When her heart flies like that, when she's happy, the best part is she gets to be just herself. She can't help a smile, standing there, and looking down, and seeing her family – and seeing him.
She doesn't recall having been gazed with such intensity before.
And she thinks she'll have to get used to this, to them, because despite all that she is, all the hidden dangers she carries – he knows, he accepts, and he wouldn't change a thing of her.
So when she reaches him, and smiles, she sends a thought up.
