Anonymous Review 1: I know Jaden wasn't as sassy in the show?

Anonymous Review 2: It's not post cannon nor follows cannon completely. Aka, this is an AU based off of the anime. Technically speaking, Jaylin Yuki is more of an OC, but still is supposed to be a female Jaden Yuki from the manga with a different and fuller backstory. As for the plot: Jaylin Yuki, a registered student of Duel Academy and secretly the adopted daughter of Yugi Moto, who must stop three villains that reside in the Abandoned Dorm: Truman, Tragoedia and Nightshroud. Nightshroud is sending or possessing seven of his puppets to defeat Jaylin, whose powers are powerful enough to stop these three villains from conducting their plans that Jaylin and her friends have yet to learn. You might be confused, because you're reading this too fast. Try rereading it, then take a break after a few chapters to let it sink in. I've only recently been having these problems with my readers, because they start reading it after I've made about 40, 50 or 60 chapters. That's alot of story to be cramming into your brain for an entire day. Alot of things happened in this story that makes up an entire year. I'm guessing you're the same person, who mentioned that Jaden wasn't sassy. Practically all of my readers have realized this in about 5 chapters and each chapter wasn't posted until a month, which gives the readers time to let the single chapter sink in. You're having to figure this out in an entire day, which would ruin the big twists that reveal themselves.

Anonymous Review 3: Yeah. I did mess up on Enemy Controler's effect. I do apologize about that.

Anonymous Review 4: Actually, that effect does exist. In the manga, once Ocean is on the field, you could use it to attack the player directly. I copy and paste the effects of each card and, at the time, it said Umi had to be on the field. It could be an error, though I am keeping it, because I find it a much cooler effect.

This story is almost done. I'm practically hitting the climax. I am sorry for not reposting my stories lately. I've had surgery on my back and needed time to recover before continuing my fics. I'm back now, so glad to be back. Review please!

Everyone at Duel Academy saw the helicopter with the Kaiba Corp. logo, including the teachers. Dr. Crowler's jaw gaped slowly at the same time Chancellor Shepard's mouth gaped. There was no appointed time for anyone from Kaiba Corp. to arrive at Duel Academy. Something felt wrong and the teachers quickly rushed over to where the helicopter was landing.

The helicopter landed at a clearing near the diaha stage where Jaylin had a diaha against Atem earlier before Autumn. Jaylin stood on the stage as a familiar man in a wheel chair came wheeling himself forward, not being the least surprised to see Jaylin.

"Superintendent Kagemaru?" Jaylin asked with slightly widened eyes.

"Happy to see me? It's been a while. Last I saw you, you tried to feed my soul to a Leviathan," Kagemaru smirked as the students began muttering a few things.

"Feed your soul? What are you talking about!? She never-" Dr. Crowler glared.

"Save your blabbering for your students! I've got no time for liars being revealed or mopy dopy drama!"

"Can you tell me what you want?" Jaylin asked with a bit of sternness in her voice.

"I came here to finish what I've started. Since the Professor had failed proceeding our mission, I decided to finish it for him."

"Is there an offer Nightshroud has for you for doing this?"

"Perhaps, but it isn't like you will know. I might as well take you out first. I've been wanting this, since last summer, Miss Yuki. I don't understand why Mr. Kaiba still trusts you after what you did!"

"I was in a completely helpless situation! He showed me mercy and gave me a second chance!"

"Why, because your daddy was taken and left you in the middle of the interstate? Likely excuse, but I don't give a damn, sweetheart."

"I doubt it or you wouldn't have given out that piece of information. Though, I will humor you and stop you!"

"Then, you know what that means," Kagemaru smirked as he revealed a ring on his finger that showed the Eye of Horus. It began to glow and all of Jaylin's surroundings began turning dark. Jaylin's eyes turned gold.

Everyone was able to see the darkness this time, panicking a bit when darkness began clouding their surroundings. Zane gasped, looking around, while Alexis automatically felt sick and weak. Dr. Fonda looked like she was panting, clutching her arms. There were a few other students feeling this weak as well, but didn't know why.

"What's going on? What are you doing!?" Jaylin demanded, noticing some of the sick and weak students from the effects of the Shadow Game.

"I hope you become very familiar with this. Your father played a familiar Shadow Game against Pegasus. Since your darkness is strong, you should be able to handle the pressure of your monsters very well, though it will take toll on you after a while," Kagemaru smirked before the stage began splitting in two.

