Pokѐmon Journey II: Gwyn's Passage
Chapter 19: Rescued by 'The One'
Gwyn's Point of View:
"Gwyn! How could you do something so stupid like that?" Aaron snapped at me for almost the umpteenth time. "Working with Violet is dangerous enough as it is, now you want to train with her and be her partner and travel with her all the time to all the dangerous locations she goes to?"
"Aaron, we've had this discussion already and I'm done arguing with you, I've already decided what I want and I'm going to aim toward it." I continued to put my belongings into my bag and clean up while Aaron kept trying to take them out and put them back where they were. I sighed. "Once I become champion, I plan to join Violet and train with her, prove my strength, and help her bring down Rose, for good. Nothing you say or do is going to stop me, and darn it all Aaron! Stop pulling out my things! I'm trying to leave this pokemon center!"
"Gwyn! No! You're not going anywhere until you stop this crazy obsession you have with going after Rose! She nearly killed you-"
"Are you sure about that, I'm sure it was the other way around." Now that things had calmed down again, my fear of death was still there, but it was mostly in the back of my mind now since I was trying to avoid thinking about it. To make matters worse, Aaron been on my case for the entire two weeks that I've spent in Mahogany, where Violet brought me to after the battle in Goldenrod, resting.
My changeling abilities had really drained a lot of the energy right out of me, not to mention, being in that form seemed to bother Aaron a whole heck of a lot. Violet, Tristan, Alex and Vince all seemed quite pleased that I now had the ability should I need it, though Violet did warn me not to use it unless dire necessary with how unstable I was with it and I needed further training to control it. Violet told me that she had an already rowdy nature to her where she was a bit wild and more pokemon like in habits, which made it easier for her to control, where as I've been raised as a polite (for the most part) young woman and while I do have my moments, I tend to be a bit more mature for my age then I probably should be, and it makes it so that I have no control since I have no connection to that side of me.
"Are you seriously still arguing about that with her, just let her do her own thing, you're not her father." Tristan sighed from the other end of the room and had his arms crossed as he leaned against the wall next to the doorway.
"Thank you! Finally!" I grinned at the older boy and he blushed before turning his head away. Aaron hissed at that turned on his heels before hurrying out of the room without another word. I shook my head in response. "What a meanie…"
"I definitely agree." I whipped my head around and watched as Violet slipped into my room with Alex and Vince in tow. "Good to see you're up and about Gwyn, ready for your gym match?"
"Very," I noted to the woman. "I would have gone sooner but Aaron begged me to rest more, but I've finally had it. I'm moving out of here."
Vince chuckled. "I'm surprised you actually listened to him, what made you do it?"
"Well… he is my best friend after all, like a brother to me. I can understand what he's trying to say, so I tried to ease his worries by resting more then I probably needed, but even I was getting restless." I shook my head. "I don't think he likes the fact that I'm not only getting back on the road again, but I'm also leaving before he and Tristan can get their seventh badges so I can get some training in and prepare myself for the last gym."
"Are you sure you'll be alright on your own though?" Tristan questioned me. "It's not that I don't trust you, but it's been a while since we've been separated and on our own, not since before we joined together in Ecruteck."
I looked over at him with a smile. "I'll be fine, and it's not like Rose will attack me. Not so soon after we defeated her anyway, she'll need a little more time to recover and get her troops together before she would face us again."
"I have to agree with Gwyn on that one, Rose does need a little time to fix her organization before she could attack us." Violet shrugged. "This means Gwyn gets some awesome time to train and work on getting her badges and prepare for the Pokѐmon League, because until then, I won't let her join me on my travels."
"Which is why I also need to get away from Aaron, who's dead set on trying to make me not do that." I groaned. "He's afraid I'm going to lose my head or something."
"Umm… well… about that-"
"I know it's a possibility Violet," I cut her off before she could say more, "but I'm not going to let that stop me, nor Aaron's overbearing worries." I looked her dead set in the eyes. "I want to stop her Violet, I want to help people and bring down Rose, for good."
