. . . . . . . . . . . . .

When I woke up, I was at first shocked to see Ciel's sleeping face in front of mine. Then, I remembered that I was comforting him last night, and I fell asleep wrapped in his arms. I smiled softly and snuggled further into him, closing my eyes once again but not falling asleep.

A few minutes later, I heard the door open. I knew it was Sebastian. I opened my eyes and looked over my shoulder. Sure enough, he had just entered the room.

"I see you are already awake, Miss Katheryn." Sebastian said with a smile.

"Good morning, Sebastian." I said, returning his smile.

"Good morning." he said, walking over to the curtains and opening them.

"Wake up, Ciel." I said, gently shaking him. He didn't wake up. He just groaned a bit. I tried to wriggle out of his arms, but he had an iron grip on me. I tried pushing up against his chest, but that didn't work, either.

"I'm stuck." I said, and giggled. Sebastian smirked and walked over to us.

"It's time to let go of Miss Katheryn and wake up, young Master." Sebastian coaxed, trying to gently pry his hands off of my back. To our surprise, it didn't work. Sebastian had to use a bit of force to get him to let go of me. When I slid off of the bed, I noticed that Ciel frowned in his sleep, his expression sad. Sebastian and I tried not to laugh.

"Rise and shine, sleepyhead." I said, gently caressing Ciel's cheek. He smiled again and leaned into the touch. After a few seconds, his eyes finally opened. He looked up at me, and I smiled.

"It's about time." I said with a giggle. "We've been trying for hours to wake you up.

"Hours?" Ciel shouted, shooting up into a sitting position.

"I'm exaggerating!" I said, laughing. "But I'm not exaggerating when I say this: Sebastian had quite the struggle getting you to let go of me in your sleep." Ciel blushed like mad. Sebastian snorted in laughter, and I giggled. Then, Ciel sighed.

"I suppose it was because I know what I want, even in my sleep." he mumbled. Sebastian's eyes went wide, and his shoulders began to shake slightly from contained laughter.

"You know what you want?" I asked, clearly amazed. 'Was he referring to me?' Ciel's own eyes went wide, and he blushed harder.

"I-I" he stuttered.

"Is that it? Do you 'want me'?" I asked, smiling and leaning forward, trying not to laugh.

"No!" Ciel screeched. He was obviously lying.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"No! No!" Ciel shouted, waving his hands around. "Wait, I mean yes! Yes! I'm sure!" he said, every inch of his face and neck crimson red. I had to admit- I didn't believe him.

"If you want me," I said, deciding to tease him. "all you have to do is say so." I finished, my face mere centimeters from his.

"I-um-uh." he said, then looked away, his face an unbelievable shade of crimson red. I laughed, and Sebastian was now staring off to the side, an amused look on his face.

I sighed. "Oh, whatever, Ciel." I said, smirking and walking towards the door. "I'm going to get dressed. Goodbye!"

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

Ciel's POV

I was still blushing as Sebastian was getting me dressed. "So. . ." Sebastian started. "You. . . want Miss Katheryn, my Lord?" Sebastian asked, smirking.

"I already told you, no!" I said, crossing my arms over my chest.

"I apologize, my Lord, but that wasn't very believable." Sebastian said. "May I ask a question?"

"Go on." I said.

"When you say 'want', what exactly do you mean by that? Do you mean simply having her by your side, or having s-"

I blushed madly and screamed, "Sebastian! You perverted man! I'm only fourteen!" Sebastian looked like he wanted to laugh so badly.

"If you could do that with her, would you?" he asked, a sly grin on his face. I opened my mouth to respond, but, thankfully, I realized what he was trying to do before I could say anything. I looked up at him and glared at him.

"Damn you, Sebastian."

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

I had just gotten to my study, and Sebastian plopped down a huge stack of letters on my desk. I began going through them, putting all of them in the rejected pile as Sebastian took wrote them down. I came to a certain letter with a wax seal that caught my attention. The Queen's seal.