Jaylin stumbled back as a huge rock began slowly moving in between them. It broke in half, revealing a small case that automatically opened, revealing the Three Mythical Beasts. Jaylin glared a bit as Kagemaru took the cards and shuffled them in his deck. A smirk appeared across his face as Jaylin felt her darkness slowly being absorbed into those cards. It almost made her gasp.

"Oh crap..." Jaylin gasped, getting herself up.

"What's going on!?" Ronda gasped, falling to her knees. More students began gasping and falling to the ground. Chazz showed a grunt, falling on his knees and sweat pouring from his face.

"Ah, this is a lot better," Kagemaru sighed in relief as he stood from his wheelchair, then took his duel disk out and placed it on his arm. He placed his deck into the slot. "Let the games begin, Miss Yuki."

"Gladly!" Jaylin glared, turning on her duel disk.

"Don't waste your energy, Miss Yuki," Professor Banner warned Jaylin in her mind. His spirit was inside her at the moment.

"I summon Elemental Hero Frost Blade in defense mode," Jaylin declared as a small warrior with ice armor appeared boldly on the field in a defensive position. "Next, I throw down a face-down. That will be all for now."

Kagemaru drew his next card, looking at his hand. He declared, "I send three of my trap cards to the graveyard to summon Uria, Lord of Searing Flames!" The ground shook as the crimson red dragon burst from the ground where he was buried. Jaylin watched with her mouth gaped as the card of the dragon appeared in Kagmaru's hand.

"Do you realize what you've done!? This dragon is dangerous!"

"Is it just me or does that look exactly like Slifer the Sky Dragon?" Chazz wondered, looking up at the dragon, while trying his best to sit up from the ground.

"Of course he looks like Slifer. These monstrosities are all based off of the Three Egyptian gods, the fallen versions. Nightshroud, Truman and Tragoedia all gathered their power from Zorc himself and their hearts darkened and made their Ka's into these, just like how Diabound was also created through Zorc's power. The difference is that, while Bakura gained all of Zorc himself, these were made up of three parts of him and their forms based off of the Egyptian Gods. There's a reason Pharaoh Aknamkanon had a harder time defeating them. He gave his life to save his country from these, while his son finished the rest of Zorc," Kagemaru smirked as Jaylin glared, though could feel the black matter around her being collected by this monster. She almost gasped, realizing this monster was sucking the darkness into himself.

"What's going on? I feel... I don't feel so good," Ronda moaned, dropping on her hands as her eyes were beginning to slowly turn black.

"You have to stop this! This monster is hurting my friend!" Jaylin glared at Kagemaru.

"That didn't matter to you when you hurt my friends last summer. Why should it matter to me?" Kagemaru replied.

"You're right! That was wrong of me and I realize that, it doesn't give you the right to harm other people in the process. You're just repeating my mistake, if not worse!"

"You think I'm just going to let your words convince me otherwise? Think again! I'm not going soft like your Professor did. I'm going to finish what Nightshroud started!" Kagemaru said coldly. "Because the three trap cards were continuous, this gives Uria 3000 attack and defense points. He also has a second effect. Uria can destroy a spell or trap card you control and he shall destroy that face-down of yours!" Uria, Lord of Searing Flames blow a fireball from its mouth and blasted Jaylin's face-down card. "He now destroys your Frost Blade!"

Uria, Lord of Searing Flames took a huge gulp of breath, then shot fire from its mouth at Elemental Hero Frost Blade. Though, he wasn't destroyed.

"What?" Kagemaru glared, then checked the description of the card, reading it, then saw 'cannot be destroyed by battle by a Level 4 or higher monster (damage calculation is applied normally).' "Damnit!"

Jaylin felt herself feeling out-of-breath. The monsters feeding off of darkness was making it hard for Jaylin to stand on her own. The good news was that her powers were strong, so this damaging her will take longer. Though, Ronda was still suffering and Jaylin knew that she had to act cleverly and quick. Chazz also seemed to be suffering as well and she knew why. She could feel sweat dripping down her face as her heart beat rapidly.

"Jaylin, are you okay!?" Carl cried out as Jaylin turned her head and saw her roommate and the entire student body watching with horrorfilled faces.

"I'm fine!" Jaylin assured with a smile smile, then stared down at her feet, speaking quietly. "I think."

"I think I'm gonna pass out," Crystal panted, sitting on the ground as her eyes seemed to go back and forth from blue to black to a grayish black.