"Well, it's not like I could stop you if I wanted to, you are your own person, and soon enough, you and I will be on fighting level where we both have about the same amount of strength." She chuckled as she walked over and wrapped her arms around my neck and leaned on my shoulders. "Even my pokemon and I are noticing your power and it's starting to make them itch for a battle against you."
"Now that's something I'd like to see!" Vince was quick to snap his fingers and grin at us. "An amazing battle of all time between the champion of the Kanto region and possibly the new champion of the Johto region! I can already see the ferocity of both sides as they duke it out and types against each other being matched up and battling it out!"
"I think your getting ahead of yourself Vince." Alex shook his head and placed a hand on the other older male's shoulder, forcing him to calm down a bit. "Not that I don't think this will happen, but it may be a while before a battle like that takes place."
"Either way," I picked up my bag and threw its strap over my shoulder before I turned back to the others. "I need to get going if I ever want to get that strong and face Violet in the first place."
"Alright then Hon, knock Pryce out of commission with your battling, is should be easy since he's an ice type gym leader, but be careful, he does have a water and ice type that could take out Cynder." Violet pushed herself off my shoulders and released me before she gave me a thumbs up. "I know you'll get it."
"Thanks Violet." I headed out of the room and was just about to turn away and head down the hallway when I remembered something. "Oh, and Violet? Can I ask a favor of you?"
"What's up?"
"Rose… she said she had my dad…"
She gave me a soft smile and walked out with me, patting my shoulder as she led me out of the building. "I'll find him, don't you worry. Do you want me to call your mother too?"
"Oh crud!" I hit the top of my head. "I have so much explaining to do to her and Professor Elm about what's taken place over all this time and that Tristan didn't really steal Feraligatr!"
"Don't worry about the professor and that problem Gwyn, I contacted him a while back and let him know what took place after I sent you guys off in Ecruteck. He dropped the charges, not to mention they were never filed in the first place since the police man you spoke to was a Team Rocket member." She stopped at the door and I walked a bit past her so I was outside. "But he still would like to hear about Ticky, and your reasons behind naming her."
"Oh, okay. Thanks for the heads up Violet. I'll do that after my gym battle." She gave me a grin and leaned against the frame as I began to walk away. I turned back to look at her as I got further and further away and I watched as she waved to me. I waved back before I turned away and didn't look back.

It was only a short hike from the pokemon center to the gym. From the information that Violet had given me about the battle that we'd be facing here at the gym, an ice type gym leader by the name of Pryce, were ice and water types for the most part. Cynder and Shocker would be the two pokemon participating mostly in this battle. The others I promised would have all their chances to fight in the Ice Path on our way to Blackthorn City.
Upon entering the gym at the back of town, I was surprised to see that once I entered the gym was literally covered in a thick layer of ice all over the walls and it was freezing inside, no different then outside, but at least there wasn't any wind. I still felt the chill go down my spine and I hugged my body closer to Cynder. She towered over my back and Shocker walked next to me, also trying to absorb some of the warm heart that she was giving off.
At the back of the gym seemed to be a trainer that was older and shorter then normal humans were, he even seemed to be smaller then myself. It was an old man with spiky white hair that was starting to recede on his forehead, though most of it was still there, and I could see his harsh black eyes. He wore a set of thick tan pants with a pair of thick boots and a heavy, long, blue winter jacket that came down to almost his knees and a periwinkle blue scarf hung around his neck. A cane was held in his left hand to help him walk steadily.
He almost glared at me as I walked closer to him and suddenly stepped into a trainer box that was painted before a field of ice. Some rocks seemed to be placed just perfectly in his battlefield as I looked it over. I turned my eyes back to face the older man, who still looked at me with his harsh gaze.
"Um… I'm Gwyn Jalen and I'd like to face you for my seventh gym badge… please?"
