Happy almost hour after Halloween! This is probably going to turn into a two or three part Halloween arc, so yeah. Make sure I hurry up okay guys? I have a trip this week and my conscious would be clear if I get thsi arc done by the time I leave.

Oh, and the lovely EHSparkwoman drew a cool cover for the fic. You can check it out when she posts it. I'll put a link when she provides one.

Anyways, this is a pretty fun chapter I think. Please enjoy.

Several more weeks passed by and before the students knew it Halloween was afoot. The halls of the academy had been decorated with orange and black. Fake cobwebs and rubber spiders hung from the ceilings and "eerie" music began to play in the mornings.

The three freshmen were surprised at the spirit for the celebration.

"Wow, you guys sure are taking Halloween seriously." Miko commented during one lunch.

"Yeah, not even my old elementary school was like this." Raf added.

"Totally." Smokescreen replied. "We at the academy love all of the holidays. We always go full out or not at all."

"And, on the night before Halloween, Cybertron Academy has an annual Courage Walk in the school." Wheeljack explained.

"What's that?" Jack wondered.

"Think a haunted mansion. We have to walk through the entire school, which by then has been rigged with scares and all that. And there's some frightening schist that they put us through. The students who can make it through the school with the least amount of screaming wins and gets jars of Halloween Energon candies." Bulkhead explained with a wishful expression at the mention of the candies.

"That sounds so awesome. I am so going." Miko exclaimed. "How about you guys?"

"Sure, why not." Jack said.

"Okay." Raf replied, sounding unsure.

"What's the matter Raf," Bumblebee beeped. "Oops, I mean Radar."

"Oh, well...I love Halloween Bee. I really do. It's just that the Courage Walk thing seems a bit...out of my range." Raf answered.

"Oh, I'm sure that you'll be fine. You're real brave y'know." Bumblebee replied.

Raf smiled at his fellow student's words.

Bumblebee smiled back.

"So, are you guys dressing up?" Miko asked.

Bulkhead widened his eyes at the question.

"What the frag kinda question is that? Of course we're dressing up! What kind of Halloween would it be if we didn't dress up?" Bulkhead exclaimed.

"Okay okay I get it jeez." Miko replied.

"There's also the Halloween dodgeball tournament." Arcee spoke. "A big Bot vs. Con showdown."

Arcee finished her drink before getting up.

"Alright, I'm gonna start heading to class."

Her friends said their goodbyes as they too began to pack up and head back into the school.

"I guess that we'd better get going as well." Bulkhead spoke as he threw his wrapper onto the ground.

"Ahem, the garbage is that way Bulk." Miko said, a little annoyed.

Bulkhead smiled at her.

"Don't worry about it," he replied "I'm just giving Knockout and Breakdown a little help after school."

Jack walked into the school on Halloween day wearing his police officer costume. Dark blue hat, short sleeve shirt and pants. A plastic gold sprayed badge sitting on his chest as he walked the halls of Cybertron Academy on their Halloween civvies day.

He got to his locker to see a girl with heavy, dark makeup. Dark eyeshadow and lipstic upon an unnaturally pale face. Her sleek black hair was down, covering the back of her dark violet cupcake style dress. She also had black heeled boots.

"Um, hi." Jack spoke a bit warily.

The girl snorted and chuckled.

"Yo Steadfast! It's me, Impulse!" the girl spoke.

Jack's jaw dropped.

"Miko? Er, Impulse," Jack exclaimed. "what the hell are you supposed to be?"

"I'm a Slash Monkey guitar player," she replied simply.

"Slash what now?"

"Slash Monkey. The Bulgarian shriek metal band?" Miko spoke as if Jack should have known this.

"Yeah, okay."

"Hm, anyway, I think you have a lot more to worry about than just my costume." Miko pointed behind Jack and the other boy turned.

Walking towards them was a small boy wearing a white lab coat, baggy jeans and a frazzled white hair wig.

"Raf?" Jack asked.

"Hi guys. I'm a mad genius," the younger boy greeted.

"Yeah we can see that bud." Miko said.

"Hey guys look at the time." Jack spoke. "We'd better start heading to class."

"'Kay. See you guys later." Miko said as she ran off.

"Bye Jack." Raf added as he too went off towards his class.

Jack entered his classroom and sat down beside a pink samurai.

"Elita?" Jack questioned.

"Hey, Steadfast!" The samurai replied with a wave.

"That's a pretty cool costume." Jack commented.

"Thanks. Not bad yourself officer." Elita replied.

"Thanks." Jack said as Mr. Ception walked in, without a costume however.

"Good morning, and Happy All Hallows Eve." the teacher proclaimed.

"Yo, careful there escapee! The fuzz is comin' this way!" Wheeljack exclaimed to Smokescreen, who was wearing an orange prison jumpsuit.

"Right, and that's coming from the military man." Smokescreen retorted at Wheeljack as he and Bulkhead were dressed up in identical army outfits.

"Hey nice costumes everybody." Jack commented as he and his fellow freshmen sat down by their friends.

Ultra Magnus was dressed up in a long dark robe, because of the gavel next to him, Jack figured that he was a judge.

Ratchet wasn't dressed up as anything, but he was wearing a pair of lensless 3D glasses with tape wrapped around the middle.

And Bumblebee...was a bumblebee.

As the group began eating lunch, Elita, Arcee, Chromia and Dominique came walking up the hill.

Arcee was a zombie ballerina, Dominique just had a long black dress, and Chromia...

"Chromia, what are you supposed to be?" Bulkhead took the words out of everyone else's mouths as the girl walked up to them.