I opened the envelope and read the letter. A woman had been found murdered on the side of the street. She wanted us to find the killer and dispose of him. We needed to go to the crime scene.

I told Sebastian to fetch Katheryn so we could go there and also to Undertaker's. Surely he could tell us about the injuries sustained. By the time we had reached the front door, Katheryn was already there waiting, I immediately recalled the conversation we had this morning, and I felt a blush creep up my neck. I forced it down as best as I could, hoping she wouldn't notice.

After the carriage ride to town, we stopped at the scene of the crime; an alleyway. We went to where the body had been found, and there were traces of dried blood on the concrete. I had a quick word with the police, then searched for clues.

"Ciel." Katheryn said. I turned to see her a few feet off, on her knees in front of a wall.

"What is it?" I asked as I crouched down beside her.

"Look at this." she said, gently picking up a small, shiny object. It was a plain silver ring with an emerald in it. She carefully examined it. "Nothing is engraved in it." she said, turning to me and holding it out. I took the ring from her and examined it myself.

"Good job, Katheryn." I said, looking over at her and giving a small smile, which she returned. I stood up and held out my free hand to her. She took it and I helped her up. Even though she was standing, I continued to hold her hand for a moment longer. She didn't seem to mind at all.

"Sebastian." I said.

"Yes, my Lord?" he asked, now beside me. I held up the ring for him to see.

"An interesting find." he said, and held out a hand. "May I?" I handed him the ring, and he carefully looked at it from all angles.

"We should go to Undertaker's now." I said. "He may have some important information for us." We got back into the carriage, and rode to Undertaker's- which wasn't far.

When we finally arrived, we went inside, only to be immediately greeted and creeped out by Undertaker. He said he hand information, but wanted a 'first-rate laugh'.

After making the madman laugh, we got back into the carriage and rode back to the manor. As we were riding, Katheryn spoke up.

"I remember my parents and I would go to that orphanage during Christmas time every year." she said, and I turned and glanced at the building. "My father would dress up as Santa Clause and bring presents for all of the children. My mother would read a story to all of them. And, they'd donate money to the orphanage. All of the children are going to be so disappointed this year." she ended, smiling sadly.

I nodded slowly. I was quiet for a moment, lost in thought. "Is something the matter?" she asked.

"No, nothing." I said, then I turned my head to her with a smile. I leaned forward, and captured her lips in a tender kiss. All thoughts left my mind.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

Katheryn's POV

When we got back to the manor, we were all surprised to see the servants decorating a Christmas tree. Mey-Rin had told me Ciel didn't really celebrate Christmas since his parents died, and wouldn't allow any of them to celebrate. So when they saw Ciel standing in the center of the room, staring at them, they all froze and put on nervous smiles.

"H-Hello, Master!" Mey-Rin said, fiddling with an ornament in her hands.

"I see you're back, Master." Bardroy said, scratching the back of his head.

"It's wonderful to see you, Master!" Finny said, laughing nervously.

Ciel flicked his eyes back and forth between the trio and the half-decorated tree. "Where did you get that tree?" Ciel asked, his voice flat.

"The woods have quite a few fine Christmas trees, sir." Finny said, still smiling nervously.

"Decorations?" Ciel asked.

"A box in the storage room." Mey-Rin answered.

After a long silence- which must have been agony for the trio- Ciel spoke up once more, a smile on his face and a bit of cheer in his voice. "Why in the world was I not invited?" the servants gaped at him, then began to cheer. I giggled at them, and Ciel looked over to me, still smiling.

I smiled back, and we walked over to the others, helping them decorate the tree.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

We were almost finished decorating the tree. There was only the star left. "How about you put up the star, Master?" Finny said as he handed him the golden-colored star.

