Two weeks, it had been two weeks since the battles against King Naruto and the day that he had lost everyone had been forced back to Earthland by the Anima. Naruto had taken a whole week to recover from just the destroyed skin, which had completely burned off of his body at that point, while he still had a busted up leg and damaged ribs with his left arm messed up. In those two week the people of Fairy Tail spent mourning the loss of both Happy and Gajeel, who had been buried in the fairy tail cemetary with a funeral most of the guild had attended. Nothing could have been done to save either of them sadly, and because of this Naruto blamed himself completely for this entire thing happening.

Not even the return of that white hiared younger sister of Mirajane's could really bring up anyone's mood very much, but it did lessen the hurt they were feeling slightly. Lisanna herself, the younger sister to Mirajane and Elfman, had been devastated at the death of Happy and the injuries that Natsu had obtained. His damaged magic container would repair itself in time, but using magic at all for him right now was dangerous. Wendy had healed him up the best she was able, but she had never had to heal a magic container before, so it was something she didn't feel safe doing in large healing sessions. Wendy hadn't been as effected by the deaths as Naruto had been, simply because she hadn't sworn she would have killed King Naruto like Naruto had.

She didn't fail.

She had healed Gray's hands, repaired the damage done to Erza, and fixed everyone of their external injuries that had suffered them.

She succeeded in her job as a medic, and she didn't blame herself for the deaths of either guildmates because they had been dead long before she could get to them. Naruto asked her, and she had told him that as long as you remember the good times with them, they aren't really dead. Naruto couldn't believe it though, since she didn't fail to avenge them, to keep her promises like Naruto had. He had sworn to himself that he would murder King Naruto, but he couldn't do it, he had been far to weak and blacked out. He had used what he had dubbed the Byakko Mode: Version Two and lost complete control of himself, and from what he remembered people lived on the floating islands. He had been told a powerful blast destroyed those islands... meaning that it was his fault that thousands or even more people had been killed that day.

Naruto couldn't bring himself to look at everyone, he wanted them to beat him up, to hurt him for failing... yet nobody even so much as touched him for failing to avenge a fallen comrade. They were understanding and kind, telling him that he was just a kid and that he shouldn't be to hard on himself, that if this King Naruto had defeated Erza so easily as well that he was too strong for a lot of people to take on. Naruto knew he couldn't beat Erza in a fight true, but he actually had the advantage against King Naruto. He knew his weaknesses, and could use them against him, and his own durability allowed him to take the blows better than Erza... yet he still lost, and would have died if not for Juvia.

He was always being saved, by Erza, by Wendy, by Juvia, by Saber and them, and even by another version of himself.

He was far to weak, even though he defeated a dragon he had never done it alone. He always had help, Wendy boosting his fighting skills with borrowed magic from others, or fighting with the Fanalis against a dragon. Yes, he might have done most of the work, but he defeated two dragons with help and that was what counted. He could have never done it when he was on his own, he always had to rely on others to be his strength.

He hated his own weakness, he couldn't stay weak anymore when people were after him.

"Are you sure you want to do this, I may not like any of them, but they are your friends?" Morgiana questioned Naruto gently as she had his arm over her shoulder to support some of his weight, his one leg still pretty injured from the fight awhile back. Naruto looked up at the clear blue sky, wishing that it was raining to reflect his mood, and he smiled very sadly.

"I'm sure, as long as I'm there I can only bring them sadness... you were right, Fanalis and humans shouldn't mix together. We only hurt each other in the end." Naruto whispered lowly. If he was the reason that his allies were so hurt, then he would leave without saying goodbye to them. He would end the pain he was bringing them just by being there, and he would do it by leaving them without giving them the chance to stop him. He knew that if he saw Juvia, Erza, or Wendy asking him to stay, then he would rethink his choice. He had gone so far as to burn the mark of Fairy Tail off his arm, severing his ties to the people that had once brought him joy. He couldn't even look at that mark, not now, and maybe not ever.

He had failed, and he was punishing himself for it.

He refused to ever fail again, he was going to train and get stronger than ever before. He would find a way back to Edolas then and rip King Naruto to shreds, he would avenge his comrades who died for a man's selfish desire. He would bring justice to them, because if Gajeel was alive then Naruto knew he would want to be avenged. He was going to owe up to his failure, and use it to motivate him to become stronger than he could ever dream of being.

