with you." Hiyoshi wanted to play another match with her, after she defeated him on her first day of school. He stopped in his tracks and went back to the others.
"So are you saying that the prize in this is that you can do whatever you want with Ruiko on the date? Like a Rematch?" Ryo asked.
"More or less," Yuushi shrugged. "The time limit is until dismissal."
1st attempt: Gakuto Mukahi
"Ruiko-chan!" Gakuto came running as soon as he saw the pink-haired girl about to walk into her classroom. He forcibly pulled her and led her somewhere less crowded.
"Ne, ne Ruiko-chan, you wanna eat free food?"
"Free? Yeah sure."
"You wanna play in the park?"
"That would be nice."
"You wanna spend the day with me?"
"Why not?" she shrugged.
"You wanna go to the arcade?"
Ruiko thought for a moment… arcade… then she was reminded of her loss with Akaya. That was very embarrassing. It was the humility of the loss that made her swear not to step foot in an arcade ever again. "I'll pass," and with that she sprinted as far as she could to prevent further questioning, she would never ever reveal her loss to anyone.
Gakuto simply stared at her figure, wondering to himself how he failed in his attempt, but that doesn't mean he was giving up.
2nd attempt: Ootori Chotaro
Gakuto stared from a distance, staring as Chotaro waited for Ruiko to arrive. He was sure Chotaro would get the girl seeing as he was the nicest and easiest to approach among all of them, but no! If he didn't win, his underclassman wouldn't too.
As Ruiko got closer, Chotaro approached his female senpai and went with his plan.
"Ruiko-senpai! Are you free on-" Then a tennis ball hit his head. The two looked around and found no one there. Then he continued, "Are you free on-"
Another tennis ball hit his head.
"Wow Ootori-chan, having a bit of bad luck aren't you?"
He sheepishly scratched the back of his head and smiled at his senpai. "Actually I was wondering if you were-"
Now it was a racket.
"Ummm…. Ootori-chan, maybe you shouldn't stay in the open so much."
"I don't think that's it Ruiko-senpai."
"What were you asking me again?"
"Oh, I almost forgot will you go-"
And then another racket hit him, but this time the impact was harder, so he fainted.
Ruiko crouched down and poked the boy's cheek. There seem to be swirly things replacing his eyes. "Ootori-chan has angered the tennis gods." She pulled her palms together and silently prayed for the safety of her underclassman. "I hope the tennis god will forgive you with whatever you've done." She stood up and dusted her skirt. "Back to class."
3rd attempt: Oshitari Yuushi
Someone passed her a note in class.
Hello Hime-sama.
-Yuushi
Ruiko stared at her classmates and it wasn't Yuriko beside her… apparently it was Yuushi. She gave him a questioning look and looked around the classroom for her supposed seatmate. Then something caught her eye…
Below the desk Yuushi was using was a Yuriko with hearts for eyes. What the fudge Yuuchi?
The she passed him a note,
I cannot believe you.
-Ruiko
He gladly took the note and chuckled as he read it. He then gave her one of his own,
What can I say, she couldn't resist me and I bet you can't resist me too.
-Yuushi
He smirked at her as he saw her face distort into a disgusted expression.
Yep, you got it, I could never resist you Yuuchi.
-Ruiko
She stared at him seductively, she would play his game and he wouldn't even know it. His eyes widened as he moved his glances from the note to her.
Well that makes two of us.
-Yuushi
Then she laughed a bit. He was such a narcissist.
So can I at least know why you're here?
-Ruiko
He was quick to respond…
You know you want me here
-Yuushi
LOL, no I don't. But seriously though, why are you here in a second year classroom which is obviously not yours.
-Ruiko
Little did they know that outside the classroom, peering through the window was a dark figure still bitter about his loss. And no, he would not let the blue-haired tennis player win this one.
