A/N I've been busy so this chapter has been more delayed than I wanted it to be. I hope the next chapter will be sooner ready.

Because of some personal issues I can't write for the story "Runaway" for the moment. I hope it won't take too long before I can write for it again. It's just too painful right now. I'm sorry that y'all need to wait longer. I promise that as soon as I'm able I'll write for it again.

Enough talking for now let's go back to the story so y'all can read the next chapter. As always please R+R. I just love it to get them.

Chapter 19

"Alex, Doc, finally! You two intelligent people need to tell these morons here that I'm fine and ready to go back to my own room!" Olivia says out loud.

Alex and Nathalie look at each other. This was gonna be a tough one.

"Ready to face the firing squad?" Alex asks smiling.

"No. But this is as good as it gets." Nathalie answers.

The two women walk to Olivia's bed where two nurses are standing next to it. You can see the relief on their faces.

"Thank God you are here. She's driving us up against the wall. And the other patients need to be able to wake up quietly. No need to say that's not happening now. Good luck, Ma'am." One nurse says.

"I apologize for my girlfriend's behavior. I'll make sure she will calm down and won't disturb the other patients anymore." Alex apologizes.

Then Alex turns to Olivia.

"Olivia Benson you need to stay quiet, there are other people here and they need to wake up in silence. I know you want to go back to your room but you are not allowed to go back so fast. And we are not going to sue anyone in this room understood?! They are only doing their jobs. Nathalie is going to tell you how long you need to stay here and you will accept her answer without protesting. Do I make myself clear, Detective?!" Alex asks with her courtroom voice.

"But Alex..." Olivia tries.

"No but Alex's. If you want me to stay here with you, you do what she tells you to do." Alex answers with a small smile.

"That's blackmailing Counselor. That's not fair. Traitor." Olivia mutters.

"I'll take that as a yes, Detective?" Alex smiles.

"Yeah yeah." Olivia mumbles.

The nurses look at Alex and Olivia and shake their heads surprised. Nathalie smiles a bit.

"Alright Detective I won't torture you much, if everything stays as it is you can go back to your room in 45 minutes." Nathalie says.

"Fine. But I'm not staying one minute longer." Olivia scolded.

"I'll make you a deal. If you stay here for one hour than Alex and yourself may order dinner tonight from any place you want as long as it's not too spicy or too fat and you're not feeling nauseous the rest of the day. Do we have a deal, Detective?" Nathalie smiles.

"Anything I want as long as it's not spicy or fat right?" Olivia asks eagerly.

"Yes." Nathalie says.

"You bet we have a deal." Olivia smiles.

"Very well. Now behave yourself Detective, if you do you get brownie points. With enough brownie points you earn yourself a reward. Every two days you have behaved yourself you'll get rewarded somehow on the second day. So see today as a free gift." Nathalie says.

Olivia lights up like a Christmas tree. Maybe staying in the hospital won't be as bad as it could be.

"Really? There's nothing in the small letters is it?" Olivia ask carefully.

"Nope. This will be hard enough for you so no tricks. I'm just trying to make it easier for you. That's all, I promise." Nathalie answers.

"Wow. I'll try to do my best. Thanks Doc. I mean Professor." Olivia says smiling widely.

"Doc. is alright Detective. Just don't take advantage of it. Now I'll leave the two of you alone and I'll come and see you at the end of my shift. If Prof. Meander hasn't visit you about an hour after your back on your room call me." Nathalie says.

"Alright I will. And thank you again." Olivia answers.

Nathalie nods at the four women and turns around and leaves the recovery room. Olivia looks at Alex.

"I'm not dreaming am I? We can have dinner together tonight right?" Olivia asks not quite believing it.

"No Liv, you're not dreaming. We do have dinner tonight and you heard it right about the brownie points and getting rewarded too." Alex answers.

Olivia beams at Alex and then looks at the nurses.

"Is there something I can help you with?" Olivia asks cheesy.

The nurses shaking their heads with a smile on it. The Detective is really something.

"No Detective. I think everything will be alright, now." One of the nurses answers.

Still shaking their heads the nurses walk away. Olivia stayed calm the next hour and talked with Alex softly so that they wouldn't disturb the other patients in the room and they were having a light conversation. After an hour a nurse came and brought Olivia back to her room with Alex. Alex noticed that Olivia was getting quiet and a bit nervous the closer they came to her room. Before the nurse opened the door Alex asked her to wait a moment with opening it. The blonde takes Olivia's hand in her own and softly squeezes in it.

"Don't worry Liv. Everything is alright. Casey isn't mad at you or something like that. Relax and breath." Alex says softly.

"Thank you Lex." Olivia says.

The Detective nods at the nurse and she opens the door and wheels Olivia's bed back into her room. Casey looks up from the file she was reading and puts it back in her briefcase. When Olivia's bed is on its place the nurse leaves the room.

"Look our trouble maker is back. Welcome back to the lands of the living Detective." Casey teases smilingly.

"Hello Counselor. Thank you for coming, Casey. I own you a big apology." Olivia says softly.

"You own me a big apology? How about the poor nurses you've been badgering before Alex came downstairs to you?" Casey asks brushing it away.

"I behaved myself for an hour after Lex came so they had some rest after that. Annnd because I stayed there for an hour we may order dinner tonight. Anything I want as long as it's not too spicy or too fat." Olivia smiles.

"So she bribed you huh?" Casey teases.

"Nope. Nathalie said to see it as a free gift. If I behave myself I get brownie points. If I get enough brownie points I get rewarded. Every two days I behave I get something on the second day. She said that it was to help me. That it would be hard enough so there are no tricks. So I behaved myself and earned some brownie points." Olivia answers still smiling.

Casey raises an auburn eyebrow and looks at Alex.

"What did they putted in that IV? Who's this and where is our Badass Detective?" Casey asks.

"I think they switched them in the OR. There's probably somewhere else in this hospital a person driving the nurses crazy." Alex smiles.

"I was gonna ask if you would be alright with inviting Casey for dinner but I maybe I should ask that Detective you're talking about. It would be fun comparing Badass stories with each other." Olivia smiles.

"I don't think it is a good idea to invite the Detective. It probably would lead to get new ideas and we don't want that. You're bad enough without getting new ideas. But if Casey wants to join us for dinner that's fine with me." Alex says.

"Are you sure? It's the first time you can have dinner together and not the hospital stuff." Casey asks.

"Yes I'm sure Case. See it as an attempt to try to make it up to you for the way I've been behaving myself." Olivia answers.

"Well that's not necessary but I'd like to join the two of you for dinner." Casey says.

"That's settled then. Now if you would go and get a cup of coffee for the two of you, I would like a moment with Alex alone. Nothing bad I just don't want an audience that's all." Olivia winks.

"Fine, I know when I"m not wanted. Just make sure she can breathe afterwards. I'd hate it if we need to get an oxygen mask for her." Casey winks before she walks to the door.

"Get out Novak. You're just jealous that she's getting attention." Olivia laughs.

Casey burst out in laughter as she leaves the room and closes the door behind her.
