"More importantly, it is indeed a sad life that had never breathed deep this sweet, proliferous bouquet that is Tortuga , savvy? What do you think?" asked Jack as they walked along the streets of Tortuga. They had pulled in late at night and now Jack was leading them through what was essentially a lawless town. There was fighting in the streets, drinking, lady chasing, and all such manners that would be frowned upon in any other town. It was truly wild. Kia and Will exchanged looks with one another at the question.

"It lingers." mutters Will as Kia nodded her head.

"Very much lingers." she added. Jack just smiled and went back to leading them past brawls and other deeds of the night as if it was the most normal thing ever. This was definitely going to be an interesting night to say the least.

"I'll tell you mate, if every town in the world were like this one, no man would ever feel unwanted." Jack continued to talk as he walked them along. He was definitely enjoying himself, that much the blonde could tell. Kia paused when she noticed a woman start to approach the group. She didn't look very happy at all.

"Ummm...Jack?" she asked and pointed to the curly red-head coming closer.

"Scarlett!" he exclaimed upon recognizing the woman only to get back-handed. Both Will and Kia flinched at the slap as they watched Scarlett walk off in a huff.

"Not sure I deserved that." he stated rubbing his cheek before spying a curly-haired blonde coming over,"Giselle!"

"Who was she?" Giselle ask nodding her head in the direction that Scarlett had just walked off. Jack gave a curious stare at to what she meant.

"What?" he responded as another slap met his face. Both Will and Kia winced again as they watched now Giselle walk off in a huff, the same way Scarlett had before.

"I may have deserved that." muttered Jack holding his cheek again. That was going to be swollen no doubt by tomorrow or at the very least be sporting a nice big bruise. Kia quickly looked around the place to check and see if anymore women would be approaching the group again.

"Anymore women to be slapped by?" asked Kia curiously with a smirk ,"Or can we move on?"

"Nope...no more." Jack answered giving his cheek one last rub before the group continued on their way. Further up they came upon a stable, most likely for people to tie up horses for the night and keep animals that would later be cooked more than likely. The pirate paused before grabbing a bucket and dunking it into a horses drinking troth before proceeding towards the stable.

"You may want one each," stated Jack as he began to walk away from a very confused Will and Kia,"Trust me."

They both exchanged looks before each grabbing a bucket and dunking it into the troth as well, filling each quickly. As soon as eachwas filled Will grabbed the other's hand and make quick pace to catch up with Jack, the pirate opening the doors and heading inside the building. No sooner had both approached did the smell of the stable hit them hard in the face. That smell was the worst thing they had ever smelt in their life.

"Oh geeze," gagged Kia pulling her hand away from Will's and covering her nose,"What is that stench?!"

"Pigs." stated Jack ahead of them before spying what he was looking for,"Ah, there he is."

"He?" asked Will as he ventured over to Jack with Kia close behind. Sleeping in one of the stalls, apparently for a large group of pigs, was a man. The blonde wasn't sure if it was the pigs or the man who the awful smell was coming from, but they both gave off their own smell to say the least. Jack quickly hoisted the bucket into both hands as he quickly threw its contents out and onto the sleeping form. The cold water instantly woke the sleeping figure up as well as stir up the pigs he had rested against. The stall was soon filled with squeals and shrieks from the oinkers as the man sat up quickly, rubbing his face of the water and looking bewildered.

"Curse you for breathing, you slack-jawed idiot!" the guy shouted before his eyes came to rest on Jack,"Mother's love! Jack!"

Jack smiled a bit as the man recognized him.

"You should know better than to wake a man when he's sleeping." stated the other as he wiped his face again with his hand ," 'S bad luck."

"Ah, fortunately I know how to counter it." stated Jack with a smile," The man who did the waking buys, the man who was sleeping, a drink. The man who was sleeping drinks it while listening to a proposition from the man who did the waking."

The other seemed to pause in getting up, seeming to go over what Jack had just proposed. It wasn't long before he brightened up and smiled.

"Aye, that'll about do it." he replied about to get up. As if on cue both Kia and Will tossed their own water at the other, which earned a large shriek again from the pigs behind the man.

