Jon carried Annie to her room, over the past few weeks, he noticed the changes on her weight whenever he'd carry her like his princess. She had gotten lighter over the past few weeks, the usual sun-kissed glow of her skin was replaced by a paler, unhealthy glow. Outside, thunder rumbled, an ominous storm was brewing.

"Stay here," Annie's soft voice sounded calm, it was as if right now, she's not suffering from the nagging migraine and the temporary paralysis of her legs. Jon smiled at her, his familiar dimpled smile comforted her from the pain and the suffering she under and although it didn't give her physical strength to regenerate, it fuelled her mental wellbeing significantly.

"I won't go anywhere, sunshine," his raspy voice responded as she too, smiled in relief and content. Jon lay himself down next to her, smelling her apple shampoo on her pillows as his strong, warm arms pulled her close towards him, holding her his captive. "I want you to come to Florida with me next week," he started, finally speaking out the idea that has been brewing at the back of his mind. With his contract secure for the WWE, he has next week to move to their developmental territory in Florida where he'll be further trained and his skills and talent will be further recognised and addressed.

"Mmm," came Annie's sleepy response. Jon wasn't sure whether that was a yes or a no but he assumed it was a yes. "I'll always be with you, Jon, you don't have to ask," she said after a minute of pure silence. She closed her eyes tiredly, feeling Jon's gentle, warm hand soothingly run up and down her arm, comforting her from the pain she was under. "I'm so happy for you," her voice sounded tired, as if she'd been deprived from rest and in truth, she has been. "You make me so proud Jon," sleepily, she murmured, "I love you so much, Jon, only you, don't forget that…" Jon raised his head and kissed her shoulder. She looked like she's sleeping but her breathing pattern told him she's awake.

"Annie, are you awake?" he asked her quietly, she raised her hand weakly and flashed thumb up in response. "Good, because I want you to hear me tell you that I love you too without falling asleep on me," he whispered in her ear, Annie managed to chuckle, despite the burning feeling it caused her throat.

"I know you do," she whispered her response, Jon smiled, he's glad that she does.

"You know how you wanted a dozen of kids, well, we could start now, Annie. We could get married before we head to Florida, I'll pick up a ring tomorrow, then you'll say yes, of course you'll say yes. Then, we'll get married at the parish down the road," Jon found himself saying but it was Annie's even breathing that told him she's no longer listening, she had fallen asleep. Smiling to himself, he brushed a few strands of her hair away from her pretty face and admired the woman lying down before him. Lovingly, Jon leaned to press a kiss on her lips before lying back down next to her, holding her tight and close.

There was a feeling of happiness within Jon. He felt like he accomplished something big today and he did. He learned to accept the fact that love does exist and he finally gathered enough courage to admit it to Annie how much of a meaning she has in his life. All it took was Annie to show him a new side of life he refused to accept in the past, the side of life where love does exist. Holding her in his arms, Jon too fell asleep with a smile on his face that matches Annie's.

The rain was pouring when Jon opened his eyes tiredly. Darkness surrounded him and sleepily, he reached for Annie's bedside lamp, turning it on. Light almost instantly illuminated the room as Jon glanced at the clock, letting him know he slept for seven hours. Turning his gaze to the woman in bed, a small smile crept in his lips. Yes, he made up his mind, he'll definitely marry Annie before they leave for Florida and he's almost certain she'd say yes.

Reaching for her hand, Jon's blue eyes widened upon feeling an unfamiliar coldness on her limp hand. Almost instantly, he crawled closer towards her, the bed squeaking under his weight as he held her limp hand tightly in his hands, his fingers attempting to feel her pulse. There was none. Like a man who has lost his mind, Jon let out a loud, sorrowful scream as he reached for Annie's lifeless body, hugging it tight in hopes that if he keep her warm, she'd open her eyes and tell him that she was just cold because of the weather.

The door of Annie's room burst open as Jeff stepped inside, his eyes wide and alert. It was Jon yelling on top of his lungs that brought the elder man in the room, concerned. He doesn't need to ask Jon what's wrong when Jeff's eyes caught sight of the broken man in the centre of the bed, in his arms was Annie's motionless body. Somehow, Jeff felt himself loose balance as he collapsed on the floor in a heap of mess, his eyes brim with agonised tears. All of the sudden, upon a loss of an angel, two men who refused to show anyone their weakness cried in one room, broken.

"Is this what you want?" Jon's cold voice asked, earning Jeff's attention as he looked at the shattered man in the bed. "Is this what you fucking want!?" Jon screamed, addressing no one in the room but the invisible force Annie would always call fate. "Are you fucking happy now? You took her away from me! I fucking hate you! I FUCKING HATE YOU!" crazy with anger and angst, Jon yelled at the ceiling above, he was delirious as Annie's face filled with droplets of his warm tears. He's never cried before, not even at his own mother's funeral. Tears meant weakness and if crying is the only way he could get the heavy feeling within his heart out, damn it all.

Jon tore his tearful gaze away from Annie when he felt Jeff's hand on his shoulder. The feeling of sorrow was mutual for Annie has touched both their hearts in her lifetime, just like she did with so many others. "I'm sorry, Jon," the elder man told him, expressing his condolence. Jon turned away and gazed down at Annie's face. She looked like she's just sleeping but her soul has left her body for it doesn't have that familiar aura and glow beneath it.

"I'm sorry too, Jeff."
