::The High School Hierarchy::

"Rima!" Amu yelled as she ran over to the tennis courts where that gangster Tsukiyomi was, yelling and picking on her best friend. She was still curled into a small, little ball, slightly trembling as the pinkette finally got there.

"What do you think you're doing?" she demanded to that bastard. He stood there smirking. "Well? Wipe that damn smirk off your face, dickhead."

"Oh. She wants to start a name-calling fight," he said, his face closing in on hers. Amu was just about to slap him when he caught her hand by the wrist, pushing it back and holding it above her head. "Not so tough now, are you?"

Infuriated, she spat on his face.

He jumped back, though not on time, scowling as he wiped the saliva off of his cheek. The hipster hoped he would get a pimple later on. "Did you just-"

"That's enough, Tsukiyomi." Tadase had finally come and stepped in, frowning. Ikuto growled at the interference, but couldn't do much as right behind him was the coach, only a few yards away. "Get lost, Ikuto. We're about to have a game. We don't need pathetic cheerleaders like you to win."

"Break a leg, Tadase," Ikuto countered. "I mean it."

"Good luck to you too," Tadase replied as he tried to comfort Rima, helping her back up. Ikuto and his gang spat on the floor before sulkily leaving. Before he left though, he went up to Amu and whispered in her ear.

"The hipsters are going down... Especially you." And with that, he bit the pinkette's ear and left, leaving her stunned, angry, and completely red down to her neck.

Amu hated that bastard. She would have done something back to him for trying to seduce her in such an annoying and vulgar way, but the opposing tennis team was already here. The game had to start. Ikuto was a matter to settle later.

She looked over at Rima, who was smiling competitively now, though of course it was obvious that she was forcing it. She tried to give Amu a reassuring, warm smile.

"Good luck, Reems," Amu said.

"Good luck, Amu."

And the game began.

Rima had already gone back to the locker room after the match had finished. Amu was going against their varsity team with Tadase as her partner and they managed to get in the winning point before the time ended. The two victoriously high-fived the other team and their opponent congratulated them, though a few of them were spouting a few insults behind Seiyo's back. Then again, they lost, so whatever.

But a sentence from one of the girls really irked the pinkette, as much as she wished she could care less.

"Hey, who's that handsome guy over there?"

"I don't know, but he's hot..."

"Hotter than the opponent team's blondie."

'So not true,' Amu thought in her head as she walked away. Ikuto and his gang were coming back towards the courts and the hipster did not want to be there at the moment. The girls were swooning and Amu heard one of them say that he winked at them.

"Disgusting."

Before the gagging could commence, Amu quickly headed towards the girls' locker room until one boy got in her way with a big hug.

"Amu!" Kukai cheered, hugging the hipster tightly. Laughing, Amu hugged him back, the smell of him simply calming her down and clearing all hateful thoughts from her mind. A boyfriend truly did wonders. "Congrats on winning the game."

"Thanks. How was soccer practice?"

"Great, like always." He planted a kiss on her cheek. "Well, you better go get ready, I'll be waiting out here so we can go on our little adventure," he whispered in her ear. The feeling tickled, and Amu giggled.

"Alright," the hipster replied as she walked inside. As she did, she spotted Rima sitting down on a bench, tying her shoelaces by the entrance. "Rima."

She looked up and smiled weakly.

"Hey, Amu."

"We won," the pinkette said, opening her locker and beginning to change out of her uniform.

"Yeah."

"So... what happened before the game?" she asked her quietly and slowly. The shorter girl was silent for a few moments.

"Nothing much."

Amu raised an eyebrow.

"Don't want to talk about it?"

"I said nothing much, Amu."

"You sure? I'm worried it's because of my actions earlier."

"No, it's not…"

The way she said that so softly made Amu unsure.

"What about-"

"It's nothing, seriously."

"But—"

The blonde became triggered.

"I said it's nothing, Amu! Just forget about it!" she screamed, her eyes scrunched before she opened them again and started to tear up. Amu immediately began apologizing and trying to comfort her.

"I'm sorry Rima, I was only trying to help, I'm so sorry..."

"It's fine, Amu." Rima pushed my helping hand away softly. "Please, just forget about it."

"Ok, I won't ask any further…" Amu reassured her as she watched Rima silently close her locker and gather her things.

"I'm going home. Really, don't worry about me. It's nothing. Bye," Rima said.

"Bye."

As Rima left, Amu sighed, knowing that she'd have to do some talking with that Tsukiyomi later.
