Please, don't forget to vote! Should Sebastian stay or go at the end of this fanfiction? So far, I only have two votes, and it's a tie.
Stay- 1
Go- 1
If you want to vote, please do so by reviewing or sending me a PM. Just one vote could change the entire story. That vote could be yours! Please vote pronto!
Thanks to AquaBluey, BloodDDB, and AnimeAvianAmericanShadeslayer for reviewing! So glad you guys like it!
AnimeAvianAmericanShadeslayer: That is a really good idea you have. If the voting ends up with Sebastian going, I'll try my best to write a sequel about it (but you're going to have to help me here and there, if you don't mind).
Also, thanks to all of the followers and favoriters of this story! I love you guys so much!

. . . . . . . . . . . . .
I awoke to the sound of curtains being drawn back. I groaned and buried my face further into the soft fabric of a nightshirt. . . wait. . . nightshirt? And what is wrapped around me? I rubbed my eyes and slowly opened them. Laying in front of me was Ciel, just starting to awaken himself. 'Oh, that's right.' I thought as I recalled what happened last night. 'Ciel was worried, so he slept beside me last night.'
I craned my stiff neck and looked over my shoulder, squinting at the bright light seeping through the window and into the room.
"Sebastian?" I asked wearily.
"Good morning, Miss Juliet." Sebastian answered, turning from the window and facing me. "I was wondering where my young Master wandered off to last night." he said with a smirk. I was still half-asleep, so my mind didn't get what he was hinting at. I just groaned and turned back around. I was nice and warm in Ciel's arms. I didn't want me or him to get up.
Ciel dragged a hand through his dark hair and and squinted at the bright light. His eyes found mine, and he gave a tired smile. "Good morning." he said, his words a bit slurred together.
"Good morning." I replied, returning his smile. I slowly sat up, Ciel's arms falling from my body. He continued to lay there, staring upwards. "Time to get up." I said, poking him in the stomach. "You need to go get dressed and ready." Ciel just groaned, and pushed the covers off of him.
He threw his legs over the bed, standing and walking towards the door. He practically dragged his feet as he disappeared from sight. Sebastian shut the door behind them, and I was alone once more. I quickly got up and got dressed, choosing a lovely dark green dress, nearly touching the floor. I fixed my hair into a half-up half-down style. I also put on the necklace that Ciel had given me. Lucky for me, I wasn't wearing it when we were kidnapped.
I walked into the library, where Mey-Rin happened to be. "Good morning, Mey-Rin!" I greeted cheerfully. She turned around and smiled widely at me.
"Good morning, Juliet!" she said.
"What can I do to help?"
"Could you dust this bookcase right here?" she asked, handing me a feather duster and pointing to a bookcase to my left.
"Of course!"
A little while later, the room was nice and sparkling clean. Just as I was about to leave, the door opened, revealing Sebastian.
"Miss Juliet?" he asked, standing in the doorway.
"Yes, Sebastian?" I asked, turning to face him.
"My Lord requests that you be ready for an outing immediately after breakfast this morning." he said, giving a small smile.
"Of course." I said. "Where are we going?" Sebastian smirked at my question.
"My Lord wishes it to remain a surprise."
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
After breakfast, I put on my black gloves and hooded cloak and walked downstairs. I stood in front of the front door and waited for Ciel and Sebastian to arrive. While I was waiting, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched. I looked around, but couldn't see anyone nearby. I was beginning to get a bit frightened.
Thankfully, Ciel and Sebastian came into view on the stairs. I breathed and small sigh of relief and smiled. Ciel had on his top hat, gloves, cloak, and he also had his walking stick. Sebastian had his long black coat on.
When they reached the bottom of the stairs, Ciel returned my smile, and led me out the front doors to the awaiting carriage outside. A moment after we got in, we felt the carriage begin to move. Ciel sat quietly across from me, his walking stuck standing upright between his knees, both hands resting on top of it. He stared out the window at the passing countryside.
"Where are we going?" I asked after a few minutes. Ciel glanced at me, then returned his attention back to the window, a small smile on his face.
"You'll see." he answered, much to my dismay. I hated it when everyone else knew something that I didn't, and wouldn't tell me what it was.
I sighed and crossed my legs, lacing my fingers together and placing them over my top knee. I stared at my hands and twiddled my thumbs in anticipation.