The old man sighed. "Well it's about time you said something, if you hadn't I would have left." He shook his head and straightened his posture. "My name is Pryce Nieve and I'm the gym leader of this town." He closed his eyes. "I am the eldest of the gym leaders, not only in this region, but out of most of the regions known to us in this day and age. I've been with pokemon for over fifty years, most of them I befriended before you were even born." He opened his eyes. "The winter tends to be harsh on those that don't have luck among them, so let us see if winter seems to favor or hate you."
"I don't know what it thinks, but I know that I hate it…" I muttered to myself and turned away from the gym leader for a moment to look to both of my pokemon.
"You shouldn't mumble, the wind will hear you regardless." Pryce shook his head again and pulled out a pokeball. "Within my gym it's a three on three battle, and my first pokemon for you to face is Dewgong!"
He threw out the pokeball and from it came the sea lion pokemon with a small horn on its head and somewhat frilly fins. It was an off white color and smiled when it saw me as a challenge. "Dewgong!"
"Alright then, this must have been the water type that Violet was talking about." I quickly looked over to Shocker, but he was already out on the field. Pryce raised an eyebrow at that, but said not a word.
"Let's begin, shall we?" His other hand that didn't hold the came was then tightly held behind his back. "Dewgong use ice beam!" From the pokemon's mouth it cried out and a beam of ice followed that cry.
"Shocker, dodge it!" My pokemon leaped up into the air and out of the way. "Now use thunder!" In a quick moment my pokemon lit up and he then shot a beam of lighting toward the pokemon on the other side of the field.
"Into the water Dewgong!" On Pryce's command, the pokemon flipped up into the air and used its tail to smash a hole in the ice floor, which then led to a pool of some sort under the ice. It then dived in without a glimpse of hesitation, even with an electric type around.
"Shocker! Redirect to the water!" My pokemon landed on the ground and the fired off another electrical beam that was sent flying at the hole.
"Come up and use headbutt!" I heard the ice smash apart from behind Shocker and jumping up from the water was the dewgong. Shocker was just able to turn around in time for him to be hit square in the face with the pokemon's head. He flew backward and hissed out.
"Now, shock wave!" A disk of electricity was created then while the pokemon was still in the air and threw at it. The water type had no time to move and was hit with the electrical strike and thrown back. The water type crashed into the wall behind it, but was quickly able to wiggle its way out and move itself back onto the battlefield.
"Dang it…" This would be a little harder then I though. I shook my head. I gotta get a direct hit on that dewgong if I want to knock it out, but it's so fast… the only way would be if it was in the water…
But how to get it there… I shook my head as I thought things over.
"Any day would be nice over here Miss Jalen." My eyes glanced up at the impatient old man. "I'm not getting any younger here."
"Well excuse me for trying to think."
"I'm not about to give you that time though." He turned back to his pokemon. "Now Dewgong, use blizzard!" The pokemon cried out and all around it came, swirling in on a thick gust of wind, ice crystals and snow. Shocker shielded his face from the blast but at the same time, the dewgong moved itself closer to him and swatted his tail forward. Shocker, in the mist of the blast, somehow managed to shield himself and grab onto that tail.
"Nice Shocker! Now use thunder on it directly!" My electric pokemon grinned madly on the field and ferociously let lose all the electricity inside in an enormous attack onto the water type that was unable to free itself as the attack went on. The pokemon was thoroughly electrocuted before it was thrown backward toward a hole that led into the water. It quickly made it to the surface, but had a hard time trying to climb itself out.
"Dewgong! Get out of there!" Pryce called out worriedly to his pokemon.
"Not this time Pryce! Shocker, use thunder again on the water and send that pokemon packing!" The electricity roared in the air and the thunder and lighting just shrieked as it fired through the air and hit the water where the water pokemon was unable to make its way out of. "Alright Shocker now stop!"
My pokemon instantly cut off the attack. The entire pool had then calmed down and the pokemon that we were facing against was floating at the top of water, thankfully with only 'x's over its eyes and just knocked out, nothing worse. I sighed in relief at that. While I did want to do some damage, I didn't want to kill it with a direct hit.