"Hold on, Crystal! I've got cha!" Ms. Lindsey said, helping Crystal lie down. "Did you know you had dark powers?"

Crystal shook her head in fear, tears leaking out. She choked, "am I gonna die?"

"Nobody is going to die!" Everyone heard Jaylin shout, her eyes glowing gold, whose shine seemed to not be as bright as in the past. "I need all of you with dark powers to stick together! Share your powers with each other! You have to keep your powers at the same level or you all are going to die!"

"What about you!?" Doctor Crowler asked, looking like he was having a panic attack.

"I've got someone with me!" Jaylin promised, feeling Professor Banner's darkness helping keeping her stable. They both were sharing their darkness to keep each other stable. They had to or they both would cease to exist.

"I've always been curious how you can be so caring, and yet so cold," Kagemaru said as Jaylin kept her composure. "I've wondered that about Mr. Kaiba as well."

"I find it interesting that you compare me to Kaiba, of all people," Jaylin replied, drawing her next card. "First, I play Pot of Greed." Draws two cards from her deck to her hand. "Then, I play Polymerization to fuse Frost Blade with Stratos to bring out Elemental Hero Great Tornado!"

Elemental Hero Frost Blade jumped into the air and fused with Elemental Hero Stratos in the light. Out came the one and only Elemental Hero Great Tornado. Uria, Lord of Searing Flames' attack and defense points dropped to 1500. Jaylin smirked with a grin upon her lips.

"My Great Tornado now attacks Uria!" Jaylin declared excitedly as Elemental Hero Great Tornado created a tornado and it sucked up Uria, Lord of Searing Flames, who was caught in the whirling winds, then bursts from the fields. Kagemaru was left with 2700 life points remaining.

Jaylin felt a sigh of relief as she no longer felt anything sucking away her darkness. She looked back for a quick moment to check on everyone. It seemed that everyone had done what she had asked. The students and teachers that were of darkness huddled together. It was then that she realized that Alexis was sweating and seemed incredibly tired without any improvement. It seemed to be the same for some of the other students that had fallen weak when the Shadow Game began, including Dr. Fonda. Other than those students, Jaylin was glad everyone was okay.

Focusing back on the field, Jaylin saw Kagemaru with slightly furrowed eyebrows as if he was trying to figure out something. Jaylin wasn't going to reveal anything behind her golden eyes. A chuckle escaped from Kagemaru's mouth, slowly turning into a smirk. Jaylin had not reacted to this at all. Everyone else did though, trying to figure this guy out.

"You are right, young lady," Kagemaru smirked slightly, Jaylin still not reacting. "It should be interesting to compare you to Kaiba. I should be comparing you to Yugi." Jaylin's expression changed, her eyebrows rising with confusion, while everyone else looked up with wide eyes. "You share a lot in common with him, despite not being related to him. You love and are protective of everyone around you, even those that are not your friends. At the same time, you both hold a strong power that your reincarnates chose you specifically to use as you wish, said power that both of you took years to control. Your compassion and kindness, no doubt, comes from him. I saw it from the first day you came to work for Kaiba. Corp. It shouldn't be that surprising to learn that you were adopted and cared for by Yugi when your parents could not."

"Wait WHAT!?" Jennifer cried in shock, looking at Jaylin. "You're adopted, by the king of games!?"

"But wait, Yugi and Jaylin are practically of the same generation. They're only years apart by 15 years!" Carl pointed out with widened eyes.

"The age of adoption is age 20 and Yugi adopting a little girl was all over the News," Atticus replied as everyone's eyes widened, slowly moving toward Atticus. "All of you were very young at the time, but..."

"I remember something about that when I was young," One of the Seniors said as a handful of them started muttering to themselves.

Chazz looked up at Jaylin. Something dawned on him. He said, "if Jaylin Yuki had been raised by Yugi, then... she might actually be the only duelist capable of becoming the next King of Games." It was as if Chazz's realization knocked him senseless. Everyone knew that those words were more true than words could count.

Being the next King of Games was like a dream or something impossible to obtain, but Jaylin actually had a chance. She had dueled Yugi more times than anyone else. She knew Yugi's secret moves, combos and heart. There was no way anyone else could deny this little fact. Jaylin had a bigger chance in taking Yugi Moto's title than anyone else in the world.

Everyone went silent as Jaylin flushed at Chazz's words. She then smiled, her bright smile flashing at the student body, as she replied, "no one can take my Daddy's title. He's the King and I'm the Princess."