After what seemed like forever, we reached London. There were several people walking down the sidewalks and coming out of or going into shops. We passed by several buildings and people along the way, but we never stopped. I was getting more and more anxious by the minute. Ciel seemed to find it amusing.
"When are we going to get there?" I groaned loudly.
"Soon." Ciel answered calmly, a small smirk on his face. "We're almost there."
"Where's 'there'?" I asked.
"Somewhere around here." Ciel answered, making me let out a high-pitched growl of frustration. The suspense was killing me.
"Damn you, Ciel." I said as I crossed my arms and pouted, glaring at the floor. Ciel chuckled and answered, "I love you, too."
A few moments later, we came upon a street with townhouses lined up all along the sides of the road. I recognized this place. But, he couldn't be taking me there. . . could he?
We finally came to a stop in front of a townhouse. I townhouse I recognized. My eyes widened, and I looked over to Ciel. His eyes were already on me, and he was smiling tenderly at me.
"Ciel?" I asked quietly. 'Is this a joke?' Ciel nodded his head in conformation. He had brought me to the home of the only people I had left in my family; my blood uncle and my aunt. I smiled widely as I felt tears come to my eyes. It had been so long since I had seen them. I had missed them both so much.
"Oh, Ciel!" I said happily as I threw myself on his, hugging his neck tightly. He wasn't prepared for that. "Thank you! I love you so much!" I squealed as I pressed my lips to his. He wasn't prepared for that, either. I pulled away before he had the chance to kiss me back or even close his eye. There was a light dusting of pink on his cheeks. It made him look so cute.
I smiled brightly at him, and he returned it, wrapping an arm around me and placing it on my back. Just then, the door to the carriage opened, revealing Sebastian. He smiled innocently and said, "Someone is very happy to be here." I only giggled, allowing him to help me from the carriage.
We walked up to the door, and Sebastian knocked on it. A few seconds later, the door opened, revealing a maid dressed in an emerald green dress, with a white apron covering the front of her dress. She had dark brown hair that was pulled back in a braid, and light brown eyes. She looked a little sad.
"How may I help you?" she asked, her eyes sweeping over all of us. When they fell on me, they widened. I knew she recognized me.
She had been here for a few years, and was one of the last people I saw before I went missing. She and I had been friends, and I would usually tease her playfully about a number of things. Her name was Jessamine.
I smiled at her and winked, and she gave a small nod, returning my smile.
"We're here to see Lord Rubin." Ciel said, his composure calm and collected.
"Of course." Jessamine replied eagerly, smiling brightly. "I will go see if he can see you. Please, come in and have a seat." she invited us inside and gestured to a couch sitting against the far wall.
"May I rake your coats?" she asked, holding her hands out. We gave them to her, and she put them on a nearby coat rack, along with Ciel's top hat.
Before she left, she stepped over to me and whispered, "My lady, I am so happy to see you." with a warm smile, which I returned. I gave her a quick hug before whispering back, "I missed you too, Jessamine." she gave me one last smile, then went up the stairs and disappeared around the corner. Ciel and I sat down side-by-side, Sebastian remaining standing by us.
I looked down to my hands and noticed one of my wrists was uncovered by my gloves, which I had kept on. I would have taken them off, but my dress had no pockets. I tried to pull it down with my other fingers, but they were gloved as well.
I sighed in exasperation and held my hand up to my face, grabbing the bottom of the glove with my teeth and pulling it down. 'There.' I thought as I gave a soft smile, content with myself. I noticed Ciel's head turned toward me, so I glanced over at him. He was looking at my hands, a very faint blush on his cheeks.
"What?" I asked, catching his attention. He looked up at my eyes, but immediately looked away.
"Nothing." he said, staring ahead. After a few seconds of thinking, I said, "Don't tell me you found that attractive."
"Of course not." Ciel answered, furrowing his brow. "How is that attractive?"
"I don't know." I said, then I decided to mess with him. "Sebastian can make it look pretty sexy."
"Well he's a you-know-what." Ciel said, glancing at me. "He has an excuse."
"So you find it sexy when Sebastian does it?" Ciel's cheeks lit up like a fire as he glared at me.
"My Lord," Sebastian said, putting a hand up to his mouth in fake shock. Then, he placed it by his head and said, pushing a small blush and smiling shyly "I never knew you found me. . . attractive."
