There was complete darkness as the specialists and the faeries and witches looked over the gates of Alfea towards the three Trix sisters on their thrones of decay. Everyone had panicked looks on their faces and Riven was not optimistic about how this battle would end.

He heard about how Red Fountain had fallen and that these creatures were almost unstoppable. He wished he could be of more help, since he did date Darcy and should know their inside plans. But she was smart, she didn't let him in on anything and if she did, she must have made sure to hypnotize him so he would forget it.

When Riven first got back, everyone was angry at him and he had to have a talk with the headmaster about how he basically skipped half the semester. They would have expelled him if they were not about to enter what was most likely to be their final battle. The headmaster pardoned him, though this didn't mean his friends trusted him right away.

Timmy was upset at first but got over it realy quickly after Riven apologized sincerely. Brandon wasn't mad for too long either because they had to figure out a plan.

He didn't have time to talk to Musa or even begin to explain. He saw her a couple times in passing and across rooms and she gave him a horrible glare. Her friends did the same, especially Stella.

"Dude, she'll come around" Brandon told him as they waited for the army to come near.

"If we get through this, I am going to go up to Musa and beg for forgiveness" Riven said.

"Maybe you should tell her now, you know, just in case something happens to her or you." Timmy said.

"She won't even look at me. And when she does, she looks like she wants to kill me. I'm going to have to wait. Maybe here I can show her what side I really am on."

"I don't know if it matters what side you are on, you still fucked another girl" Brandon joked.

"What the fuck man, that's not funny" Riven said. But as he thought about it, it all seemed hilarious. He was about to die fighting his ex girlfriend, who locked him in a tower and hypnotized him for god knows how long.

Riven started laughing with Brandon and Timmy joined in. Their laughter was cut short though as the ground began to shake. The monsters were starting to break in.

Dark brown colored beasts soon broke through the shield around Alfea and charged the specialists. They were the first line of defense. Riven was grateful for all of his sword training that year because it was finally paying off.

Everywhere he turned there was some monster trying to kill him or one of his classmates. He wasn't even trying to kill them, just slow them down because there was so many. Every time he would slice off an arm or a leg, it would grow right back. These monsters were getting impossible to beat.

They had to pull back closer to the school. All of the fairies were attacking the beasts from the sky with the witches help. They too were having difficulties in defeating any of them. If you hit some at the right spot, they would explode and not reform. However there were so many different types of beasts it was impossible to tell what the weak spots were on all of them.

Riven soon figured this out and realized that they needed a better strategy. He fought his way back to Timmy, who was sitting at a command center trying to coordinate with all of the ships that were in the air attacking.

"Timmy, we need to figure out how to beat these things, they just keep regrowing!"

"I know! I have no idea what to do though!" Timmy replied frantically.

"Some of them are the same, what if we figured out all of the different types and their weak spots?" Riven said.

"That's going to take some time, we need to see exactly where and document each…"

"No time for documentation. As soon as I figure out which ones are which I'll let you know then you can make everyone else aware of it".

Riven jumped back into the battle and tried to figure out what monsters were the strongest and where their weak spots were.

As he attempted to kill monster after monster, he saw Musa in the corner of his vision on the ground. At first he panicked, thinking she was already dead. But he saw her hands moving and trying to attack the monster with a ball of light.

Luckily, this monster was one he had figured out. It was one of the bigger troll-like ones. Their weak spot was at the top of the leg where in a normal human body the leg would meet the hip. He ran as fast as he could over to where Musa was and stuck his sword through the monster from behind. It fell to pieces all over the ground and on him.

Musa looked up and saw that it was him. Instead of her normal glare, she only gave him a small dirty look and said, "Thanks"

"No problem Musa. Those ones have weak spots right around the hip, just above the left leg. I'm trying to figure out each ones weak spot so we aren't wasting our time just cutting off arms and legs." Riven said.

"Oh, well thanks" Musa said. Suddenly another one came up behind her.

Riven yelled, "Musa look out!" Musa quickly turned around and shot an orb of light at the spot Riven told her to and the monster exploded.

"Whoo I did it! "Musa said in celebration.

"Good job!" Riven replied smiling at her. For the frist time in months, she smiled back. It almost seemed like there wasn't a battle going on around them and time was still. Riven wanted nothing more than to go over to her and explain to her everything.

But loud crashing noises interrupted his moment of peace. The monsters were getting even closer and they ahd to retreate back into the school.

Everyone was loosing hope as they tried to fight the monsters, but could not succeed. Riven was exhausted from the amount of monsters he killed, but he was not done trying to find all of their weak spots. He had found many, but it was not helping a lot. The worst part of the whole battle was that the witches were just sitting on their thrones, not doing any of the work.

As he was battling some monsters, a bright flash of orange came over his eyes and he was knocked down by the monster. He put his sword up as a shield just in time before the monster could clobber him.

Everyone looked to the sky to see Bloom, glowing orange and yelling at the Trix. "She must have gotten her powers back" Riven thought. That must be a good thing, since she is supposed to be powerful. He didn't have time to worry about her though, he was still on the ground and the monster was relentless.

All of a sudden a flash of pink went by his face and the monster burst open. He looked behind him and saw Musa standing there.

"That one's weak spot is right in the middle. Oh and by the way we are even now" Musa said. She still looked pissed, but she just saved his life so she couldn't be very angry with him.

As the battle continued, Riven grew weaker. He had been fighting for almost three hours straight when all of the monsters disappeared. He heard loud yells from the sky and saw something fall. Moments later Bloom walked into the courtyard carrying Icy's unconscious body.

Everything went by quickly after Riven saw Bloom. She fought Icy and the rest of the Trix while he continued to fight the monsters with what little strength he had left. As soon as Bloom defeated the witches, the monsters disappeared. Everyone started cheering and was happy about their win.

Riven tried to find Musa to see if she was okay but there was so many people crowding around in the courtyard he could barely see. It took him a while, but he finally spotted her dark blue hair in the crowd and walked towards her. She was with all of her friends and Riven was nervous about talking in front of them. He figured he deserved it though, and needed to make a public apology.

"Hey Musa, can I talk to you?"

"Sure, what do you want?" Musa said in a slightly annoyed tone. However she looked happy to see him.

"I just wanted to apologize again for everything that happened with Darcy. I hope one day you can forgive me, and that maybe we can be friends."

"Awww!" Stella said and clapped her hands. Musa blushed and told him thanks. Riven awkwardly walked away, still not sure if Musa would ever forgive him.

For now, he was happy that she didn't seem to completely hate him and that she was safe.

Sorry for such a long hiatus. I know it's not a good excuse, but school and work got busy for me. I still plan on finishing this story eventually. It might still be slow since I still have school, but thanks for sticking with this to anyone still reading.