"I guess I underestimated you." Pryce hissed as he returned his pokemon and pulled out another pokeball. "Let's go then Delibird!"
Out from his second pokeball came the red and white bird with a sort of black mask over its face and the sack over its shoulder. It flapped around a bit before it bounced on the icy ground.
"Are you okay for this battle Shocker?" My electric type turned back to me and nodded before he faced the bird once more. I watched as it fearfully looked at my pokemon and it suddenly turned white, even more so then it already was. I blinked.
Okay, now I understand why Shocker isn't about to let this battle go.
Shocker grinned evilly as he watched the fearful bird on the other side of the field. It shook in its own skin with wide eyes heavily focused on my electric type that was just intimidating it since it let itself be fearful of him. I shook my head, but hey, it helped up on the other side of the field.
"Alright then Shocker, take it out! Shock wave!" The disk of electricity was created before my male pokemon and suddenly it raced forward and slammed into the pokemon head on, since it couldn't and wouldn't move out of its fear of my pokemon. It took the direct hit and was thrown back and rolled along the ground, hitting a few of the icy boulders on the field before landing a few feet from Pryce, this pokemon was also out, 'x's were over its eyes.
"Alright Shocker, I think you've had your good fun, now let's take a break, okay?" My pokemon finally relented and obeyed before he came and tagged paws with my fire type. She grinned madly, just as he had, and jumped out on the field. Her flame mane burning fiercely and the flames flicked off her body and began melting some of the ice field around her.
"Careful Cynder, make it too hot and you'll fall right through the ice." My fire type ignored my warning, but I was used to it. She just wanted to battle, and I don't blame her for that, but she's going to need to be more careful.
"The winter favors you much more then I thought it would," Pryce said as he returned the bird that fell in less then two minutes. "And now I will face your most powerful pokemon, and you will face mine." He threw out the last pokeball he had. "Let's go Piloswine!"
Out from the last pokeball he apparently had came a tall, hairy, swine like pokemon that had an extremely thick coat of fur that practically, no, it did cover its entire body, and only tusks and a large pink nose stuck out of it. It snorted and I could hear scratching from under its fur.
"Alright Cynder! Let's finish this up really quick! Blast burn!" My fire type showed her ever favorite grin as she heard the command and the symbols appeared all over her body before the fire in her mane turned white and from her mouth came the white fire that was directed strait at the ice type.
"Counter it with blizzard Piloswine!" From its own mouth that appeared below the levels of fur on its body came a freezing cold wind of ice and snow, heading straight for the blast burn.
The two blasts collided and for a moment, I thought they would be matched and it would take some more strength in order to take it down. To my surprise, however, the blast burn cut right through it and I could have sworn I saw a pair of black eyes appear from below the fur to watch in fear as the fire slammed into it head on and engulfed it whole. I heard it scream out and Cynder thankfully stopped before things got too out of hand and the fire was cut off. On the other side of the field, I saw the piloswine, the ice below it was melted and its body was slipping under that was scorched black.
"Oh no!" I gasped out. I didn't want to drown it!
"Piloswine!" Pryce called out, but he was stuck, he was an old man and had no other pokemon on him at the moment that he could use to help him pokemon out in the water.
"Scarlet! I need your help!" I threw out the pokeball and out came my water dragon that was quick to move. She threw her head into the hole that we'd created in the ice and it created a huge splash we had to deal around. I covered my face to shield myself from the cold water and Cynder rushed over to the hole. I soon hurried after her and so did Pryce to see if his pokemon was alright.
"Piloswine!" Pryce called out again as I saw Scarlet surfacing. She pulled her head up and opened her mouth, putting a soaking wet ice type with scorch marks and burned fur on the solid ice we still had. The pokemon, to our relief, coughed out the water that was within its throat and, as I hoped and assumed, it opened its eyes and turned to look at Pryce who was doing his best to bend over and make sure it was okay.
