Time: Is your character typically early or late? Do they value their time or find it slipping away easily?

Grant Ward's alarm clock goes off at exactly 0530. If he isn't already awake when said alarm clock goes off, he is awake as soon as it does. It takes him less than 30 minutes to have a shower, get dressed and prepare himself some sort of breakfast in the kitchenette of the 'bus'. At 0600 he makes his way to Skye's bunk and forces her out of it and down to the cargo hold for training.

Grant Ward is her alarm clock. Skye could sleep in until midday, even if she'd gone to sleep at 1900 the day before. She says it's a talent, and that she would win an Olympic gold medal in sleeping if it was to be considered a sport. For ten minutes she complains and grumbles about it not being a decent hour and it takes her the remainder of the hour to shower, dress and eat breakfast before she heads down to the cargo bay at 0700.

After the two become a couple, the routine only changes slightly.

Grant Wards alarm clock still goes off at 0530. He is most definitely awake before said alarm clock goes off, with Skye having rolled over an hour earlier and woken up when she bumps into his warm body. He's woken up shortly after with her dropping tired and lazy kisses on his shoulder and chest with her hands pressed to his waist. It's difficult for him to leave the bed at 0530 because of this, and most mornings he won't be out of bed going to shower until 0620.

Skye joins him almost 90% of the time. Other mornings she'll stay in bed until he's finished trying to gain those 10 minutes extra sleep before he's pulling the sheets off of her and shaking his wet hair over her to wake her up properly. Despite what way it goes, the pair are out in the kitchenette at 0645 and on their way to the cargo bay at 0700 for training.

The routine holds for seven months. The rest of the team had gotten used to the idea that this was a real thing about two months in, and all of this had just evolved to fit into small changes of their own morning routines.

However, when the pair learn that the young hacktivist is pregnant, the routine is out the window.

There are nights in the beginning of her pregnancy that she isn't at all affected by morning sickness. Where she wakes Grant Ward up before 0530 and fights him for more sleep when he decides they need to go shower. They both will still head to the cargo bay at 0700 for training, but Skye will sit out of most of it instead of completing a full morning with her SO.

Then there are nights that has her awake before 0200, hunched over the adjoining bathroom in their bunk and Grant Ward rubbing small circles on her back and whispering assurances that she's okay in her ear. She cries every time she throws up, and even if she's finished emptying her stomach contents into the toilet after 30 minutes, the pair sit on the bathroom floor while she frets about her potential of being a good mother and whether or not she'll raise the child right. Or if he'll leave her because she's a bad mother, or he'll get hurt in the field and they won't reach him in time and she'll have to do it all alone.

Neither of them get back to bed before 0400 on these nights, and neither one is awake before 0800 without being forced out by another member of the team.

When the morning sickness dies down, later on in her pregnancy, this routine is set back in place, with only minor adjustments to take into account Skye no longer being allowed in the cargo bay for training or around weapons. With Grant Ward going back to his original routine, and Skye staying in bed until 0900 when he comes to wake her up after training.

It's after young Olivia Ward is born, and the small two bedroom home with the white-picket fence in the middle of Massachusetts is bought, that the pair gain some form of routine again. But they allow for leniency, as the young girl was certainly lucky enough to inherit her mother's free-will and stubbornness. Something that neither would deny made mornings a lot more of a challenge than they were on the 'bus'.

Apologizes profusely with hugs and kisses, then goes back to sleep.

And another apology to anyone who say the funny looking chapter. Come on ffnet. What's up with you lately?

Thank you!