"Oh, hush!" Ciel hissed, staring ahead and refusing to meet either of our eyes. "Both of you!" Sebastian and I had quite the struggle trying to contain our laughter.
I around looked at my surroundings. Nothing had changed since I had last been there. Everything looked exactly the same. 'I wonder. . . Is Michael still here?' I asked myself, thinking of the head butler.
He and I were also friends. His image appeared in my mind. He was a tall, handsome man with sleek black hair and bright green eyes. His hair was always styled upwards, giving him a very clean and professional appearance. He always wore a black tailcoat and an emerald green vest- emerald green was the main color of my family. I always liked to tease him and Jessamine about liking each other- which was true. I was always telling him to man up and tell her how he feels. He was never very good with handling his emotions. I was always friendly with the servants at my uncle's house, and I had befriended them all, too.
As if answering my question, a tall man passed by an open doorway, glancing in at us before disappearing to the other side of the wall. I heard his footsteps stop, and I saw him reappear in the doorway, his wide eyes fixed on me. I smiled at him, and he inquired quietly in a rich tenor voice, "My lady?"
"Hello, Michael." I said softly. A smile of his own graced his thin lips, and he stepped over to me. I stood from my seat and, before he could even breathe a word, wrapped my arms tightly around him, resting my cheek on his chest. "I've missed you." I said, looking up at him. He seemed a bit surprised a first, but he then responded by hugging my back.
When we pulled away, he bent down and said, "We've all been so worried about you, my lady." I smiled apologetically and said, "I know. I'm very sorry for worrying you. I'm fine now!" before he had the chance to respond, Jessamine came back down the stairs, a smile on her face.
"My Lord is ready to see you." she said. Michael stood straight again, and turned to face her. Their eyes met for a moment before they both looked away. 'They are so in love.' I thought. Michael gave me one last smile before going back to his duties.
"My Lord has requested to see you now. I apologize for the wait." Jessamine said, a small smile still fixed on her face. She then led us up the stairs to my uncle's study.
I tried to remain calm and collected on the outside. But, on the inside, I was bouncing off the walls at the thought of finally getting to see my uncle again. My aunt- his wife- should have been somewhere around the townhouse as well. I loved her as if she was my own blood family. We finally reached the familiar door to his study, and I found that my hands were shaking ever-so-slightly. I laced them together to try and hide that fact.
Jessamine opened the door, and stepped aside for us to enter. Ciel went in first, then Sebastian and I followed. Jessamine also stepped inside, shutting the door softly behind her. She stood in front of a wall, her hands by her sides and a small smile still gracing her lips.
That's when I saw him. My uncle was sitting in his chair in front of his desk, staring down at some paperwork. A sad frown was fixated on his face, sadness and longing in his brown eyes. He had a shadow of a beard on his face, making him look even more tired and stressed. There were dark circles under his eyes, most likely from lack of sleep. There was a tuft of gray in his hair on the right side of his head, right beside his temple. The window behind him put a slight shadow of darkness on his face, but made his matching brown hair shine along the edges. I knew exactly why he was sad.
He lost his brother, whom he loved. He lost his sister-in-law, whom he loved like a sister. And, he thought he lost his niece, whom he also loved. I was sad myself, but at least I still had my aunt, uncle, and Ciel. I still had a fragment of hope left. He, on the other hand, thought he had lost nearly everything. All he thought he had left was his wife- my aunt.
"What brings you here, Earl Phantomhive?" my uncle's tenor voice asked, not looking up. His voice didn't contain the same happiness and carefree qualities that it had when I had last seen him so long ago. It contained sadness, tiredness, stress, and no hope. He finally looked up, his expression blank.
He looked to Ciel, Sebastian, then finally to me. His eyes widened, and he immediately looked away. He stared downwards and rubbed his temples with one hand, then ran it through his matted hair. He didn't seem to believe it was really me.
"I'm seeing things again." he muttered to himself. Then, he sighed. "I apologize, Earl. I haven't been in very good shape ever since. . ." he then trailed off. "Well, you know."
"It's understandable." Ciel said. "I came here for a very specific reason."
"Which is?" my uncle asked, looking up at Ciel and staring him in the eye, not looking back at me.
