Have I updated since school started?...I don't know. Anyways...

Please enjoy.

The following day at school, Shockwave was the talk of the academy since he had walked into the building accompanied with a new student.

The first thing most students noticed about the new kid was that he was tall. Probably the tallest student in the school, maybe even taller than a lot of the teachers. He had dark skin with sharp, orange eyes and dark red hair that fell long and straight around his jaw.

As everyone gawked at him, he looked back with an almost feral excitement as Shockwave led him through the halls.

"Did you guys see the new guy with Shockwave?" Smokescreen asked Bumblebee and Raf on their way to lunch.

"No, but I've been hearing about him all day." Bumblebee replied.

"Did you see him Smokescreen?" Raf wondered.

"Real quick in passing. He was really tall and looked like seriously bad news. Maybe even worse than Megatron." Smokescreen answered.

"So, so you think he's gonna join the Deceptions?" Bumblebee asked nervously.

"Shockwave was with him wasn't he? He's totally here to join them." Smokescreen said as they walked out into the back hill.

The group walked up to their usual lunch spot and sat with their friends who evidently, were also talking about the new mystery student.

"Where do you think he's from?" "He's definitely going to pose a huge threat to the Autobots."

"Uh, hey everybody." Raf greeted.

"Oh. Hey Raf." Jack replied, motioning for Raf to come and sit beside him. Raf complied.

"Everyone is talking about that new kid, huh," Raf said.

"Are you kidding?" Miko cut in. "I saw the dude in the hall earlier today. A total mammoth. He's definitely taller than both Optimus, and Megatron. He's gonna be serious trouble."

"Regardless," Magnus cut in. "We Autobots will remain strong."

"Yeah, I mean, how tough could he possibly be?" Bulkhead added. "He's just one guy."

"Eh," Ratchet spoke. "Are Optimus and Megatron not a pair of 'one guys'? They each alone have both proven to be a lot for their respective, opposing factions."

"True." Bulkhead agreed with a groan.

"Guys!" Wheeljack exclaimed suddenly. He was pointing at the hillside, where Shockwave had just emerged from, and behind him was the new student.

"Speak of the devil and he shall appear." Wheeljack muttered under his breath.

The pair walked past them. The taller student looked over in their direction, and waved. Surprised, none of the Autobots could decide whether the gesture had any sinister implications behind it.

While he had little interest in the school that focused mainly on science and technology, Preston Kingsley knew that the Vos Institute was a high end university. Some called it the Ivy League of the Ivy League.

That was why when his father, a professor at this prestigious academy, had told him that a teenager of his age was attending classes there, Preston immediately sought this exceptional student out.

Through his father, the two had met, and the sheer amount of intelligence the similarly aged boy possessed astounded Preston.

Once getting over the sheer size of his brain, the two had begun to get to know each other. Preston had been more or less home-schooled his entire life, so when Shane spoke of his high school and the 'misadventures' that had occurred there, Preston felt as though he was listening to some grand adventure tales of times long past.

Shane explained the factions and the way they worked, and through his explanation, Shockwave was able to convince Preston that with Megatron at the helm, the Deceptions were the ones to follow.

When Shockwave decided that he would return to Cybertron Academy, Preston made sure that he himself would follow. It was through the application process that he learned of his relation to one of the founding members of the school.

As soon as his spot was assured, Preston told Shockwave that he wished for his faction name to be Predaking.

Now here he was, at the school that he had heard so much about.

He found that everyone was gawking at him as if he were some sort of extinct species miraculously brought back to life.

It was kind of hilarious.

Shockwave made it clear to Preston that the faction war could get violent and that was well and good for him. Preston was more than able to hold his own in a fight. It was his future opponents that needed to watch themselves.

Preston—er, Predaking, followed Shockwave through the many halls of the school's several floors.

Then, when lunch finally came around for them, Shockwave led Predaking to go and meet Megatron.

"Megatron," Shockwave said to the silver haired boy in the black hoodie. He turned around.

"This is Preston Kingsley—Predaking."

Predaking saw Megatron narrow his red eyes before they looked up and down at him, inspecting him thoroughly.

From the way Shockwave had often described him, Predaking had pictured someone a bit more…intimidating. At first glance, the spiky, scruffy hair that looked as though it hadn't been graced with a comb in months to the near ragged clothes that he wore, Megatron simply looked like some street punk who thought he was tough scrap until reality eventually caught up with them. However, the way those scarlet eyes shone as they inspected his body, seeming to take in every detail, Predaking saw an intelligent young man who was a force to be reckoned with.

"So," Megatron finally spoke. "You're the guy who I've heard so much about from Shockwave. As well as the guy who's garnered all of this attention today."

Predaking nodded his head and held out his hand.

"Indeed. It is good to meet you Megatron." Predaking replied.

Megatron took hold of the outstretched hand and shook it firmly.

"And it's good to meet you Preston." Megatron said.

"Ah, Megatron, if you please, it is in my humblest wishes to be called Predaking."

"Hm, very well, Predaking. Welcome to the Decepticons." Megatron raised his cup. "Here's to your good times soon to come here at Cybertron Academy."

Yes indeed. Welcome to the story Predaking.

Man, a bunch of stuff has been happening over on my end. Me getting a laptop is probably the most significant change-it was used to type this chapter.

Speaking of, writing Preston "Predaking" Kingsley was definitely something new for me. Definitely fun too. Also, I find that the more I write about him, I'm slowly beginning to like Megatron a lot more. Anything else?...Nope.
