A/N: A stupid little drabble I jotted down while working on another Zaeed/Shep one-shot.
She caught him on his way down to the Engineering. Zaeed kept moving, though he slowed down a step so they could walk together. Shepard asked him, grinning, "Has anyone ever told you that you say 'goddamn' a little too much? And by a little I mean it comes out every third sentence you speak."
Zaeed stopped then, causing Shepard to ram into his back. "Excuse me?"
Still smirking, Shepard shrugged. "You have a serious problem, Massani. I thought about holding an intervention for you but no one else gives a shit."
"I say 'goddamn' too much?" Talk about the goddamn pot calling the kettle black. Zaeed stared at her before continuing on his way. "Fascinating, Shepard. Talk to you later." As an mischievous afterthought, he added, "I should go."
She wasn't dissuaded. Shepard kept tagging along, saying, "Hold on, I wasn't goddamn finished."
Infuriatingly, Zaeed repeated, "I should go."
"Go where? What's so goddamn important?"
"I. Should. Go."
"Why do you keep saying that?!" Suddenly she blinked as if she finally understood. "Are you saying I say that? What? Do I? Goddamn it, Massani, answer me!"
