I luv ur fic: Thank you for the comment, but I'm gonna have to say no. I understand that you may see them that way, and think that that can be a good story, but personally I do not. I do hope however, that you soon find the fic you are describing and enjoy it, but this will not be it. I also hope you will still enjoy the rest of this fic, the way it is.
And thank you for that date. I'll be sure to watch it. ;)
Optimus fell back. Elita caught him before he could fall on his face.
Megatron laughed. "Ha! What's the matter Oppie? Didn't see that one coming mister Prime?"
Optimus stood back up, holding his jaw.
"Are you okay? You need Ryan to look at it?" Elita asked worriedly.
Optimus shook his head and put his hand on her shoulder reassuringly.
"Don't worry. I've lived through worse." Optimus said as he turned back to glare at Megatron. "And I'll live through this one too."
He walked up to Megatron. "You so want to do this don't you."
Megatron smirked and cracked his knuckles. "Been waiting all summer."
The accumulation of the two faction's members had created a circle around the two leaders. The Decepticons watched eagerly while the Autobots and the three present freshmen watched nervously. Several students even had their phones out and waited in sick anticipation.
"You don't think they're actually gonna—" Jack began before Arcee interrupted him.
"Yes. They are. And it is long overdue." She said.
Then they charged at each other.
Jack thought that the hillside battle was legitimate fighting. He was wrong. This, was legitimate fighting.
The two faction leaders threw punches at each other but both dodged them quickly and hit with all their strength.
Megatron threw a punch at Optimus. He dodged it and caught the arm and trapped it under his own. Optimus spun around and sent Megatron flying in the opposite direction.
On the floor, he growled and flipped himself back onto his feet. He ran at Optimus again, and raised his fist. Optimus readied himself for it, but it turned out that Megatron had been feigning and ended up kicking Optimus right in the stomach.
Optimus stumbled back. He clutched his mid-section and coughed. Megatron laughed some more.
"Can't take it can you book worm!" Megatron mocked as he walked over to the other boy.
Megatron raised his fist and brought it down, but just like before, Optimus was able to grab it at the last second.
With his opponent caught off guard, Optimus hit him with two strong punches to his stomach, and then a backhand to the face.
Megatron was half stumbling, half spinning away from the Autobot leader. When he stopped he turned back around angrily at Optimus.
"Did you just backhand me?" He demanded.
Optimus stared at him for a split second before his face broke into a wide smile.
"Huh. Yeah. I guess I did didn't I?" Optimus replied. "Heh. Not bad for a book worm wouldn't you say?"
Megatron growled again. Now he had decided that enough was enough and just straight up rammed himself into Optimus. He sent Optimus flying into the wall of people around them. They caught Optimus and got him back on his feet but quickly moved out of the way when Megatron charged at his opponent again. He sent Optimus flying back into a nearby tree.
Stunned, Optimus shakily stood back up. Megatron charged at him with his arm raised and Optimus got into a ready position. Then right before they could clash once again—
"Hey! Guys! Sentinel is coming up this way!" One kid shouted as he ran up the hill.
There was a collective gasp and all of the students began scrambling around the hill.
Samuel Tenient, or as the rest of the student body had aptly named him Sentinel, was the high council's selected head hall monitor. The school didn't always have a hall monitor, or a loyal watch dog as the students had also aptly named him. The high council had assigned hall monitors a little while after the faction war had started. When the hallway clashes and fights began happening.
He had actually replaced Paul Rownings as head monitor, but he had joined the Autobots, so the council demoted him because he had occasionally joined in on the fights.
Samuel had been beyond joyous when the council had told him that he was being promoted. He wouldn't let them down. Not to mention that he absolutely despised both factions and all the students involved in them.
"Factions". How stupid. This was a high end school and these were child prodigies. What was this? A convention where the kids could act like they were in Divergent? No, it wasn't and he was gonna make sure it didn't become one.
He was also very happy when the council had announced that they were giving the hall monitors the power to recommend expulsions in their daily reports. 4 times out of 5 the students that were recommended for expulsion ended up getting expelled.
He smirked at the thought of writing down the names of the students he would recommend for expulsion as he walked up the hill. One kid had tipped him off, albeit unwillingly, that there was an all out brawl going down, up on the Back Hill.
He walked up preparing himself for what he might see.
"Hey! What's going on up...here?" He exclaimed when he reached the top of the hill and saw...nothing.
Yeah. All of the students on the hill were seated and chatting amongst themselves peacefully. The only thing remotely out of the ordinary was Orion Pax and Mason Trone in the middle of the field, standing side by side with huge smiles on their faces.
"I really hate you for this." Megatron muttered through his teeth, still smiling.
"Just shut up and keep smiling." Optimus replied through his teeth.
Sentinel walked up to the two smiling boys and glared at them suspiciously.
"What're you two up too?" Sentinel demanded.
Megatron shook his head. "Nothing. Just hanging out here with my best buddy Orion!"
Megatron wrapped his arm around Optimus' neck and playfully but forcefully rubbed his clenched fist against Optimus' hair.
Sentinel knit his eyebrows at the odd sight as Optimus pulled away from Megatron and continued to force himself to smile.
"I heard that there was a fight happening up here." Sentinel said.
Optimus shook his head. "Nope. No fight up here. We're all just sitting or standing here peacefully. Right, old buddy?"
Optimus punched Megatron's arm. He growled under his breath and stood back up.
"Yep. Nothing to see here Senti–I mean Samuel." Megatron said. "You can go now. No need to report anything because there's nothing here to see...and you only report the things that you see right?"
Sentinel nodded reluctantly. "Yeah...carry on then, I guess."
Sentinel backed away slowly not taking his eyes off of the two students. He turned his back and walked down the rest of the hill. When he was about to reenter the school, he turned back abruptly only to see the two boys smiling at him and waving.
He huffed disappointedly and went back into the school.
When he was out of sight Optimus sighed with relief. Then gasped in shock when he was shoved to the ground.
Megatron was standing over him with a menacing glare. "Now where were we?"
Optimus jumped back up and clashed with the Decepticon leader. The came close to each other but before either could do anything, a pair of hands came between their faces and pushed them both away from each other.
It was Elita. She was standing between the two with her arms outstretched at the two.
"That's enough for one lunch you two! You guys almost got caught too! Back off!" Elita exclaimed.
"You don't order me around Ellie." Megatron snapped.
Elita turned to face him. "Maybe not but you'd be wise to listen to me on this one. Back off Mason before someone gets in trouble."
Megatron walked up close to her. He practically towered over the girl but she didn't back away. Megatron then nodded and turned to walk away. Several Decepticons got up and followed him. Elita sighed and turned around as well before Megatron spun around and yelled at her.
"He backhanded me!" He yelled.
Optimus pointed at him. "Keep walking! Save it for another time! She's right that was enough!"
Megatron huffed angrily and turned back around as the bell rang.
Hope you all liked it!