"Oh thank goodness you're okay Piloswine, you did well today. She was just too strong. Have a good rest." He returned his pokemon before he turned back to look at me. His look softened from where it had before and he extended a hand. I gave it to him and got to my feet and helped him up before he shook my hand. "You did very well today, the winter, though you seem to dislike it, favors you."
"I have no idea why though, maybe it thinks I'm funny…" I rolled my eyes but the small smile I got from Pryce didn't seem to waver.
"I'm glad to see that there are still trainers like you in the world, and like Violet." He smiled. "I believe that with the power you have, you can make it all the way my dear. Now here," he held out his hand before him, toward me, with a badge in his palm. "The glacier badge." The badge he handed me looked like that of a white snow flake with a light blue coloring in-between the lines of the snow flake.
I saw Pryce yawn after that and I quickly returned my pokemon and turned back to him. "Well, you look a bit tired, I'll leave you be now so you can rest up. My two best friends are going to be coming by later this day to try and get your badge as well." I turned on my heels as I put my seventh badge in my case. "Thanks for the gym battle and have a good day!"
I didn't quite here his reply other then a 'hmph'. I guess he didn't quite like the remark I made about him being tired. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at that as I made my way out and back to the Pokemon center, I'd only go there quickly for a bite to eat and to heal up before I'd head on my way to Blackthorn City.
I also had a call to make to the professor and my mother… great…
HalloweenWitchHalloweenWitch
"So you see Professor, Ticky is a normal type that seems to still be able to posses a wide range of abilities. And after her evolution, she also obtained the type of flying, which gave her flight with the small wings she has and flying type moves like 'aerial ace'. She's still a bit young, but I'm sure more moves will come in time." I had already called the professor and was talking to him after a long explanation of my journey to him and my mother; he'd been kind enough to get her on the other end of the line so we could all talk at once.
"I see… quite an interesting pokemon Ticky seems to be… I can't wait to meet her and the rest of your team in person after you beat the Blackthorn City gym leader." I heard the professor sigh and pause for a moment. "Be careful with that one Gwyn, Clair is the most powerful of the gym leader's in this region for a reason."
"Oh I'm sure she'll be fine! She is Gale and my daughter after all!" My mother beamed on the other end of the line. When I'd informed her of the information that Dad was alive and we were trying to track him down and bring him home, she was worried, but elated that he was still alive. She had a new spark to her that she'd not had since before my father disappeared.
"Yeah, well anyway, I sent back some pictures so that way you could see what Ticky and all my other pokemon look like now and before now and I should probably get going." I warned them as I saw the icy cave come into sight. "I'm almost to the entrance of the Ice Path and I don't think I'll have any reception in there."
"Oh… well I guess it can't be helped." I heard my mother sigh. "You just promise now that you'll talk with us once you get up to Blackthorn and let us know when you're coming home. I want to see my little girl and meet this boy Tristan, after everything's been explained and what not, I think he sounds like such a sweet person and I think he'd make an excellent boyfriend for you in the future Gwyn Honey! …Which is funny since I thought you'd always end up with Aaron-"
"Mom!" I flushed with embarrassment. "Don't talk about things like that, especially when the professor is right there!"
"Um… well… I'll just talk with you later Gwyn, you and your mother can speak about this when you get a chance and I-I have to get back to work an-and stuff!" I suddenly heard the dial tone and I sighed in relief that my mother was sharing the phone with him, so now I didn't have to hear anything from her about me and the boys, or any kind of boys.
Of course, as much as I didn't want to say it, my mother had a point in some aspects. They boys, in a twisted sort of way since this is an all but strange and new subject for me to think over, would both, in their own way, be good candidates for me in the sense of a boyfriend.
Aaron is extremely loud and expressive while I would be quiet compared to him. We easily balance each other out. We've also known each other for the longest of time since we've been best friends and some of the only kids in town that were around the same age as each other. Other kids tended to be much older or younger. Aaron was someone that was easy to talk to and it was a comfort to be around him, most of the time.