"I've brought with me someone you may know." Ciel said, a tiny smile gracing his lips. "She is your niece, Lord Rubin." my uncle's eyes widened, and he looked back at me once more. He slowly stood from his seat, his eyes never leaving mine, mine never leaving his.
"Juliet?" he asked quietly, hope in his eyes and voice.
"Hello, Uncle William." I greeted, smiling kindly at him. His eyebrows rose and his eyes widened further.
"That's really you?" he asked, a hopeful smile finding it's way onto his face. I nodded.
"Who else would it be?" I asked. He stared even deeper into my eyes, and a wide smile graced his lips as well as my own. We unanimously ran to each other, meeting halfway. I jumped into his arms and tightly wrapped my arms around his neck, my feet leaving the ground. I could no longer contain the tears of joy I had been holding back as I felt his arms around me just as tightly. He was real.
"I've missed you so much." my uncle said, his voice trembling. "I thought I would never see you again!" he stroked my hair with one hand as he kept the other around my waist, holding me up. I hiccuped and held him even tighter.
"I missed you more." I managed to choke out past my tears.
"I missed you most." he said softly. I hiccuped again, squeezing my eyes shut to try and stop the tears. I opened my eyes again, and we pulled back, staring at each other, as if to confirm it really was the other.
We smiled at each other, and Uncle William kissed me on the cheek, which I returned. Then, we hugged again. Just then, the door opened. Uncle William set me back down on my feet, and we both turned to see who it was.
Michael was standing behind a woman with golden blonde hair and hazel eyes. A smile was on his face. The woman stepped into the room, and Michael shut it behind him, standing beside Jessamine. The woman's straight hair was a neatly brushed, but a bit matted, and left down to graze her shoulders. She had some of her hair tucked behind her ear to allow her to see. She began to speak.
"William, Michael says that there is someone here that-" she stopped when her eyes met mine. "Wha-" she said, shock evident on her face. "Juliet?"
"Aunt Azalea!" I said happily, racing up to her. I threw my arms around her, and she did the same. Something didn't add up. I pulled away, confusion written on my face.
I looked down to my aunt's stomach, which was swollen to the size of a cantaloupe. I gently poked it with my pointer finger and looked up to my aunt's kind face. "What happened?" I asked. "Are you pregnant or something?" I joked, but my aunt's face was serious yet kind. She nodded.
"Huh?" I asked, stepping back. "Really?" Aunt Azalea smiled and nodded.
"We were going to tell you the night of your birthday. . ." Uncle William started, trailing off. "But. . . you know. . ."
"You weren't there." my Aunt finished for him, a sad look crossing her face. My face fell a bit, but I forced myself to smile again.
"I'm here now." I said, giving a kind smile, which my aunt and uncle returned. "But. . ." I said, trying to decide on how to tell them. "it's not quite over yet."
"Pardon?" Uncle William asked, raising an eyebrow with alarm in his eyes.
"There's still one more person out to get me." I said, a grave look on my face. My uncle's expression darkened, but he remained silent. "I'm sure I'll be alright." I said, pushing a small smile. "Ciel has helped me this long." every eye looked to Ciel, whom had stood in silence and watched with a warm blue eye.
"So you've been the one helping her all this time." Uncle William said, a small smile spreading across his face. "Thank you, Lord Phantomhive." he said, bowing to him. My aunt smiled at him and gave a curtsy.
"You don't have to thank me." Ciel said, the smallest of smiles on his face. "Helping your niece has proven to be quite the challenge. I don't mind a good, hard challenge every one in a while. I'll continue to help Juliet until every last person is out of her way for good." this made me smile. Ciel kept his eyes locked on my uncle's, his hands resting on top of his walking stick. My uncle stared intensely at him, then he cocked his head to the side. I knew he was thinking about something. He raised his hand to his chin and held his elbow with the other.
"Hm." he grunted. "Interesting." I knew he had something on his mind. He said that whenever he was thinking long and hard about something. I was starting to think he was putting two and two together. My uncle was very smart, and nothing left without meeting his attention first.
Uncle William turned to me and, out of the blue, said "That's a very lovely necklace you have there." 'Uh-oh.' I tried my best to remain calm under his stare.
"Thank you." I said with a smile.
"Who gave it to you?" he asked. I could see the curiosity and mischief in his eyes. 'Oh my.'
