Piper POV
I was in the back left corner in History class, not really paying attention to the lecture, when I felt my phone buzz in my back pocket.

yeah, maybe….. (mysterious face activated)
I looked over at Korra in the other back corner of the classroom and rolled my eyes at her. It was then that I decided to listen to the constant drone of the teacher until class ended.
I was on my way to my next period when I felt the presence of someone following me, so I turned around and quickly stopped, only to end up on the floor. I looked up into electrifying blue eyes and hoped I wasn't blushing.
"Sorry 'bout that, Pipes." Jason said while helping me up off of the ground. "S'kay, but why were you following me?" I questioned. 'Maybe he's not telling me something…' "Well, I was going to science. I didn't realize I was walking so close to you. Sorry if I made you feel like I'm a stalker." Jason explained, scratching his head and looking down.
"No, seriously, it's okay. And I'm sort of glad, 'cause now I have someone to walk science with!" We then took our seats next to each other in the back of the classroom. After a while of actually paying attention, I felt a note hit my desk.
(Jason/Piper)
Hey, are you sitting with us at lunch?
Yeah, why? Did you need to talk or something?
I threw the note back onto his desk. I then realized something: 'If he's not really paying attention to class, then something must be up.' I then felt the note hit my desk again.
Yeah, how'd you know?
You always pay attention to class.
When I get the note back, all it read was 'Oh'. I turned myself towards Jason and mouthed back "Yeah, oh." It's funny how I never get caught texting or passing notes in class. It's almost like the gods don't want me to get caught.
Just when I'm about to pay attention to class (haha, yeah right), I get a text.

I gape at what I just read.

Mako POV
I had Korra, Hazel, and Frank in my math class. I was half-listening to the teacher, but suddenly perked up when I heard the works "work in a group". I immediately took Korra's desk and slid it next to mine. She gave me a questioning look and opened her mouth as if she were about to say something, but was then cut off when Frank and Hazel joined their desks with ours.
"We figured since we'll be seeing you guys a lot, we might as well get to know each other more." Frank explained. "For example," Hazel started, looked around to see if anyone was listening, and lowered her voice, "I'm actually not from this time period. I died nearly half a century ago, but my half-brother, Nico diAngelo, son of Hades, brought me back to life for a second chance, believing I deserved to live more of my life. I'm only 13." I was shocked by what I just heard, and judging by the looks of Korra's face, I'd say she was just as shocked as I was.
"Wow, that's amazing. But may I ask you something?" Korra said slowly. "Sure." Replied Hazel.
"How are you in high school right now?" Korra asked, clearly confused. "Easy, I skipped a grade, and on top of that, since I already knew everything that freshman was taught; I got into higher level classes, explaining why I'm in this classroom right now." Hazel explained easily, earning her a whistle from Korra.
While Korra decided to go on her phone with the teacher distracted by another group, I took this opportunity to get to know Frank. "So, what about you?" I asked him. "Oh, well, I'm Chinese Canadian, I'm the son of Mars, an-"
"No, I meant your abilities, I figured Hazel could control the riches under the earth, but I'm not really sure if I really know what abilities you possess. Unlimited ammo in combat? No missing of the target?" I asked, not exactly sure if those were even real powers. "Oh, right. Pshh, I knew that. Anyways, I can shape shift, I'm pretty good with bow and arrows, and because I'm also the son of Mars, my life depends on a stick because I have 'too many gifts'." He explained cautiously.
I looked back at Korra to see her struggling with problem. I leaned over, and whispered in her ear, "Need help?"
She jumped a little, with a startled expression written all over her face. "No, thank you very much." "Yeah right, I know how much you struggle with math. You know, I could help you during free period today if you'd like?" I asked, not exactly sure how she'd respond.
"Well, I guess a little bit of help wouldn't hurt…Okay, but not during free period today, I promised Piper I would meet her in the library then." Korra replied, a hint of what sounded like confusion in her voice. "I could always come by your house after school today." I suggested, taking the chance to hang out with her. "But, how would you get home?" She responded. 'Seriously! Stop asking questions and say yes, already, woman!'
"You forget that I'm moving next door to you today. Besides, I'll come every day afterschool and next week, I can even start staying over longer to help you, seeing how my parents are hardly ever home except for whenever we move into a house on the first week." I quickly explained to her for the 5th time this week. "Oh, well when you put it that way, how could I refuse?" Korra joked.
"Haha, so, back to problem five…"