"How will I reach the top?" Ciel asked, staring up at the tip of the tree. He was much too short to reach it on his own. Sebastian appeared behind him, and grabbed him around the middle. He lifted him up high, and Ciel was now face-to-face with the top of the tree. Ciel shot Sebastian a glare, then carefully placed the star on. The servants cheered and jumped up in down in happiness.

Ciel stood next to me and wound an arm around my waist. "Merry Christmas." he said to me. I smiled and said, "Merry Christmas." Ciel then leaned forward and gently kissed me on the cheek.

"Aww!" the servants, save for Sebastian cooed. Ciel blushed and glared at Mey-Rin, Bardroy, and Finny, whom giggled like little girls.

"Oh, hush." Ciel said, which only fueled their laughter. He sighed, then began to walk away, dragging me with him.

"Ciel!" I shouted, trying to get him to let go of me. He had an iron grip on my waist with his hand; I was pinned to his side. I could hear the servants laughing loudly in the background. I finally gave up, and let him hold onto me, walking beside him.

We soon came upon the library door, and Ciel opened the door, putting a hand on the small of my back and gently pushing me inside. I heard the door shut behind us. I turned, about to ask Ciel a question. Before I even had the chance to open my mouth, I felt Ciel's lips on mine. He wrapped his arms around me and held me close.

I put my hands on his chest, closed my eyes, and kissed him back. It was sweet and tender; I never wanted it to end. I could feel his heart pounding against his chest. After a few minutes, we pulled apart for breath.

"Where did that come from?" I asked, panting lightly.

"I just wanted to spend some time alone with you." Ciel answered, reaching up a hand and gently stroking my cheek, smiling softly at me. I blushed a little."Thank you." he whispered.

"For what?" I asked.

"Making me happy." he said, pulling me closer and hugging me tightly. He gently stroked my hair with his hand, the other pressing against my back. I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him back.

"You don't have to thank me." I said, turning my head so my face was nearly buried in the crook of his neck. He slowly and gently rubbed my back, and I closed my eyes. I wanted to stay like this forever.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

Ciel's POV

There was no denying it. I was in love. As I walked to my study after spending a few moments alone with Katheryn, I thought about how I was going to tell her. I wanted to make it special. I just hoped she would love me back.

When I opened the door, I stepped inside and shut it behind me. I walked over to my desk and sat down, staring at the stack of papers I had to read. I sighed and sat down, picking up a piece of paper and reading. It was hard to focus, since I was busy thinking of how to tell a certain blonde about my feelings towards her.

Suddenly getting two good ideas, I called for Sebastian. A second later, he was knocking on the door. "Come in." I said. Sebastian entered, and shut the door behind him.

"Yes, my Lord?" he asked.

"I want you to do something for me." I said, smiling. "I want you to-" after giving him detailed instructions on my orders for him, he smiled, bowed, and went to take care of what I asked. I smiled to myself and read the reports, finally able to focus.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

Katheryn's POV

A few days later, I was walking down the hallway, looking for Mey-Rin to see if she needed help. We had already taken care of the Queen's orders with ease. I suddenly heard two sets of footsteps approaching from behind.

I turned to see Ciel and Sebastian walking behind me. Ciel was dressed in something totally different than his usual attire. He was wearing a Santa suit. My eyes widened as I realized that Sebastian was carrying a velvet drawstring sack filled to the brim with what appeared to be presents.

"Do hurry, Katheryn." Ciel said as they stopped a few feet in front of me with a light smirk. "We don't want to keep the orphanage waiting." my eyes proceeded to widen further as I realized what he was doing.

"Ciel!" I exclaimed as I nearly tackled him to the floor in a hug. "You're so sweet!" I said, planting a kiss on his cheek with a smooching sound.

"I'll be right back!" I said, dashing off to my room. I could have sworn Ciel was blushing, but I was in too much of a hurry to pay much attention to that.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

A few minutes later, we were riding towards the orphanage I told Ciel about. I couldn't stop smiling; my cheeks were really starting to hurt.