With Tristan, he still holds almost a sense of mystery and defensiveness around him, especially when he's around with others and Aaron. I think I'm one of the only ones who seem him when he's really nice, other then Violet of course. But then again, she could get him to tell her even if he didn't like her! It was that aura that drew me to him and it was also a desire in me to make his life better compared to what he's had in the past with his birth parents being Giovanni and Rose Agustino, both of them leaders of Team Rocket.
Though he still had his moments where I could push him and Aaron over the edge of a bridge.
But as for who I wanted, that was pretty clear, I knew of the two boys who I wanted more. It's not a factor of who I've known the longest or who's the coolest. It's a factor or what I like, what I'm attracted to, and what I think I can live my life with. Both of them have their good and bad qualities, both share faults. But if I had to say who I really wanted to be with, that would be-
"Hey Gwyn!" I whipped around my head as my thoughts were interrupted and I watched as Aaron hurried up to me along the dirt road to where I was just outside of the Ice Path.
"Oh, hey Aaron." He caught up beside me and caught his breath. "What's up?"
"Got your badge already? Heading out so soon? You're not waiting on us?" Multiple questions were just thrown at me that I didn't know how to deal with. "Why?"
"Uh... yes, yes and yes, and as for the why… I need some one on one training with my team to prepare for Blackthorn and I just need some time to get my thoughts in the right place." I shook my head and my eyes glanced away from him. "We know all of each other's moves and strategies because we've traveled with each other for so long, its not fair to you and Tristan since I already have so much power and it wouldn't give you a fighting chance."
"But Gwyn-"
"Don't try and talk me out of this Aaron, it's for the best for all of us and I decided this for myself. If you want to still travel with someone then maybe Tristan would-"
"The only reason I travel with that bastard is because of you!" I blinked and looked back up at him in shock as he breathed heavily. "I couldn't stand that guy having you all to yourself to go off on my own, so I stayed with you! I didn't want him to steal you away from me!"
"What are you talking about?" I gasped at him. "No one's stealing me-"
"Do you have any idea why I'm acting this way? I fuckin' love you, you idiot!" He snapped at me and he suddenly grabbed my wrist and pulled me closer. "Why can't you see that all I've done has been for you and I don't want you to leave me?"
"Aaron! Stop!" I tried to twist out of his hold. "You're hurting me!"
"No!" He grabbed my other arm and pulled me close. "Not until I know that your mine!"
His lips crashed into mine, a sloppy, cracked, tearful kiss. He stole my first kiss from me without even letting me have a say in it. I cried, tears just wouldn't stop slipping out as I watched my best friend betray me in one of the worst ways. I tried to shove him off, but his body was like a vice on me, it wouldn't let go.
I finally kneed him where it hurt and he suddenly cried out as he released me and fell to the ground. I kicked him again and turned back to the cave, somehow forcing myself to stop at the entrance and turning back to look at him with eyes filled with furry. "I HATE YOU!"
Without another word, I took off into the Ice Path. As soon as my foot hit the ice, I fell onto my butt and I was propelled forward with the momentum I had before I fell. I felt a large piece of air appear below me and I screamed as I fell in the cave. My butt hit a wall of ice and I followed it along as it pushed me along. It was actually a slide from the way it shoved me around and threw me into rollouts over the icy path I was on.
I screamed as I felt myself hit a final solid bit of ice after I was thrown from wherever I was. I couldn't see anything and it was cold down here, wherever I was in the Ice Path. I slowly lifted my head to look around, but I couldn't see any path. I heard multiple pokeballs open and I looked around through hazed eyes to see my six pokemon huddled around me. All of them came in close and I could feel Shelly right next to my face. He was secreted some of the berry juice that was onside his shell that he made from berries.