"I will tell you the truth, this choice makes me happy. Those people, while nice, weren't right for you. I am a little disappointed though, I wanted to beat that little girl down before leaving." Morgiana admit to her own feeling on the matter, stating clearly how she felt about her unresolved conflict with Wendy. Both Naruto and Morgiana were at Hargeon Town already, and at the docks in town waiting for a certain ship that would take them away back to the Dark Continent. In the distance a boat could be seen coming to the docks with the wild sounds of a party going on from the boat itself, like their were a wild group of people there.

'This is for the best, I left a note saying that I quit Fairy Tail... I would rather have them angry at me, than think I was kidnapped and try to find me.' Naruto thought sadly. He had put his goodbyes in that letter, and he knew they would be mad at him for leaving and not saying goodbye in person. He also made sure to hide the letter so that it would be found later, after he was long gone. Naruto looked at the water in front of them, before he saw himself reflected in the calm and clear water. He looked up and saw the rowdy ship making's it's way to port, he had contacted Captain Jack awhile back with the request that he take him and Morgiana back to the Dark Continent... and Jack had agreed to do it for a price. Naruto and Morgiana would be tasked with defending the ship from attacks like with the creature that Naruto had killed awhile back.

It took a few hours for the boat to stop in front of them, and the docking board was lowered so that Naruto and Morgiana could go up and get on the boat. The shaggy boat captian greeted them with a smile, before he waved with a grin.

"Welcome aboard mates, nice to nice you back Fancy Feet!" Captain Jack said loudly as he greeted the young Fanalis, with Morgiana slightly offended by his smell. For somebody that lived on a ship, it was like the man had an adversion to using water to bath or something. How Naruto wasn't bothered by this stink was a mystery to her, even Fanalis bathed using a special type of fruit and a lake to wash themselves off after a long day. The fruit wasn't good to eat, but it had amazing cleaing properties and smelled great. It was also an ingredient for disinfecting bad wounds.

"Hey Captain, nice to see you again." Naruto greeted lightly, while he saw Katherine come up and smack Jack on the back of the head.

"Captain, go do something useful and restock your dirt jars or something." Katherine said roughly as she ordered her Captain around like it was nothing, and when Jack did what she said nobody bat an eyelash, not even Naruto. Katherine looked towards the younger teens with a smile on her face moments later while the crew started to unload the cargo and go collect the next load and the bags of food they would be needing for the next trip. "Nice to have you back Naruto, and it is nice to see you are looking well Morgiana. The last time I saw you, you were a tiny little thing. I fear in a few more years you will grow into an even more beautiful woman." Katherine said with a small smile on her face, while Morgiana looked at her strangely.

Did she know this woman?

"Thank you, but I have a ways to go before I become a woman. I just became an adult by my people, but I haven't completed the ritual to becoming a woman." Morgiana corrected Katherine, who was slightly ignorant of the traditions of the fanalis people. You could be considered and adult, but not as a man or woman. Not until you completed an impressive solo hunt and brought back the kill, before skinning it and creating a personal animal belt with it and creating ceremonial clothes would you be considered a woman. She had yet to do that, the fight with the ice dragon not counting since it was a group effort.

"Oh well, nice to have a moment to talk to you guys." Katherine said as she left them alone and hjelped load up the food, while Naruto and Morgiana looked at each other for a moment with confused eyes at how quick that conversaion went. Naruto was feeling rather nervous right now, even though he was leaving Fairy Tail, it was impossible to tell if they had found his note early and were going to come and try to stop him. He was nervous because with Natsu's nose that was very possible.

The two of them leaned against the railing, while Naruto looked at the city that he had his first mission as a member of Cait Shelter at. This mission that introduced him to Lucy, and got him ready for the world as a mage. This town of his first mission, would also be the place where he would stop doing missions as a mage for a long time. When the men and women finished the loading and unloading, with the price being paid for the objects they delivered, Jack waisted no time in ordering that they ship off right away to go to the next destination. The boat started to move away from the port to the Dark Continent, the Country of Darkness. Naruto couldn't help but look over the land he had learned to call home sadly.

'Goodbye everyone, and goodbye Fairy Tail.' Naruto said with tears spilling from his eyes lightly, before he felt Morgiana use the side of her thumb to wipe the tears from his cheeks with a smile on her face. Naruto closed his eyes, before he opened when with hid determination built up and confidence restored at the kind gesture.

It wasn't goodbye.

See you later Fairy Tail!