"Blast! I'm already awake!" the older man shouted at them both as he stood soaking wet.

"That was for the smell." stated Will as Jack exchanged looks with both him and Kia. Seemed reasonable to the pirate. After all it did smell in that little stall. Jack quickly threw his bucket off to the side and went over to the other man.

"Be much warmer in the bar, mate." he stated giving him a very hesitant pat on the back not wanting to get wet himself,"Lets head there shall we?"

"Aye." stated the man shaking his arms causing the man next to him to jump back slightly to avoid the wetness,"I be soaked to the bone."

"Looked like a drowned rat." chuckled Kia as the man turned his gaze to the other two. He turned back to Jack with a questionable look, curiousabout who they were.

"Ah right, introductions." stated Jack before heading back over to the other two. He hopped a bit among the mud and other questionable contents on the ground before stopping and slinging his arms around both them.

"This is the witch named Kia." he began the introductions starting with the blonde before looking to her," Lil' Dove, this is Gibbs."

"Charmed." smiled Kia and did a little curtsy to Gibbs. Jack couldn't help but smirk before turning his attention to Will now, patting his shoulder.

"And this strapping boy is William...Will for short." he stated to Gibbs as Will stepped a bitforward, holding his hand out to the other man. Gibbs took it as they shoke hands.

"It's nice to meet you, sir." Will replied with a nod,"Even here."

"Well, now that the introductions are over, shall we head over to the drinking hole?" stated Jack as he began to head for the door,"I have a proposition Gibbs, one I think you'll like."

"Let's get to it than, Jack." nodded Gibbs before adding," Yer buyin'."

"I did say I would wouldn't I?" the pirate replied as the three followed him out of the stables and to the bar not far from there. It was of course filled with allmanner of rough necks, fighting and drinking themselves silly. Kia paused a bit behind the group as they neared the place, giving a little bit of a worried look at the joint. Will seemed to notice her nervousness about entering the place, stopping as well and turning to her.

"Everything alright?" he asked to the blonde as she looked to Will. She bit her lip a bit and looked back to the place in question, the fighting could be heard inside. That was a lot of fighting too. And gun shots.

"Well," she began not sure how to word this,"I think I'll hang out around here."

"...you don't want to go in?" asked Will puzzled.

"Oh yeah." nodded Kia giving a nervous look at the bar,"I'd rather NOT go towards the gun shots."

"It is a bit rowdy." murmured Will looking back to the bar as well. Their small stop seemed to draw Jack's attention as both he and Gibbs stopped at the door. He gave his friend a quick finger to indicate he'd be one moment before quickly going over to Will and Kia.

"What's the hold up kids?" he asked curiously looking between the two.

"Kiana doesn't wish to enter the bar." stated Will looking to the girl and back to Jack.

"Really?" asked Jack looking to the blonde.

"Y-Yeah," she stated in a little stammer and looking down,"I'll just wait out here for you guys to finish."

"You sure there love?" asked Jack giving another curious stare.

"I'll be fine." answered Kia with a small smile. Will gave a bit of a frown at the statement before looking to the pirate.

"I don't think she should be out...here...alone, Jack." Will told the other. After all, even though she wasn't a child and old enough to handle herself no doubt, he didn't feel it was safe here for the blonde. Especially alone. He didn't know how the others around here acted but no doubt it would be anything civil, if the enviroment was any proof of their behavior.

"Hmmm, I see your point." murmured the pirate as he gave it some quick thought,"Well, why don't you both wonder about? Maybe get Lil' Dove a change of attire while you're at it? Love sticks out like a sore thumb here she does."

"I guess that sounds good." Will nodded in agreement. He had to admit, the other's attirewas unwanted attention. That much he was certain.

"Ooooh, I am game for that." Kia smiled brightly at the thought, completely forgetting her fear of the surrounding area. There was definitely a twinkle in the blonde's eye at the mention of shopping. Not that she normally enjoyed shopping. But this was the one time she'd definitely reconsider.

"Ah, good good." nodded the pirate,"Than you two make haste with that while I talk to our good ol' friend Gibby, yes? We'll meet back here soon as everything is done."