Ciel looked so adorable in the red Santa suit. He was even wearing the boots, white gloves, the Santa hat; everything! It was so cute; I had to resist the urge to cuddle him to death. 'I'm acting like a crazed fan girl.' I thought as I stole another glance at Ciel.

My feelings had been growing more and more everyday for him. They were so strong I was nearly positive that I loved him. But, would he love me back?

"We're here." Ciel said.

"Prepare to get glomped by a ton of six year-olds." I warned him with a giggle. "Those kids can get pretty strong." I said, and Ciel sweat dropped. 'They were able to knock my father down with one blow.' "But, don't worry." I said, smiling at him. "I'll be there to pick you up when you fall." this made Ciel blush lightly, but he still returned my smile.

"Thank you."

When we went into the orphanage, the children's faces lit up at the sight of a sack full of presents and a boy dressed as Santa. They immediately glomped Ciel to the ground; just like I had predicted. Ciel tried to push them off, but to no avail.

"Come now, children." the owner of the orphanage said. "Let's give the man some space." the children obeyed, and backed away.

"Are you alright?" I asked, bending down and over him. Ciel took a deep breath and nodded.

"I'm fine." he said with a smile. I smiled back and held out my hands. He took them and I helped him from the ground. We handed out the presents, and the children cheered and ripped open their present. They all seemed to love what they received.

"What do you all say to Mr. Phantomhive?" the orphanage owner asked the children.

"Thank you!" the children said in unison. Ciel smiled and replied, "It was my pleasure." after a moment, Ciel gently tapped my shoulder. I turned to me, and he held out a small children's book to me with a small smile. I returned the smile and said, "Thank you."

"Who would like a story?" I asked, holding up the book. The children cheered. 'I'll take that as a yes.' I sat down in one of the two rocking chairs on the far side of the room, Ciel sitting in the other, and began to read to the children. Before I turned the page, I turned the book around so they could see the pictures. They 'oo'ed and 'ah'ed.

When I was finished, I shut the book and the children clapped. "Thank you for reading to us, miss!" one child said.

"You're very welcome." I said, smiling sweetly.

"Yea! Thank you, pretty lady!" another child said, running up to me and throwing his arms around me. I laughed and hugged him back. I turned to Ciel just as a little girl about four years-old came up to him. She was holding the new toy she got- a rag doll.

"Can I sit in your lap, Santa?" she asked in a sweet voice. Ciel smiled and lifted her up, setting her down on his lap. The girl squealed and hugged him tightly. "Thank you, Santa!" she said. "You've made this the bestest Christmas ever!"

"I'm glad." Ciel said, hugging her back. A few other children came up to him.

"What about me, Santa?" one child asked.

"I wanna sit in lap, too!"

"One at a time, children!" I said, trying not to laugh. "Santa can only handle so much at once!" Ciel shot me a thankful glance as the children formed what was supposed to be a line.

"Santa?" a little boy asked. "I have a question."

"Go on." Ciel said.

"Why are you wearing an eye patch?"

"Santa has eye problems." he answered. I giggled. It was the way he said it that made me laugh. He called himself 'Santa'.

"I have a question for Santa!" another girl said.

"What is it?" Ciel asked.

"Is that Mrs. Clause?" he asked, pointing at me.

"What makes you ask that?" Ciel said, blushing ever-so-slightly.

"Because you keep looking at her with googly eyes!" she said, making big eyes and giggling, making the other children laugh. I blushed at that comment. 'He is?' I looked to Ciel, and his face was about as red as his suit.

"Maybe I am Mrs. Clause." I said, smiling innocently. I was wearing a red dress, so I could pass as 'Mrs. Clause'.

"Wha-wha" Ciel stuttered, staring at me with a huge eye.

"Are you really?" a boy asked.

"It makes sense, since I think Santa likes her!" another child said. Children can be very observant. He does like me.

