It took some time to find where they were going. They began to wonder if they were just imagining things. But that was impossible. That soul felt strong. How could it have disappeared so easily?

"Kid, I can't sense it anywhere." Maka said concerned.

"Neither can I. Dammit, it must have gotten away somehow." He said agitated.

They landed on the ground and recalled the board which disappeared.

"Maybe we'll have better luck searching on foot." He suggested. "It's around this area, I'm sure we can find it if we really try."

She nodded and they ran off searching.

Meanwhile, back at the DWMA, the test Professor Stein had given was over.

Soul, as always had failed and Patty had made yet another origami giraffe out of her test.

"I sometimes wonder if she ever actually gets a passing grade for that." Soul said confused.

"Who knows. Grades don't matter anyway." A boy said who sat next to him. "Everyone knows that I'm the best in this school."

Soul looked at him. "Oh, is that so? Then tell me Black*Star, how did you defeat the kishin." Soul asked.

"Oh that? I call bs on that whole ending." Black*Star said, expressing many fans opinion on the ending of the series. My apologies, I'm breaking the 4th wall here.

Soul chuckled. "Well, either way, she's the one who beat him. Come to think of it, I wonder what she's up to."

He pulled out his phone and began looking through some stuff. After a few seconds he looked next to him.

"What 'cha looking at, Soul?" He asked curiously.

"What I'm looking at on my cell is none of your business." He responded.

"Oh come on, if you let me see, I'll be your best friend." He said trying to let him see the phone.

"Star, you are my best friend, but back up or I'll slug you through this table." Black*Star reached out his arm for it.

"Come on, Soul, just let me see it." He said as Soul held him back.

Soul held the phone away from him. "Dammit, Black*Star, I said no!" He shouted, attempting to push Black*Star back.

"Oh, come on," He continued. "I just want to see."

A click was heard throughout the room and everyone went silent.

"Soul" Stein said, holding the screw on the left of his head. "Am I right in assuming that you are using your cell phone in my class?"

Black*Star backed off. "Soul, as you know, I have a rule against having cell phones in my class." Stein said with his eyes closed.

He now opened his eyes and looked at Soul. "I'll have to punish you for this."

Soul got a look of horror due to the tone Stein spoke in.

Splash, the sound of a mop entering a bucket echoed in the large hallway.

"That damn Stein. Why the hell do I have to clean up this place? Couldn't he just give me detention or something?" He looked up at Black*Star, who was relaxing on a beam. "I could use a little help, you know!"

He looked down. "Please, a big guy like me doesn't have to clean up messes like that."

Soul ground his teeth and then sighed. "This is so not cool..." His phone buzzed and he pulled it out.

"Didn't Stein tell you not to use your phone?" Tsubaki said cautiously. "What if he sees you?"

Soul shrugged. "It's from Maka."

Hey Soul,
So, I was in this store earlier and they had this type of phone. It was kind of a phone, I think. It was one of those ones with all the apple things, I guess? Anyway, I have no idea how to use them and was thinking about buying one. I think it was an eye phone or something like that. That's what the guy in the store said it was called. Hope you're doing well and get back to me soon,
-Maka.

He sighed. "Maka, this is a text message not an e-... wait, she's thinking of getting an iPhone?" He grinned and looked up at Black*Star. "Hey, dude, check this out. Maka's going to try to buy an iPhone."

Black*Star jumped down to the ground. "What? Let me see." He said grabbing the phone from him.

They both started laughing at the idea of her trying to turn the phone on, much less trying to use the apps.

Tsubaki read the message too and didn't quite get what was so funny. She hadn't really cared much for cell phones, so she just assumed that was why.

Soul texted her back a message.

Maka, if you want to get an "iPhone" not "eye phone" then that's cool.

He hit send and heard foot steps around the corner so quickly began moving the mop he had back and forth as he slid the phone into his sleeve to hide it.

Maka received the message and smiled. "Hey, Kid. I think I'm going to get one of those phones I was looking at back in that store."

Kid looked at her with concern. "You're kidding right?" She looked back at him confused. "Maka, you can hardly handle the phone you have."

She shrugged. "I guess I'll just have to figure it out." She looked up. "Oh, there's a shop I can get one at." She said running over to it.

Kid sighed. "I suppose we can look for souvenirs while we're here." He said following her inside.

Maka went up to the customer service desk and asked for an iPhone.

Kid wandered off looking for something worth purchasing. "Oh." He said after something caught his eye.

It was a statue of a cat, but it was made perfect. "What are you?" He said with a blush picking it up. "You are most amazing, what a great find. Perfectly symmetrical in every way." He said looking at it from different angles. "Not even a single scratch."

As he continued to look at it a crowd gathered near him, as they weren't used to someone acting this odd over a statue of a cat.

Kid finally stood up. "That settles it. I'm buying this." He turned and looked at the crowd. "I'm terribly sorry, but this stone feline is mine. Perhaps this place will have another one sometime soon that you can also purchase." He said walking by them all.

The man at the counter had finished setting up Maka's new phone and Kid bought his statue and paid extra to have it placed in custom fitted styrofoam and sent to his home in Death City.

Maka kept turning the phone around and looking for a button. "Kid, I need help... I don't know how to turn this thing on..."

Kid sighed and turned it on for her. "There y go Maka." He said handing it back.

She took it and started pushing icons. "Oh, wow! Kid, this thing has a compass on it. And, a store to buy more apples and stuff." Kid sighed. "Oh! It has a camera too? That is so cool!"

Kid couldn't help but smile as she got more and more excited with the phone she now held. It was nice to see her excited about something. Refreshing in a way.

She looked at Kid and blushed a bit before looking back at the phone. "Hey, um... if we get lost we can find our way back to the hotel we're staying at. I have an apple that has maps on it."

Kid looked at the phone. "I think it's best we just remember where we've been."

Maka pushed on an icon that looked like a notepad and it opened. A keyboard came up and she stared for a moment before pressing a letter which appeared on the note. "Oh, I can keep a diary on this thin now." She thought and then shook her head. "No, who would keep a diary on their phone?"

{[( Sorry for the wait and the fact that this chapter seems a bit dry, but I'm trying to start up about three other stories right now. But you guys kept asking for more, so here it is. I promise that the next one won't feel as forced as this one. I am also sorry for carrying over the iPhone joke from last chapter, but I thought it would be an interesting tool to have in this story. Thanks and please review and check out my other stories if you want to.)]}