"Roger." with that Kia grabbed Will's arm and rushed off with the blacksmith, a startled yelp coming from other as he was dragged off. It was amazing how fast the blonde was out of sight, leaving Jack with Gibbs standing in shock for a moment. The pirate simply shrugged, turning to the other man and jabbing a thumb at the pubb.

"So...shall we discuss the terms?"

"OH! This one is so cool!" the blonde held up yet another piece of clothing, a ruffled cotton number. It hadn't been long since Will and Kia had left Jack and Gibbs to purchase the blonde some much more appropriate clothing. It was no trouble finding places for the young girl to buy new cloths, though Will never imagined one would get so excited over such normal wear. She looked so thrilled as she picked up blouse after blouse, a twinkle in her eye.

Course, there also came the manner of paying. There was always bartering, but neither of them that would interest pirates much. How the bloody hell were they to pay for these things than? Will was about to suggest heading back to find their pirate companion when it seemed the blonde got an idea of her own.

Before Will knew it, he had turned around to see her bartering with the very cloths she was wearing. Lying through her teeth as she did.

"Oh yeah, see the image...voodoo witch doctor protection spell." she stated as merchant was examining her t-shirt,"Wards off everything from curses to gun shots."

"Sounds a lil' pricey 'ere." the man muttered though it was clear he was interested.

"Not at all...while it be shame to part with, I can do say for one of your finer blouses and a good old pair of nickers." Kia grinned. Behind her the blacksmith just facepalmed and frowned. Definitely wasn't approving of this.

"Kia." he began as she was handed the clothing and went to change in one of the little stalls,"We need to talk."

"Kay, hold this for me!" she answered from the other side as a shirt and pants came flying over the side. He almost didn't catch them before they hit the mud below.

"You really shouldn't be lying about this." he stated as he gathered the clothing in his arms and held them close. True, no one in this period had seen cloths such as the one the young girl was wearing BUT that didn't mean they were just plain cloths. Strange pictures, material, and all.

"Oh, come on...what else am I going to use?" asked Kia as she pulled the shirt over her head.

"STILL. Lying is wrong." huffed the male as his attention turned when the curtains pulled back and revealed the blonde now in somewhat proper attire. They definitely looked nice on her, he had to admit and it would definitely help her blend in more.

"Yeah, but we're in a town of liars Will." she stated in a matter of fact voice as she grabbed her shirt from his arm and proceeded back over to the merchant. With that they were off to find more for her to wear. She still had her denim jeans, belt, and converses to barter with. Totally could probably get a ton for them without any trouble.

Will just sighed as they trucked along, avoiding drunks and staggering fights that crossed their paths. There was a definite want to leave as soon as possible. Even Kia agreed with Will on that one. Tearing Jack from the place was another story.

"I guess." huffed Will as they went to a guy selling some boots. There was another trade between the accused witch and the merchant and her converses were traded for a nice pair of boots. He even threw in a sash for around her waist for such a generous offer.

The trip went much that way, Kia bartering off her unique clothing for a set that was better fit for the surroundings she was now in. Will shooting disapproving looks as she lied to each merchant. Though he kept a close eye on the blonde. Nothing was going to happen to her while he was around that was for sure.

It was definitely nice though, even given the surroundings. Both were curious what Jack and Gibs were up to, but they'd probably learn about that soon enough.

"So, how do I look?" asked the blonde as she stepped out of another stall in some more apparel she had just traded for. She did a little turn to show Will the full attire. Now she definitely didn't stick out like a sore thumb around here.

"You look nice." smiled the blacksmith as she brushed her hair out of her face and blushed lightly.

"Thanks." she muttered shyly before pausing,"OH! I got you a little something too!"

Will blinked in surprise as she pulled something out of her pockets. It was anything too fancy but she thought it suited the other pretty well. The blonde stood on her toes as she pulled a brass chain around his neck. The charm at the end was pressed brass metal with a little atocha design engraved into it. He held the charm in his palm for a moment before turning to Kia.

"For luck in finding Elizabeth." she smiled softly.

"Thanks." he smiled more before grabbing her hand in his,"Come on let's get back to Jack. They should be done by now."