Piper POV
Korra and I sat in the least populated part of the library, the non-fiction section, talking. "So, again, why are we here?" Asked Korra. "Because, if we start talking about, you know, being demigods, we wouldn't exactly want anyone to overhear us and send blinking lights to any nearby monsters. And, how'd you know I liked Jason?" I said in a hushed tone.
"Puh-lease, I saw how you blushed when he fell on top of you in the hallway earlier. Asami taught me how to detect when someone has feelings for another person. That's actually how we met. I think it's kinda cute that you like him." Korra spoke to me, talking as if we had been BFF's since the womb.
"Aww, thanks. But I asked you here because right before you texted me, he passed me a note saying that he wanted to ask me something during lunch. Ugh, I wonder what it is! It's killing me as much as cliffhangers kill me, and I absolutely can't STAND cliffhangers!" (A/N True story, the wait for The House of Hades put me on edge for the entire year after The Mark of Athena) I said, worried. "Great, now I sound like my half-sisters, always complaining about guys! I'm a tomboy, for crying out loud!"
"Piper, even though you're a tomboy, it doesn't mean that you're not going to face the inevitable guy trouble. Heck, I'm a tomboy, and I have troubles getting Mako to even notice me. Though, I think that's all about to change soon, he's tutoring me, meaning we'll have more alone time, though, I really do need the extra help." Korra said. "So, all you need to do is somehow find a way to spend some time alone with him without raising any red flags."
"I guess I could try it…but how?" "I don't know, I'll leave you to figure that one out. Now, let's go before we're late to our next class." Korra said, hearing the bell ring, and hurrying out of the door.
~time skip to lunch~
Jason POV
I nervously sat in the back corner of the lunch room, waiting for Piper to show up. I was beginning to wonder when she would actually show up, asking myself a bunch of questions in my head. 'What's taking her so long? Why am I so nervous? Did she stand me up? She couldn't possibly stand me up. It's lunch time! She'll have to come sooner or later!' 'Or she could just skip lunch' my mind said. 'Shut up, mind!'
I was so deep into thought that I didn't see Piper coming until she slid into the seat next to me and shoved my shoulder a little. I nearly jumped out of my skin from the contact. "Wha…" I trailed off. "Why are you sitting here?" She said, gesturing towards the corner we were currently sitting in. "Oh…well, I figured that you'd like to sit here instead of under the eyes of everyone else in the lunch room." I said. 'And because it's much quieter over here.' I said to myself.
"Aww, you know me so well!" Piper said while playfully ruffling my hair.
"Anyways," I continued, removing Piper's hand from my hair, "I came here to ask you a favor." "What is it?" Piper asked, her voice and eyes full of concern.
"Well, it-" I was then cut off by Leo.
"Hey guys! Wassup? Man, history with Annabeth is NOT something you want to experience. I'm hungry." Leo turned towards Piper. "Go make me a sandwich." He said proudly. "No, you go make me a sandwich!" She responded, not noticing that she accidently used charmspeak on him. Leo then got up and walked away with a confused look on his face, mumbling something about the kitchen we had underneath the school in HQ.
"Well…um, that was awkward." I said after a few minutes of silence. "Yeah, my brain hardly processed that." Piper said with her hands on her head as if she had a headache.
"Actually, I change my mind, come over to my room after school and we'll discuss this then." I said. "Oh, okay, if that's what you want." Yeah, when I said my room, I meant the room I have in this gigantic house that the demigods currently reside in. Since most of our parents are gone, and the us demigods have nowhere to stay while attending school, Piper decided to ask her dad about a big place to stay in with a lot of rooms to stay in while attending her classes. Her dad wanted to come down and live with her so that he could look after her, but as much as I had been told her Piper that she wanted to say yes, she declined, saying she already had a 'chaperone' there. She then turned to Percy, who turned to his mom for help, and the rest is history.
"Hey, I'll race you back to gym." Piper said with eagerness written all over her face.
"You're on!" And with that, we ran out of the lunch room, but not before Piper got her sandwich from Leo.
OMIGOSH, I AM SORRY FOR THE EXTREMELY LONG WAIT! I had school, and I'm only a freshman in High school, so give me a break. No worries, I have chapters written lready up to 14, to I just have to type out those extremely long-ass chapters. Welp, I should be doing my laundry and the dishes before my mom gets home, and I'm getting hungry for another snack that I know I shouldn't have, so I'll see you guys next week! (ps, if you live in the Brooklyn area of New York, I'm headed up there next Saturday!)
