Elita was lying down on her bed texting and tweeting on her phone that night.
It wasn't until she got the notification of a new text did her night suddenly get exciting. It was a text from someone she hadn't heard from in the longest time.
[Hey Ellie, moving back Galaxy City. I'm gonna enter the Cybertron Academy in two weeks. See you then.]
After reading it Elita gasped and smiled widely.
"She's coming back! Oh my sweet sister the girl is coming back! Whoo!" Elita exclaimed.
The next day, when Jack sat down next to Elita in homeroom, he saw the huge smile on her face.
"Hey Elita. Huh, you look happy." Jack greeted.
Elita nodded. "Uh huh."
"Why?" Jack wondered.
"Because an old and very good friend of mine is coming back to Galaxy City, and she's gonna attend Cybertron!" Elita answered. "Her name is Dominique Prax. She went to middle school with us but then moved in our freshman year."
"Oh, well, what is she like?" Jack asked.
Elita had to think for a moment. "Sleepy and miserable."
Jack crossed his eyebrows. "What?"
Elita nodded. "Yeah, I think so. She's always sleeping in class and she's always complaining about how something is too chipper for her."
"And...she's a good friend of yours?" Jack wondered.
Elita smiled and nodded. "Yeah, she might be a downer when you first meet her but she'll grow on you trust me."
"Uh huh. Okay, if you say so." Jack said skeptically.
"Alright class." Mr. Ception proclaimed as he walked into the class. "Take out your notebooks and novels."
Lunch came around rather quickly. Jack met up with Raf and Miko at their lockers.
Jack noticed that Miko looked rather agitated. She kept putting her hair behind her ear and tapping on her books or locker door.
Jack thought about not asking her about it. Then his moral compass changed his mind, even though he knew that he would most likely regret his decision later.
"Miko, what wrong?" Jack asked.
Miko turned to face him. "It's about us joining the Autobots."
"What about it?" Raf wondered.
"I don't think we've proved ourselves to them yet. That, and our 28 days are almost up! What're we gonna do if we don't prove ourselves to them?" Miko exclaimed.
Jack stepped back. She was right. The three of them hadn't really done anything to prove their worth to the Autobot cause, and their 28 days were indeed almost up.
"Maybe they'll give us more time." Raf spoke.
"And if they don't? Grr! I refuse to go through my freshman year without being apart of the faction war!" Miko exclaimed.
"Well we have no choice but to wait and see what'll happen when the 28 days are up." Jack said.
Miko sighed. "I guess. It's just—grr! I wanna join them so badly!"
"We know Miko. Trust us we know." Raf told her.
The three freshmen walked together to the outside lunch area towards their usual table and Autobot friends.
Smokescreen waved at them.
"Hey guys. What took you so long?" He asked.
"Have we proven ourselves as Autobots yet?" Miko asked suddenly.
"What?" Bulkhead asked.
"Our 28 days are almost up Bulk! What if Optimus doesn't think we proved ourselves by then? What'll happen then?" Miko demanded.
Bulkhead stared at her with his mouth open, then turned towards his friends for assistance.
Ultra Magnus decided to step in.
"Optimus is a very understanding person, as well as very lenient. I'm sure that he wouldn't hold it against you if you don't make the 28 day timeline." He said.
"Okay, but would he give us more time to prove ourselves so we can join the faction?" Miko asked.
"Er, well, I've never seen him give more time before." Ultra Magnus replied. "But he'll give you another chance next semester."
"Grr! No! It has to be now! I'm not gonna wait four months!" Miko exclaimed.
Ultra Magnus sighed. "Well, you're gonna have to if you don't meet the deadline."
Miko groaned and put her head down on the table.
"Relax Miko. Worry about it when the deadline comes around." Jack said.
Miko slammed her fists onto the table. "You're not me Darby!"
Jack sighed and shrugged in defeat.
The Autobots continued to eat and talk while Miko sulked and Bulkhead tried to cheer her up.
That's when Elita came walking up the hill, and to the surprise of the Autobots and Decepticons alike, she was walking beside Megatron!
"What is she doing with him?" Wheeljack snapped.
They watched the two students talk for a few minutes. Megatron seemed oddly mellow as he spoke to Elita, however agitated.
Elita said something to him and tried to put her hand on his shoulder but he swatted her away. Then he shook his head and turned to stomp back down the hill.
Elita watched him go for a few moments before turning to walk over to the Autobots table.
"What was that all about Elita? Talking with Megatron? Just...what?" Arcee asked.
"Hm, oh, that was just a little personal talk." Elita replied.
"Personal talk about what?" Smokescreen wondered.
"Not my place to say." She answered simply as she took out her lunch.
"For real?" Bulkhead asked.
Elita nodded. "Uh huh, and that's all I'm willing to continue talking about okay?"
Several of the surrounding Autobots sighed and returned to what they were doing since it was clear that Elita wasn't going to say anymore.
The lunch time wasn't all that exciting until it was almost over. It was almost 10 minutes before the bell should have rung for the next period.
The Decepticons had been sitting at their table and watching the Autobits with annoyance.
"Why didn't Megatron let that glitch make herself useful for once? What the frag is wrong with him?" Starscream hissed.
Starscream turned to Soundwave who was typing away on his iPad.
"Do you know what's going on with him?" Starscream asked.
Soundwave turned his head towards the Decepticon SIC and shrugged.
"Don't give me that! You're the stalking hacker! You must know!" Starscream exclaimed.
Soundwave merely shrugged again before getting up from the table and leaving.
Starscream growled. Knockout leaned over to him.
"Hey Screamer calm down. If you really want something to happen to them—Breakdown, would you be so kind?" Knockout spoke.
Breakdown smirked and got up as he saw Bulkhead move from the table.
Bulkhead had gone to throw out his food into the nearest garbage bin, had Breakdown sneak up behind him.
Breakdown had walked up next to him and "accidentally" bumped into him, causing the contents of his food tray to spill onto him. Bulkhead gasped as it did so.
Breakdown snickered. "Oops. Sorry."
"You tryin' to start something?" Bulkhead demanded.
Breakdown shrugged. "I guess it all depends. Do you wanna make it into something?"
Bulkhead growled and rammed himself into Breakdown, then all hell broke loose.
Uh oh, another fight is coming.
Also, one, I need help with Jack, Raf, and Miko's faction names because...I got nothing.
Secondly, an OC will soon be attending the academy, just thought you all, should know.
Let me know what you think! Comment and review!