I giggled and stood next to Ciel's chair, bending down so my face was level with his pink one. I wrapped my arms around his neck and gently pressed my cheek to his arm one. "Well?" I asked. "What do you think?" the children all gave their agreement to the guess that I was Mrs. Clause.

"But how can we be sure?" one child asked.

"I'll help you out." I said. Then, I turned my head so I was staring at the side of Ciel's face. I leaned in and placed a tender kiss on his cheek. I smirked lightly when I felt it quickly heat up.

"She is Mrs. Clause!" the children cheered. I laughed and gently pinched Ciel's cheek. "Smile," I whispered in his ear. "Mr. Clause." Ciel looked at me with a wide eye. I laughed at him. Ciel smiled lightly and shook his head.

A few minutes later, we were getting ready to leave. I was saying goodbye to the children when I saw Ciel out of the corner of my eye. He was talking with the orphanage owner, and he handed her a briefcase. She opened it, and her eyes went wide. She closed it, placed it on the floor, and bowed, saying something to him.

When we were back in the carriage, Ciel sighed in relief and slouched in his seat. "Children are exhausting." he mumbled. I giggled and gently rubbed his back.

"They loved you." I said encouragingly.

"They loved me a little too much." he said, and I laughed.

"I have something to ask you." I said, Ciel sat up and turned to me, raising a brow. "What was in that briefcase you gave the orphanage owner?" I asked.

"Donations." Ciel said quietly. My eyes widened, and I smiled.

"Thank you, for helping out that orphanage when my parents couldn't." I said, wrapping my arms around his waist and resting my cheek on his shoulder.

"I'm glad I can make you happy." Ciel said, stroking my hair with one hand. He gently grabbed my chin with the other and brought it up so I was looking at him. He smiled softly, and our lips found each other.

I felt his tongue touch by bottom lip, and I opened my mouth. Our tongues fought for dominance. Ciel won. When we pulled apart, I laughed and said, "I don't think Santa goes around kissing girls."

"This Santa does." Ciel said with a grin. I laughed again, and we kissed again. Over, and over. We never even realized when the carriage came to a stop, and Sebastian had opened the door.

"Ahem." said a deep voice. We froze, and our eyes flew open. Ciel slowly removed his mouth from mine, and turned around. Sebastian was smiling innocently at us. I blushed, and Ciel did as well.

"Once again:" Ciel said. "Damn you, Sebastian."

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

Ciel's POV

It was now Christmas Eve- the time really flies when you're lost in thought. Katheryn, Sebastian and I were walking along the side of the street. There were many people out doing last-minute Christmas shopping.

"Sebastian." I suddenly said.

"Yes, my Lord?" he answered.

"Go get 'the package'." I said with a light smirk. "It should be ready by now."

"Yes, Master." Sebastian said with a grin, then he took off into the crowd.

"'The package'?" Katheryn questioned, looking at me with a raised brow. I smiled innocently.

"What about it?" I asked. She sighed, making me hold back a chuckle. I loved teasing her. And, I loved her. I hadn't told her yet; I had something special planned.

"What is it?" she asked, curiosity ringing in her voice.

"It's a surprise." I said, attempting to wink even though only one of my two eyes was visible. This made Katheryn giggle. "Are you laughing at me?" I asked, blushing.

"No." she said, holding back a fit of giggles.

"You obviously are." I said, pouting and facing forward once again. We walked up and down the block a few times, waiting for Sebastian to get back, Katheryn holding onto my arm. After a few more minutes, Sebastian appeared in front of us.

"That took quite a while." I said.

"I apologize, Master. The store was rather busy." he said, bowing. I nodded, and we went on our way home.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

Katheryn's POV

I awoke the next morning to sunlight streaming through the windows. Also, I awoke to Mey-Rin, Bardroy, and Finny running around screaming, "It's Christmas!" I giggled and got up, quickly dressing. I exited my room, only to nearly be glomped to the ground by three excited people.