"Heh, Jaylin Yuki, the Princess of Games. You'd certainly be reaching the little girl demographic," Kagemaru practically mocked as Jaylin smirked.

"Well, I've always had a soft side for children. I believe it's your turn."

Kagemaru drew his next card, then glanced at it. He declared, "I use the effect of Uria by placing a continuous trap, Chain Burst, in the graveyard to bring back Uria." He placed his continuous trap in the graveyard and Uria, Lord of Searing Flames returned back on the field. Its attack and defense points rose to 4000 due to its special effect before being dropped to 2000 attack and defense due to the effect of Elemental Hero Great Tornado. "I also bring out a little surprise of mine, Back-Up Rider, to give my Uria an extra 1500 attack points until the end of this turn." Uria, Lord of Searing Flame's attack rose to 3500. "He attacks your Great Tornado!" Uria, Lord of Searing Flame took a huge gulp of breath, then burst flames from its mouth and onto Elemental Hero Great Tornado. It burned to ashes before bursting from the field. Uria, Lord of Searing Flames' attack and defense points rose up to 5300.

"Crap," Jaylin cringed as her life points dropped to 3300. She bent over and held her knees, while panting. Uria, Lord of Searing Flames was feeding off of hers and the school's darkness. If she didn't destroy this monster, it was going to destroy everyone or at least the dark users.

"Keep going, Jaylin. You're doing great," Jaylin heard Professor Banner as she nodded.

"I end my turn!" Kagemaru declared. Back-Up Rider was placed into the graveyard, then Uria, Lord of Searing Flames' attack dropped to 4000 before Jaylin drew her next card.

"I play Spellbook Inside the Pot," Jaylin declared as she and Kagemaru drew three cards. "I play Monster Reborn to bring back my Great Tornado!" Elemental Hero Great Tornado instantly was brought back to the field. Due to its effect, Uria, Lord of Searing Flames' attack and defense points drops down to 2000. "Great Tornado attacks Uria again!"

Elemental Hero Great Tornado attacks Uria, Lord of Searing Flames with a great whirlwind. The monster was instantly destroyed and Kagemaru was left with 1900 life points remaining. Jaylin, once more, felt a great relief once the monster left the field. Though, something told Jaylin that this would not end. She knew that Kagemaru would only use that third effect to resummon that monstrosity, which he will soon do.

"You are foolish to think that destroying Urisa a second time would get rid of him for good," Kagemaru smirked as he resummoned Usia, Lord of Searing Flames once more by discarding another continuous trap. This raised Usia, Lord of Searing Flames' attack and defense points to 5000 before lowering down to 2500. "I also activate Pot of Greed." He draws two cards from his deck to his hand. "Then, I activate the field spell Fallen Paradise." The entire field began looking like an animal graveyard and feeling cold. Jaylin checked out the effects of this field spell. As long as any of the three Legendary Beasts were on the field, the controller of that card can draw two cards during each of his first main phases. Because of this effect, Kagemaru was able to use it to draw two cards, after activating Fallen Paradise. "I set three cards face-down, then I shall send them to the graveyard, Abyssal Designer, Monster Reincarnation and Premature Burial to summon Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder!"

Jaylin gasped as the Winged Dragon of Ra look-alike was instantly summoned and began looking down at her with pure anger. She felt her darkness slipping once more, only twice as hard. She looked behind her and saw that everyone with dark powers were feeling the same effect. Chazz instantly gasped, then passed out, but not before his eyes showed a bit of gray in them. Those with lower levels of darkness passed out, including Crystal. These things were true monsters. Jaylin felt the pressure building on her to save everyone from these beasts.

"Since I summoned a monster during the turn Uria was summoned, he is not allowed to attack. You should consider yourself lucky," Kagemaru smirked.

"Hamon and Usia still have a lower attack than my Great Tornado!" Jaylin glared.

"Perhaps, but I still have more up my sleeve. This isn't over, Miss Yuki. I shall destroy the true beast of this island."

Jaylin's eyebrows furrowed once more, her golden eyes shone, though slightly dully. The rest of the student body were shaking in fear, hoping to somewhat get through this duel. Some hoped for Jaylin to save them, while others wondered how great of loyalty Jaylin held. After all, Jaylin was no hero they can depend on to save them. She was a human being that could turn cold and evil in a quick second.

All it had taken was a little push.
