There is also the prequel Yu-Gi-Oh DA Last Summer. I'd like for both to happen at the same time, though we shall see how things turn out. For now, enjoy and review please!

The Graduation Duel ended in a draw as the audience applauded for Jaylin Yuki and Zane Truesdale. They shook hands, exchanging smiles. This would be Zane's final year at Duel Academy and Jaylin's beginning. Jaylin knew she would miss Zane and he felt the same way. This would be the start in his path to adulthood. It was a path Jaylin would soon enter in only three more years.

Zane remembered his first year with his two best friends before the Abandoned Dorm was claimed by three demons. After it happened, he spent his entire high school years without anyone believing him, while feeling regret and resentment. Jaylin had came to Duel Academy and gave Zane hope during his final year, willing to fight back for the students that disappeared in that Abandoned Dorm.

Jaylin, Atticus and Zane exchanged a bittersweet group hug. Atticus said, "we'll miss you, man."

"Please get Fuji back for me," Zane said with a bitter, yet sad smile.

"We will," Jaylin promised.

"And Jaylin..."

"Yes?"

"Look after Syrus for me. I'm not going to be there for him like before."

"Count on it," Jaylin replied, looking determined.

"You look after yourself," Atticus said.

"I will," Zane replied, chuckling slightly. "You both have three more years ahead of you and this fight isn't over."

"We'll be ready for anything," Jaylin promised.

"And maybe I'll get a kiss?" Atticus asked, grinning.

Jaylin chuckled, rolling her eyes before kissing Atticus on the cheek. He grinned excitedly in response. Zane snorted, rolling his eyes. He knew that relationship wasn't going to last long. Jaylin was the type that experimented to find someone worthy of her. Atticus didn't seem to be someone that would be considered worthy.

"Let me know how long this relationship will last," Zane whispered in Jaylin's ear. Jaylin snorted, chuckling as Atticus frowned.

"What did he say?" Atticus asked, showing furrowed eyebrows.

"That, you will have to find out yourself," Zane smirked before seeing the ship dock. "And, that will be my ticket home. So long." He waved and walked to the ship.

"No fair! Jay, what did he say to you?" Atticus asked with pleading eyes.

"You wanna know?" Jaylin asked, showing a slight smirk.

"Yes."

"Very well. It's..." Jaylin replied, ruffling Atticus' hair. "Race ya to the fishing docks!" She took off.

"Hey!" Atticus glared in annoyance as he began running behind before tripping. "No fair!"

Jaylin ran backwards, sticking her tongue out before running up the hill toward another part of the island where everyone fished. From there, she saw Syrus, who turned, then smiled.

"Hey Sy! Ready to go fishing?" Jaylin asked excitedly.

"Yeah, big sis?" Syrus replied.

"Big sis? We're practically the same age."

"I overheard you and Zane. I'm going to miss him."

"You'll be fine. I'll always have your back," Jaylin promised, taking Syrus by both shoulders.

"Thanks."

"Is... Is this running really... necessary?" Atticus asked, panting. Jaylin and Syrus laughed before getting the boat ready for the three of them to go fishing.

It was the end of the first year and the beginning of their upcoming Sophomore year.
