Labor
Having triplets is still too much information to take in. "Three children," I repeat, resting my head in my hands.
"Congrats, dude and dudette," Mikey yells, cheers being heard.
"Thanks, Mikey," I shout back in response, holding my stomach in pain.
"Are you OK," Raph asks, wrapping his arm around me.
"It's time," Don answers, rushing to the doorway. "Bring her to the lab!"
Raph and Don run side by side, rushing me to the lab.
"Put her on the table," the science-y turtle orders, ending up with me on the table. "I might need to do surgery to get the babies out safely."
"Do what you must," Raph says, seeing me in excruciating pain, "Anything to help Faith."
Donnie grabs the tools he needs and knocks me out, starting the surgery.
After what feels like weeks, the crying of three baby children wakes me up.
"Two boys and a girl," Raph says, holding one in his arms with a smile.
"They're so cute," Mikey says, holding a boy in his arms while Leo holds the other. "Congrats, you two!"
"What do you want to name the girl," Raph asks, looking at the green-eyed female in his strong arms that's playing with the tails of his bandanna.
"How about Hope," I answer, smiling as Raph sits by my side with our daughter.
"Hope's a perfect name," Raph says, holding Hope so we can both gaze into her eyes.
"You can name one of the boys," I say, looking to Mikey and Leo holding our boys. "We'll name the other one together."
"How about Hunter," the new father says, looking to the blue-eyed boy Mikey's holding.
"Great name," I reply, looking to Hunter and Mikey. "Now just to name the other little bundle of joy."
Raph and I come up with the name together: "Raphael Jr."
Hope, Hunter and Raphael Jr fall asleep a few minutes after each other.