"Well. . ." I said, not being able to bring myself to say it. I felt my face begin to heat up from nervousness. How would he react if he knew Ciel and I were in love?
"It couldn't possibly be Lord Phantomhive." he said, but I knew he was lying. He knew. . . "So who was it?"
". . ."
". . ." we continued to stare at each other, and I began to feel as if I were constantly shrinking under his intense stare.
"Or was it Lord Phantomhive?"
". . ." I blushed harder. Uncle William turned to Ciel, whom looked a bit uncomfortable.
"Was it you?"
". . . Yes." Ciel answered after a moment, a dusting of barely visible pink on his cheeks.
"Why?"
". . ."
". . ." they stared at each other, neither refusing to give up. "Perhaps your butler knows." my uncle said, smirking lightly as he looked o the tall man in black behind him. Sebastian smirked widely.
"Don't you dare." Ciel said harshly as he glared menacingly up at him. "Don't say a single word, Sebastian." Sebastian looked like he wanted to laugh so badly. He also seemed to want to say why he gave it to me, which was pretty obvious. But he couldn't disobey a direct order from his master, so he had to remain silent.
My uncle walked over to me and bent down, examining my necklace. He touched the gem with his fingertips, then flipped it over. 'Oh, dear. He's too smart!' His face remained neutral as he read what was on the back, then he flipped it back over.
Avoiding my eyes, he stood straight again and turned back to Ciel, whom was blushing. "So you love my niece, huh?" he asked Ciel. Ciel blushed profusely, but still stood his ground.
"Yes." Ciel answered, staring him in the eye. "I am deeply in love with Juliet." this made me blush. I had heard him tell me he loved me several times before, but never to anyone else. And so boldly! A smile broke out on my uncle's face.
"I never knew anyone- let alone my own niece- could melt the icy heart of Ciel Phantomhive!" my uncle said happily. "Congratulations!" my eyes widened. 'He has no objections?'
After giving Ciel a few warnings- like what a father would do- Ciel, Sebastian and I left to return to the mansion. I had told Uncle William that I would remain staying with Ciel until this was all over. I was a bit sad to leave their townhouse. There wasx a voice in the back of my head reminding me that I may never see them again. I tried my best to ignore it.
"Everyone loves you there." Ciel commented, staring out the window, looking at the passing people and buildings in London.
"I love them, too." I said. "I had never realized how much my disappearance had impacted them." I said smiling sheepishly. I wrapped my arm around Ciel's and laid my head on his shoulder. "But I'm thankful that we met." I said quietly.
"I agree." he answered. I closed my eyes and thought of all the good times Ciel and I had shared.
I thought about the first time we met, after he took me in. I thought about how I found out about Sebastian being a demon. Our billiards game. All the times we had assisted the Queen together. Falling for him. Kissing him for the first time. Especially that kiss. It was still burned in my mind, never to be forgotten. I remembered how wonderful I had felt when Ciel confessed his love for me.
I loved him so much. I couldn't imagine life without him anymore. I hoped he felt the same way. I hoped we would be together forever. As long as we had love in our hearts, we could never be separated.
We had both begun to let go of our hatred for the people of our past. I had watched Ciel's heart soften. One thing confused me: Sebastian didn't seem angry at all. I would have to ask him about that.
When Ciel and I had first met, he was cold and calculating. Like Uncle William had said, I had melted his icy heart. He was so kind and gentle now.
I had changed myself. I had only cared about surviving and getting rid of the people that had hurt me and killed my parents. Ciel had felt the same, but his hatred and thirst for revenge was greater and had led him to make a contract with a demon. We were softened by each other.
We were letting go.
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
Aww! SO kawaii! Who agrees?
Juliet finally got to see her aunt and uncle again! How happy.
Please remember to vote! Should Sebastian stay or go? I really don't know which to pick, so I thought you guys should. PM me or leave a review stating your vote!
Somebody wants to get Juliet. Any ideas who it could be? I'll give you guys a few hints:
1)It's someone that hasn't been in the story yet so far.
2) He's going to be an OC of mine.
3)If you read one of the previous chapters carefully, you'll notice something about one of Juliet's family members. The person out to get her is doing it because of something that happened to that person. Try and put two and two together!
Hope you enjoyed this chapter!