"It's Christmas!" Finny said cheerfully, wrapping his arms around me and lifting me from the ground, spinning around. When he finally set me down, I was quite dizzy. The trio practically dragged me down the staircase and to the tree, where presents laid underneath it. They let me go, and I panted for breath. 'So much energy in the morning! A little too much, if you ask me.' I thought.

"Must you be so loud in the morning?" a voice asked. Everyone silenced and looked to the top of the stairs, where Ciel stood with Sebastian behind him.

"Sorry, Master!" Mey-Rin said.

"We're just so excited!" Finny said, smiling widely.

"This day only comes once a year!" Bardroy said. Ciel sighed, and made his way down the stairs.

"Merry Christmas, Master!" Mey-Rin, Bardroy, and Finny exclaimed happily as he walked up to us.

"Merry Christmas." Ciel said, a small smile on his face.

We began opening the presents that were waiting for us. Ciel and I had bought a present for all of the servants. Mey-Rin got a new dress, Finny a book filled with pictures of nature, and Bardroy a shotgun. I made him vow to only use it for target practice or defending the manor, knowing that he liked to use weapons in the kitchen. We also got Sebastian a new tail coat. I got Ciel a pocket watch, since he was always complaining about never knowing the time. The servants had pitched in a bit of money and gotten us a present as well. I got a book, and Ciel got a beautiful blue vest, matching his eye. Then, there was only one left. Ciel's gift to me.

Ciel walked over to the Christmas tree and bent down, picking up the last gift. It was a small, bright blue box with a silky white ribbon tied around it, tied in a bow. He handed it to me with a nervous yet tender smile.

"Merry Christmas, Katheryn." he said as I took it from his hand. I smiled, and pulled at the bow, untying it and letting it drop to the floor. I slowly opened the box, and gasped loudly.

"Ciel!" I said, shock dripping from my voice. It was probably written all over my face, too. He had given me a necklace with a beautiful blue diamond, matching with the blue in my eyes. It was on a silver chain. I took it out of the box and held it up for everyone else to see. The servants, save for Sebastian, 'oo'ed and 'ah'ed. I noticed something engraved on the back of the necklace, in the silver that the stone was in.

I set the box on the floor and held the necklace with both hands. I brought it closer to my face and read the words. Just as I was reading the words, Ciel leaned forward and whispered in my ear.

"I love you." he whispered. My eyes widened. That was what was written on the back of the necklace; 'I love you'. I slowly lowered the necklace and stared at Ciel. He smiled sweetly at me. Tears obscured my view. 'He loves me! He loves me!' were the only words running through my mind.

I threw my arms around his neck and cried, "I love you too, Ciel!" the servants started fangirling- save for Sebastian, of course, whom only smiled. I heard Ciel breath a sigh of relief, and he hugged me tightly.

When we finally pulled apart, Ciel gently took the necklace from my hands, and gestured for me to turn around. I turned my back to him, and moved my hair away. He lifted the necklace over my head, letting the stone rest on my sternum. He clasped it behind my neck, and I put my hair back down. I turned back to face him and said, "Thank you so much, Ciel." he smiled, and wrapped his arms around my waist once again, bringing me closer to him.

"You're welcome." he said, smiling at me. I returned his smile. We heard a few giggles, and turned our heads to see the servants all standing side-by-side. Bardroy was holding a long stick up, and he was wiggling his eyebrows suggestively. Our eyes followed the stick, and we saw something hanging about a foot above our heads. It was mistletoe.

Our eyes met once again, and Ciel smiled. He leaned forward, and placed his lips on mine.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .

Awww! They love each other! It's about time, huh?

This chapter is extra long for one reason and one reason only: I got carried away. Haha.

Sorry if there is any OOCness in this story. I'm trying to keep them in character, but because of the plot, their character has to change a little. Hopefully it's not too much.

Hope you enjoyed this chapter!