Though my hazy vision I ate some of the gooey juice that he was trying to give me and using the healing properties within them. I felt the pain swirling in my head and body start to clear, but I still felt cold and tired from the damage I'd taken. I tried to push myself off the ground, but as soon as my head left the ground, it swirled and I fell back down. All of my pokemon cried out and crowded around me even more.
"…Thanks you guys…" I took in and let out a shaky breath. "Cynder? I'm cold…"
I suddenly felt my body be moved and a warm one was placed behind me and multiple other ones that weren't quite as warm, but still somewhat warm, all crowded around me. I glimpsed through the narrow passage my eyelids would allow and saw it was all my pokemon. Cynder holding me from behind and I was leaning back into her while all my other pokemon were crowded around my front, other the Scarlet, who coiled her body around all of us to make a protective ring around all of us.
I finally couldn't stay awake any longer. I was so tired, I was so cold, but now I could feel the warmth from my pokemon. I curled slightly into them all, mostly Cynder, and drifted off in a hazed and spinning dream.
HalloweenWitchHalloweenWitch
"Gwyn!"
I didn't know exactly how much time had passed since that had taken place, but it was nice to hear someone's voice. A voice that wasn't 'his'.
"Gwyn!"
Scarlet lifted her head first, crying out and letting her voice echo among the tunnels. The rest of my pokemon soon followed after her and they were all crying out for help for me. I could hear some foot steps from a distance away, but it was hard to hear where they were coming from. I tilted my head against Cynder's fur and looked over to where I could see a tunnel now on the other side of the room. A light was at the back of it and I suddenly saw two shapes emerge from it, stopping for a moment to look around before they saw me and rushed toward us. My pokemon quickly moved to the side and let them through as one of them hurried right up to me and started using a changeling ability, healing.
"Violet?" I couldn't get a good glimpse of my saviors in the lighting. I looked over to the side and saw an image that looked similar to Tristan, but I couldn't tell for sure. "Tristan?"
"Shh. Don't talk Gwyn." With my head spinning a bit less, I felt myself be picked up from the hold of my pokemon and I leaned against the flat chest of whoever's arms I was in.
"Are you sure you're okay with carrying her?" I heard a female voice say. "I can take her-"
"No, I need you to keep that putrid excuse for a best friend away from her, I'll carry her." I felt myself be pulled close to the young man's chest and I was grateful that he took so much care in me. Tristan was sweet like that; it's what attracted me to him in the beginning.
"Then we better go, she needs medical attention after the crash she apparently took to her head."
"Okay, lead the way Violet."
I let their conversation drown out around me as I slipped back into my own mind. The events of the day were taxing on me, but who could be blamed for that? Aaron was out of control of his actions and had no right to force himself onto me like that. In fact, I wasn't sure if I could forgive him.
I knew Aaron would never be the one for me, he was too far away from what I could handle, and he needs a person who has just as much energy as he does in order to tend to his needs. I, on the other hand, needed someone who was much mellower but still had some character to him and some energy, just not an overwhelming amount like Aaron.
That left Tristan.
I was always attracted to him. I might not have made it look clear, but he was always sweet and he treated everyone with respect, even to some others that didn't really deserve it, like Aaron who must have been giving Tristan a whole bunch of heck about him being around me. It put all the pieces together now, the ones that never made sense to me that I never questioned about since it was none of my business. He put up with Aaron for so long, just for the sake of trying to get along, and maybe even for me…
It made me realize, in that moment, just how much I cared for Tristan Agustino…
And that I loved him.
Witch's Note:
Oh boy! So we're finally back to the boy drama and we got a seventh guy badge, but I guess that doesn't exactly matter since Gwyn's not exactly happy or well at the moment since her accident in the Ice Path!
Oh well, next time we move onto a new location and hopefully some more action between this love triangle will take place and maybe we'll deal some more with Aaron! Who knows! But I can't wait to find out!
Alright! I love you all and I'll see you next week! Please remember to send in Questions for me and the characters and some Reviews to please!
