A Poem for my Sweetheart
You can find the trees in the forest easily, but its hard to find the forest in the trees
It seems as if we're all connected, but we live a different life
Searching, we all wish to find our roots and reunite them with the other they're supposed to be with
It seem impossible, but it's really just a journey to the center of the forest
A great journey indeed, no help and all you got is yourself
Its hard to find your forest and understand others when it seem you're only a tree with only one lifetime
A tree with a beating heart, waiting to catch a glimpse of what another may look like
A long journey ahead
You find a tree and search for its forest
Is that really how it goes? Do you actually have to search for it?
A deeper meaning in the fact of love
A deeper thought in the philosophy of the heart over mind
A tree indeed, a tree indeed
A journey is not to be discovered but uncovered
Dig up the roots as you go to find your other heart beat, one with the ground
A different forest, one you can find your roots in
Your heart I was able to grab but your forest not so easy
I thought and thought and thought about your roots and your forest
I've come to the decision that I have found the forest in your trees
And our roots can be nowhere but together
Our love can only be created by heart and the combination of our forests
We love and understand each others and are able to prevail
I just never wanna feel disconnected to your forest or let go of your roots
For our lifetime, I wish to spend the rest with you
My journey is complete
I've mastered your philosophy and understand love over mind
For what paths shall we cross?
I've found the trees in the forest and I've discovered the forest in the trees
I found that I belong with you
