Is Danger Over?
"I feel like it IS my fault, though," I say, leaning against Raph, tears threatening to roll down my cheeks. "I should have been able to stop it. Dragons aren't meant to be messed with and I just let him. I put the dragon breed in dirt every second I let someone ride my back."
"Don't say that," Raph answers, looking into my eyes. "You don't put the dragons' breeds into dirt. You don't have to hold up the reputation all dragons have; you can make another reputation for them and set an example for them to follow." His lips meet mine, wrapping his arms around my waist.
I kiss back, my arms wrapping around his neck as my now-blue eyes close.
Raph's lips move to my neck, making a smile come to my face. "Still think you're putting the name of all dragons in the dirt?"
"No," I answer softly, smiling and moaning as quietly as I can. "You always know how to make me smile, Raph."
His hands start tickling my sides, trying to make me laugh.
"Not that easily," I say, biting my tongue to hold back the laughter. "But I know you'll find a way." When he keeps tickling my sides without any success, he moves higher, trying to find my ticklish spot.
While he's busy on his quest, I steal his Sais and get up, backing up a few steps. "Not cool, babe!" The tough turtle stands and charges toward me, having me flip over him and land as a wolf. "Give me SOME warning." He throws down a ninja smoke bomb and disappears.
I look around, gripping the Sais tightly in my mouth, gasping of surprise when Raph's hands wrap around me and pick me up. "No fair," I pout, sliding his weapons into their sheaths.
"Just like it's not fair when you changed form?"
"Fine. I won't change anymore." I turn into a human in the tough turtle warrior's arms before wrapping my arms around his neck carefully.
"I didn't mean you can never change again, hon."
A realization hits me. "How come you can call me a pet name but I can't call you one?"
"Because I said so." His statement makes me frown.
"No fair, honey." Raph scowls at me playfully at the 'honey' remark. "What? You call me that!"
"I have a reputation to uphold."
"Weren't you the one that said, 'you can make another reputation and set an example for them to follow' earlier? I have a reputation to hold as a ferocious dragon, then, if you have a reputation to uphold." I cross my arms and back up a few steps, turning into a dragon.
"Fine," Raph huffs, putting his hands up, "I'll create a new reputation."
"Good, honey." Raph's arms wrap around me, pulling me closer when something falls at the entrance, having me automatically turn into a dragon. "Who's there; show yourself!"
A human child appears, his scrawny hands up in the air. "Please don't hurt me. I was just looking for the one I've heard the name of: Faith."
Looking to Raph before returning my gaze to the grey-and-black haired boy, I cautiously and slowly turning back into a human. "I'm Faith."
The boy runs and hugs me, eyeing Raph. "You have to help me, Ms. Faith."
I wrap my arms around him in a hug, holding my hand out to Raph. "What do you need help with, buddy?"
Raph wraps his arm around me, standing right by my side.
"I'm dying, miss. Aliens kidnapped me and experimented on me; I don't know what they did, but I know they're killing me."
"Not on OUR watch," Raph says, reaching a hand out to the black-eyed boy. "We promise: We're going to fix this."
"My friend's right," I agree with Raph, "we're going to try our very best to protect you."
"Thank you, Miss Faith. My name's Ryan: Ryan Meadow."
"It's nice to meet you, Ryan. This is my friend: Raphael; well, boyfriend."
When we're all introduced, Raph and I take Ryan home and go to TCRI… where we get a nasty surprise.
What's the surprise? What did the Kraang do to poor Ryan? Is he telling the truth or is he hiding something? Find out next!
