The Story of Drum Island
Moi decided it was best to stay behind so it was decided that Luffy would carry Nami.
Moi placed Nami on Luffy's back, and Vivi fasten Nami so she wouldn't fall.
"Are you sure about this?" Gin asked Moi.
"It's best only few of us go incase something goes wrong," Moi responded.
"Makes sense," Sanji responded.
"We sill wait here," Vivi said.
"Alright! Nami stay on me!" Luffy said.
"Uh-huh," Nami manage to say.
"I should warn you, there are meat-eating Rapans on the mountain. They look like rabbits, but don't let that fool you, they're really powerful," Dadan responded.
"Don't worry! I can take them easy!" Luffy laughed.
"You do realize you can't fight while carrying Nami, right?" Sanji asked.
"I'll deal with the taming," Gin responded.
"Since when you know how to take animals?" Usopp asked.
"I did more than killed raptors back in Little Garden," Gin responded.
"Cool!" Luffy responded, "Then let's go before Nami dies!"
Luffy raced off.
"Hey wait!" Sanji yelled.
"Why does he have attendency to do that?" Usopp asked.
"We better go with him," Gin responded.
Gin and Vivi raced after Luffy.
"Will they be okay?" Dalton asked.
"Don't worry! Those three are very strong," Usopp responded.
"Yeah but will Nami make it?" Vivi asked.
They waited for a while, not knowing what to do.
"It's cold out here. Why don't you go inside?" Dalton offered Vivi Usopp and Moi.
"It's okay. I want to stay out here," Vivi replied.
"Me too!" Usopp agreed.
"Me three," Moi agreed.
Dalton smiled and sat down.
"Actually there used to be many doctors in this town. But for some reason, all the doctors are gone," Dalton said.
"Huh?" Vivi responded.
"About 2-3 months ago, this country was destroyed by a group of pirates," Dalton continued.
"What?" Vivi responded.
"Destroyed?" Usopp yelled.
"So that's why you were mean to us," Vivi responed.
"Yes. Everyone still remembers how cruel those pirates were," Dalton explianed, "There were only five pirates in that group. Their captain was known as 'Blackbeard'. Our country was destroyed in a short period."
"Are you kidding? Your country was destroyed by only five ourates?" Usopp asked.
"I think I heard of him? He was suppose to be a former member of the White Beard Pirates," Moi responded, "A pirate captain that was said to once rivaled Gold Rogers 22 years ago."
"Are you serious?" Usopp yelled.
"That maybe so, but some people say that it the destruction of our village was a good thing," Dalton said.
"Good? What so good about your country being destroyed?" Vivi asked.
"That's right! Is that really true?" Usopp asked.
"It was all because of the government being very cruel to the people. This country used to be known as the Drum Empire, and the name of the King was Waparu!"
"Wapol!" Vivi Usopp and Moi yelled.
"You know Wapol?" Dalton asked.
"It's more than that. He and his crew attacked us, but I drove him away," Usopp replied.
"He asked about a place called Drum Empire," Moi said.
"That must be him. When I was young, my dad took me to the King's conference, and I remember meeting someone," Vivi explained.
"King's conference? Why were you there?" Dalton responded.
"Well, let's just say my dad had a job there," Vivi said, "But I would guess he would be coming here."
"Is that true?" Dalton asked.
"What's going on? Why would he sail under a pirates flag?" Moi asked.
"And why didn't he do anything when his country was attack?" Vivi asked.
"He became a pirate to disguise himself. Wapol escaped from here just to wait until the right time to come back," Dalton explained.
"So his crew are the armies being chased away from the island because they lost a battle?" Vivi asked.
"Lost Battle? You've misunderstood," Dalton explained, "The truth is that those armies didn't even think about protecting their country."
"Huh?" Vivi responded.
"When they knew that those pirates were too strong to fight, they just ran away from the island! Even Wapol escaped with them!" Dalton explained, "That is a shame for our country. Everyone was sad and disappointed."
"How can a king do this to his people?" Vivi asked.
"Vivi," Usopp responded.
"That's too cruel. A king left his people without worrying about them," Vivi responded.
"It is cruel. However, Wapol's reign has ended. The island belongs to everyone who doesn't give up. They started to develop a better country," Dalton explained, "Our most horrible fear is the return of Wapol. If he comes back, he comes back to reclaim his throne. That's why we have to stand up and fight. To build a peaceful nation on this island."
Vivi, Usopp, and Moi understood what Dalton was saying.