Chromia wore a pink dress with a fluffy skirt and fluffy pink jacket. She also had fluffy white Ugg boots and had a white paper cone attached to the top of her head with a tail of rainbow tinsel trailing behind her.

"Isn't it obvious?" she asked incredulously.

Everyone shook their heads.

"I'm a pink fluffy unicorn dancing-or rather, walking on...ground." Chromia spoke the last word with slight...disappointment.

"That's, ahem, quite the creative costume." Ultra Magnus commented finally.

Dominique looked over at Chromia.

"What, did you stop your tradition of home made, 'Oddity Costumes' after I left?" she asked.

Chromia blushed.

"Well, I guess I just sorta lost interest in them when we got into high school." Chromia answered.

"Heh, remember that one year when you were a narwhal?" Elita snorted.

"Or what about the time you were a rock?" Dominique added. "Then again that was a weird year in general. Grade 6. Weird year. That was the year that one kid broke the glass on the door to the principal's office right?"

"Yep, and Ronnie Tidman got locked in the girls change room with a raccoon." Elita agreed.

"And how the hell did that happen?" Smokescreen demanded.

"Through a series of unfortunate events involving a dare, a diary and a squirrel." Chromia answered.

"O-okay." Smokescreen spoke.

"So, you guys staying after school for the dodgeball tournament? Or at least coming tonight for the courage walk?" Arcee asked everyone.

"Probably." "Yeah." "Oh definitely." Were the answers she received.

"Alrighty then, cool. We're gonna kick the Con's afts this year for sure." she spoke with a devious grin.

"Okay everyone listen up!" Optimus spoke in his Scouting Legion uniform, fake sword in hand pointing out into the distance.

"The faction is splitting up for the tournament as you all know, for we can only have eight people on a team this year...something about not wanting there being a barrage of balls in the gym and field again." Optimus spoke with the added muttering at the end.

"Make sure to do your best to divide our forces up evenly, as well as make pacts with your fellows for backup players." Optimus commanded. "Our faction has grown, and this war will be won by us!"

The faction gave a massive, collective cheer as their leader finished speaking.

Optimus jumped down from the chair he was standing on and Elita walked next to him.

"Nice speech. You're being a little more assertive than usual." she commented.

Optimus gave her a smug grin.

"It's the outfit I'm tellin' ya. Makes me feel all strong and authoritative." he replied.

"Why are you wearing that thing?" Elita wondered. "Couldn't you have bought something?"

"What? Why? I spent time and money making this cosplay."

"Whatever." Elita gave in with a shrug.

Jack ended up on a team with Raf and Miko, and several older students he had never socialized with.

They lay down on their stomachs, feet against the wall on their end of the gym.

They stared daggers at the team of Decepticons on the opposite side.

Coach Hound blew his whistle and the students got up and sprinted to the middle line, those who didn't manage to get ammunition quickly backed away from the edge of their zones.

Miko, who had been fortunate enough to get one of the first rounds, sent hers flying towards a sophomore. He saw it at the last moment and was able to pull of a narrow miss.

That didn't deter the girl however, as she was able to catch a ball thrown at her. With a pout, she handed it over to a senior on her own team.

Raf was unfortunately the first out. While he was an amazing dodger-"middle school gave me a lot of practice!"-he fell short (no pun intended) when it came to throwing.

Another freshman on the other side caught his shot with relative ease and Raf walked off of the gym floor.

Later on in the game, Jack was pulling back to throw a ball at a senior who was hell bent on getting rid on the other seniors on the Autobot's side, he tackled to the ground by an unseen force.

When he got up, it was a pink ninja who was getting off of him.

"Sorry, but you'd better watch it freshman." the sophomore ninja spoke. She pointed behind her back at a male, green ninja was pulling his arm back.

"That was the ball about to hit you-" the green one sent the ball flying into the hip of another student. "-and that was the Con who threw it."

"Oh, thanks." Jack said as the girl helped him up. "And, the name's Jack...er, I mean, Steadfast."

"Sarah, Pink Ninja. That over there is my bro, Kellen, the Green Ninja." the girl replied. "Let's try to keep each other alive okay?"

"Okay." Jack agreed.

They tried...emphasis on tried.

The number of team members on both sides had begun to dwindle until there were only two left on both sides.

Two seniors on the Con's side with Kellen and Miko left for the Autobots.

The four players continued on sending wave after wave of dodgeballs in all directions. The Green Ninja was able to take out one of the seniors, but the other got him out immediately after.

Then the next Decepticon threw a ball at Miko, but it was too high. Miko made a desperate attempt to catch it. She jumped up and touched the ball with the tips of her fingers but it went bouncing in midair. Miko then went jumping around on her heels to keep the ball from hitting the ground.

Everyone was watching her with confused amusement.

Then she fell to the floor, her opponent not realizing that she had the ball tucked close to her torso.

He ignorantly walked close to the middle line as she jumped to her feet and sent the winning shot flying into his knee.

Hound blew the whistle to end the match and the Autobots cheered.

Miko put her hands on her knees and took deep breaths as her teammates ran to her side.

"Miko! That was awesome!" Raf exclaimed.

Miko grinned, "Was there ever any doubt?"

The students laughed as they were told which team they were facing next.

Oh scrap. It was an Autobot team. Not just any of the Autobot teams either. No, that team had Ultra Magnus as captain.

"Aw bolts." Sarah summed up accurately

Okay Mywinx14? Okay? How was that? Don't expect them to become main characters or anything though, I just established them.

Anyway, the match was fun to write but now they're up against senior Autobots! Who can wait?

Btw, if anyone wants to specualte or write something regarding the whole Grade 6 Ronnie Tidman thing...fell free. It's open to interpretation or at the very least creativity.

Let me know what you think! Comment and review!