And before Yuushi could even give his note, the door suddenly opened…
"SENSEI!" it was Gakuto. "A 3rd year wandered to this classroom and is currently hitting on one of your students." He pointed to the person beside Ruiko and everyone turned to him.
All the bluenette could say was… "Damnit."
Gakuto grinned triumphantly and escorted his teammate out of the classroom and Ruiko just stared at them… clueless on what was happening.
4th attempt: Munehiro Kabaji
"Hi Kabaji…"
"Usu."
"Ummm… did you come here to tell me something?"
They were the only ones left in the classroom. And in Ruiko's mind this was a perfect scenario for a confession.
"Usu."
It was exactly like one of those otome games… it was just the two of them in the classroom and the wind was coursing through their hair.
"I'm sorry Kabaji, but can you tell me what it is? I'm kinda hungry."
"Usu…go…"
"What? Go?"
"Usu… out…"
"Go out? You could've just told me… I don't know what you're going through, but I hope everything will end just the way it should be," she smiled. She pats his back and she went off to the tennis courts.
Then he continued, "usu… with me…" the he sighed, defeated. He wouldn't know what to do in a date anyway.
5th attempt: Shishido Ryo
"So tell Hime-sama now why you want to challenge Hime-sama so badly." They were playing tennis and they didn't keep score.
"Because," he returned the ball. "This is the only way wherein I will not get nervous."
"Get nervous with what?"
"Ahhh damnit, you wouldn't understand." The ball landed on his side of the court. He took the tennis ball and went to serve.
"Of course Hime-sama won't understand, you're not telling Hime-sama anything. Hime-sama will not stand for this!"
Then he scowled, "Why can't you just understand without me saying it!"
"Hime-sama is annoyed." She hit the ball, "for the commoner's lack of ability to speak out his feelings."
"Damnit! This would be a hell lot easier if you weren't in your Inner Atobe mode."
"Hime-sama does not understand, but Hime-sama is willing to listen to Hime-sama's subjects." She performed a drop shot and ended their game. "But if the commoner wishes to be stubborn then so be it, Hime-sama will not force it out. You will come back to Hime-sama in the end anyway." Then she left, looking cool and smug.
"WTF?!"
"The faster you accept it… the better." Yuushi suddenly appeared.
"Uh-huh." Gakuto came out from his hiding place. Then the blue-haired tennis player stretched out his hand to his fallen comrade. "Join us."
"What-"
"If we cannot win, no one can," Gakuto said, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"I don't know what the hell you're talking about, but I'm leaving," he scowled.
"Nope… no you don't," and the two forcefully dragged him away to the next destination…
Akutagawa Jirou
6th attempt: Akutagawa Jirou
"Jirochi! Jirochi!" Ruiko called out. Jirou grinned, his target was coming to him. The tables have turned.
"Rui-chan! What up?"
"That's actually what I want to know… everyone's creeping me out. It's like they all want to tell me something, but it doesn't end well. Do you know what's happening?"
Jiro grinned, "I dunno, it must be the heat. But you know it's been awhile since we last hung out so why don't we-"
"ATTACK!" Yuushi and Gakuto went out of the bushes and with their water guns, they attacked the poor boy.
"Ummm… have fun Jiro…" They snickered, mission accomplished. Jiro was down and no one was left. As the two tennis players enjoyed torturing their friend, Hiyoshi ran into Ruiko.
"Ah, Ruiko-senpai." He bowed, "please go on a date with me to the tennis court."
"Date? Yeah, sure."
"Arigatou… Tomorrow after school, I already asked Sakaki-sensei if we could skip practice and he agreed."
"Really? He did?" Hiyoshi nodded.
"Cool. It's a date then."
1st success: Hiyoshi Wakashi
All of a sudden, it was as if Yuushi had super hearing as he rushed to the two. His shoulders slumped as he stared. He was defeated by his underclassman…
Then Hiyoshi smiled, he felt victorious.
And Ruiko never knew why.
